I had a Subaru wagon (with specific options) that I was searching for and in the Western United States I found three, one was listed on the A&A Auto website. After several phone calls and more research, I spoke with Ali (one of the owners) and after several conversations (with a CSR, service technician & Ali) we arrived at a written agreement. A few days later, I flew from Northern, CA to Denver, CO, trusting that the car was accurately represented because my plan was to drive it back to Northern CA. After several flight delays and an Uber, I arrived (with suitcase in hand) at A&A; forty minutes before their closing. Ali greeted and handed me the keys, suggested several places I could test drive. He told me to take my time and we'd talk when I came back from my drive. My initial impression was the car was a bit more "used" in appearance than the photos, but I could see that this was a result of the metallic reflection of the paint. Not only does the exterior paint reflect the colors that are around it, it also highlights shadows. The interior definitely had smoker smell. I had spoken to A&A's service technician during my research and everything that he relayed they had performed (new clutch, brakes, rotors, & complete diagnostic service) had been done. Also, our agreement also stated that the car needed to pass CO SMOG standards. To fulfill our agreement, A&A proceeded to install a new catalytic converter, which is not inexpensive. So, the car was accurately presented, felt very solid, Ali (the owner) was very upfront with me all throughout the transaction and I bought the car. I was a bit concerned about driving the car all the way home (fingers, toes & eyes crossed) especially during the first hours. Each mile getting closer to home, I felt more and more secure that this was a solid reliable vehicle, and a good choice. There were no issues driving the car home from Denver CO to Northern Bay Area, CA. It drives and performs very well for an older car (2006). Also, when I got home I left my home ozonator on (for two days) in the car, the smoker smell is completely gone. No residual smoke order at all. So I'll summarize; I did take a calculated "researched" risk, Ali was very forthright, he communicated with me in a timely manner, A&A accurately represented the vehicle, it was a fairly priced and I would definitely purchase another vehicle from A&A. read more

Contrary to one reviewer's theory, I am not paid for my reviews. And it will be at least 25 years till I have 5 in to earn the alleged $50. Now that's out of the way... I traded in the car I bought from these guys years ago for a later model. The car is a dream and I was out and done with my purchase in 3 hours (we could've probably done it in 2 if I had had all my affairs in order). I left for a few to get some papers and when I returned I signed, initialed, and swapped out my stuff because they had all the paperwork highlighted and ready to go. I have never even HEARD of a car purchase being so fast and painless!! It was like being in Disneyland after it's closed: no waiting, just a fun ride! I looked at a low miles, truck, 2008 dodge with 66000 miles Laramie package. I talked with them twice on the truck and then drove close to four hour to look and drive the truck. The was very nice and looked clean until I opened the doors, the detail was mediocre at best, still smelled like smoke. The real problem is the truck has leaking seals on the rear axle, and the entire bottom of the motor is covered in oil. So I took it back to the dealership they had taken my paper that said it failed, and then gave me one that said it passed and I didn't have to worry about it. So according to the lemon law, I have three business days to be able to return, or replace the car, I chose to return it bc I didn't want to deal with them; and they tried to charge me for the 2 days I had the car and it took me calling the police to get a refund on my money. I wish I could give 0 stars. These guys are rip off artists. I bought a car about a year ago unlike the fake reviews they are paying someone to write for them. When I test drove the car the transmission was shifting hard, they told me not to worry about it, they will have it fixed and wrote it up on a "we owe" I took the car home and came back a week later they told me they can give me a number of a mechanic but if I wanted it fixed I would have to use the aftermarket 3 month warranty they gave me with the car. Just call and Lie they will pay $800 to have it fixed. I did not lie to the warranty company and dropped $1200 into the transmission. Six months later the "brand new" timing belt they had put on the car broke. another $3000. When the took the engine apart the mechanic told me this engine had serious damage and was just thrown back together to get it out the door. I contacted the dealer to find out who the mechanic was as the timing belt has a 50,000 mile warranty on it they told me to stop waisting their time. If I want a replacement they will sell me one otherwise "f*ckoff" Go anywhere else. read more

Was told there cost of repair was ridiculous, there would be no negotiation to allow for repairs, car went through there "inspection" and was fine. Even with clear numbers and two mechanics saying same thing still tried to sell a lemon. Horrid customer service, no intrest in actually trying to fix issues. We bought a car from A&A Auto last month. The check engine light came on during a test drive and we were told it was not a big deal. The salesperson admitted to clearing the code previously. Long story short, 2.5 weeks after we bought the car, it's completely useless because of a head gasket failure. Turns out the check engine light was because of misfires that were caused from the gasket problem. Repair facilities are quoting $3k-6k to repair the vehicle and A&A is not standing behind their sale. They say the repair is our problem even though they advertise that each vehicle is "hand selected," "mechanically inspected," and every car comes with a warranty. They are totally misleading and uncaring. Please go elsewhere to purchase your vehicle. read more

I live more than a hour away. I called them regarding 2 cars that o was interested in and ask for a carfax. Harry and Ali were very kind and set them to me. One of the cars wax in a accident so I'm glad I ask for a carfax. It's the Jeep Wrangler they have and it's a cute pink color. Then the 2004 Volvo C70 had a clean carfax. So we drove to see it. I called ahead of time to let him know I was coming to see it. Ali meet me outside and allowed me to look at it. There was 2 holes in the convertible top, 1 was big enough if it rained I'd get wet. He said that the car was inspected and the hole didn't go through. My fiancé double checked it and showed him it did. He offered to get some water to test it out but also patch it up. The car is already overpriced and then you want me to also buy a new top. I'm am not happy I drive so far to look at a damaged car. I'm glad he'd patch it but that is a temporary fix. I'm my opinion this car is only worth about $2000. Not sure why it's priced at almost $7000. Buyers please beware and double check every detail. I'll be taking my business elsewhere. read more

Well where do I begin? I went into A & A auto looking for a smaller hatchback type car, I found a 07 Kia Spectra 5, I test drove and fell in love with the vehicle, I was told the tires on the care was so bad they were unsafe so I asked if they could replace the tires, I was told the most they could do is give me a $50 credit, well I took it and decided to buy the car, within 24 hours of purchasing the car I was seriously thinking I made a mistake because while driving it the check engine light came on I pulled into an auto part store and asked if they could do a check engine check they said the oxygen sensor was going out, I went back to tell them what happened and to my surprise I was told well you did get one of our "cheaper" cars, yes I didn't pay $10,000 for my vehicle but I did spend $4000 plus I just spent $500 on tires and I thought it would go longer than a day before it started having problems, Ali took his hand held diagnosis machine and said it wasn't pulling up any codes where I responded that obviously there was a problem because the light was on, after much arguing back and forth Ali decided to have me take the car to his mechanic as I was leaving he said he will check it and if it is the oxygen he will pay to fix it when I arrive at the mechanic he resets the light and says if it comes back on that he will recheck the light but that Ali told him he wouldn't pay if it ends up being the catalytic converter I found this to be strange so I asked why he would say that, he responded by saying well the cats could make the light come on and when I told him the auto part store said oxygen sensor and he says well we will see, three days later the light is on again and guess what it said this time? catalytic converter! surprise surprise. Well at this point I feel like I have had the wool pulled over my eyes and I don't trust this mechanic or A&A auto sales, I go to my mechanic and have the cat fixed a week later another problem, the blower on the heater/AC isn't working well, this turns out being a burnt out connector so long story short I bought my Kia from A&A auto less than 2 months ago for $4000 the money I paid to get it running decent so far $2000. I was told the day I bought my car that they depend on good reviews and actually was told if I posted 5 reviews with 5 stars they would pay me $50, is this how you get your 5 star reviews? My review was deleted? They suck. Got ripped off big time. Avoid at all costs. I bought a 2007 v6 Mustang from them around 8 months ago. It had 110,000 miles on it. The asking price was 7,950. Short a grand from MSRP. They said nothing was wrong with it. (I assumed the price cut was because the body was moderately damaged with the front bumper needing to be replaced) I go get it inspected, and there's signs of up to 3 accidents! THEY TOLD ME THE CAR FAX WAS CLEAN. (Which may have been because of undocumented accidents but you never know; with these scammers, it wouldn't surprise me if they lied about the car's record) For starters, I had to pay $900 to replace tie rods and some actuators. But it doesn't end there. When I first bought the car, the power window system wasn't functioning correctly. (The drivers side window wasn't rolling up all the way.) And they said they'd have it fixed. Sure enough, it was rolling up. How'd they fix it you ask? They literally pulled the window up manually which broke the system even more and I'm looking at another expensive fix. But wait there's more!! There was plenty of water damage in the trunk, with tons of rust under the interior carpet. There are exposed wires all over the car. But it gets better. (Sarcasm) After thinking my car was okay, I go get it inspected a second time just in case. Take in to account that I've been driving this car to and from work and school. That's it. However, the entire steering system failed with an expensive 2000 dollar fix for the rack and pinion and steering column replacement. Just to add salt to the wound, my radiator was also broken when I bought the car. So fork in another 200 bucks or so. The speaker was also blown out. So what did we learn here? Don't ever come here. They are liars and will attempt anything get their junkies off their lot. Inexcusable and ridiculous. read more

I seriously wish I could give 0 Stars to this "dealership". They are total con artists and will do anything to get a "deal" for the most they can get out of you in exchange for the worst value to you. I bought a car from them a little less than a month ago. The salesman told me the car had been checked out by certified technicians for safety and was verified that everything in the car was fixed and okay to operate. He told me the only thing that needed to be repaired was the window that was stuck and wouldn't roll down. A couple weeks after I bought the car, it started smoking under the hood and leaking some fluid. I called the dealership to find out how I should approach the issue, and in a very rude manner, they told me to call the warranty company, which is a separate entity from the dealership. So I called the warranty company and explained the issue to them and they told me the repair would not be covered by the warranty and hung up. So, I took it to an auto body shop expecting that only a hose needed to be fixed. However, after a diagnostics check, the guy at the auto shop gave me a list of things wrong with car, totaling to about $1,500 in repairs. I found this odd because the dealership told me I wouldn't need to fix anything under the hood. Needless to say, these guys are NOT trustworthy. I am very disappointed that I spent my hard earned money on a car from them. Please take your money elsewhere. read more

Honestly, those two issues are the least of my concerns now. You really can't go around pointing fingers at the dealership for every little issue but somehow everything is failing on this vehicle. DO NOT BUY A CAR HERE! I purchased my first car here. Car was running great, for about two weeks. What sold me on this place was been around since the 90s and have a 3 month warrenty which most used car places dont. I DID NOT know it would take 3 months to fix the car the transmission for the car. The people who work here dont care other than to sell you a car, the warrenty people won't care about you and the the mechanic they tell you the issue has to go to wont care about you and will take their time to fix it. I took multiple days off work to have him tell oh i will do it next time and next time rolls around i can do it next and when he gets around to it will take him 10 days to fix it because he didnt have the right parts even thought you meet up with them and he made sure he took all the information needed. The mechanic asked for 1500 to remove the transmission and place a used one and the insurance covered the 1000 per the contract but the mechanic jorge didnt care about the time i had to take off or the days i went without a car. I know im not the first person with an issue like this but i dont understand why they would still contract these people to do work for them. read more

CAUTION!! We purchased a car from A&A Auto two days ago. We were assured that it had been thoroughly checked by qualified mechanics and that it came with a 3 month/3,000 mile warranty. The salesman told us that if there was anything major wrong with the car it had been repaired. We had looked at least a dozen cars from private owners over the past two weeks, but decided to go with a dealer since they had the warranty and would be concerned about their reputation for future sales. The car just broke down 45 minutes from home, leaving my son stranded by the side of the highway. The car suddenly lost power, tachometer dropped, engine lights all came on and rolled to a stop, wouldn't start. We called Brian Rice at A&A and was referred to the warranty company. After reading the fine print on the warranty, we discovered they will only cover up to $1500 in repairs with $100 deductible. It was our fault for not reading all the details so I wanted to caution any future customers about the risk that you are taking when purchasing a car from this dealer. I will update this review with a better rating should this issue be resolved satisfactorily, but right now it is not looking good.... read more
