I have dental anxiety (don't we all) but they made sure to make it a great experience so thank you all. This is not a perfect 5 star review simply because of my checkout experience. They do not tell you ahead of time they do not take a payment plan, or at check-in either. And they also expect you to pay hundreds of dollars (after your insurance doesn't cover much like usual) before walking out the door. Not everyone has extra money laying around, especially with how bad the economy is nowadays. Glad I have a credit card for moments like this but still, it's pretty disappointing. He just walks up and starts jamming shots in my mouth with no warning. I was gagging on spit and was trying to point to my throat to try and show him the problem because I had retractors in my mouth and I couldn't speak. He slammed my arm down twice on the dental chair. After the procedure I asked his assistant what procedure he performed on me. Nothing was explained. I have never been treated so horribly by a dentist in my whole life. His nastiness was completely inappropriate. I have worked in the medical field for 30 years and his behavior is completely unacceptable and further action will be taken. The billing is shady. The amount I was told on the day before my procedure was completely different than the day of my root canal. NEVER get dental work done here.

I was nervous and didn't know what to expect; he took the time to do thorough imaging, explain my options, walk me through the process, and go over cost estimates before we moved forward with any treatment. My situation ended up being a little more complicated than expected, but my treatment was all included in the original cost, which was reasonable and less than I expected. (I had never needed any major dental work before and was expecting the worst, so I was pleasantly surprised). The kicker? After insurance processed my claim, it turns out I had overpaid my portion, so Root of Endodontics handed me a check at my last appointment, without me having to look at an EOB or make a phone call asking to be refunded. They provided both amazing medical care and wonderful customer service.

I came in concerned about a tooth issue and tried to engage positively and conversationally, but throughout the appointment I felt repeatedly corrected, talked down to, and shamed rather than educated. For example, when discussing when a crown had been replaced, I casually referred to it as "a couple years ago" and said it was done in 2022. Instead of simply clarifying the timeline, he repeatedly focused on correcting me ("that's four years") until I acknowledged the math. The interaction felt oddly adversarial and unnecessary. He also repeatedly described my mouth and gums in extremely negative terms ("filthy," "awful"), questioned whether I knew how to floss properly despite my explaining that I floss daily, and told me "you failed today" when I mentioned that I had never previously received concerning feedback about my hygiene from other dental professionals. Constructive feedback is absolutely fine and important. What was difficult was the tone. I left feeling embarrassed and emotionally rattled rather than supported or informed. I'm open to improving anything that genuinely needs attention, but patients can receive difficult information without being made to feel belittled.
