Honestly this is probably the best fish fry I've ever had. It was flakey and the batter was freaking phenomenal! Now the only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 - well hubby's sandwich isn't extravagant but when you ask for extra crispy bacon and it comes out floppy - ugh - but also we don't like to send food back so he ate what he could. The staff was great and the outdoor seating and the live music was awesome! We'll definitely be back. read more

The island bar is definitely one of our regular stops. The food is awesome. The atmosphere is great and they have done a lot to improve this area to include a concrete patio pad and sunshades. The owners are super nice and very hospitable. Live music every weekend and the pretzels and cheese curds are amazing! read more

This was our second visit to the area and our second visit to Island Bar and Grill. It did not disappoint! Food was fantastic, service was great and the ambiance along the river was lovely. Next time we have to make a point of coming when the live music is playing! read more

The food here is good overall. I didn't personally prefer the baked cod, but everything else looked great, especially the burgers. The burgers were a little smaller than expected, but the flavor was tasty. The avocado fries are amazing, and the beer options are plenty. It's the best place along the peninsula. read more

We love this place. A great place for lunch and drinks on Kosh.. Great docking, deep water. The food is outstanding. The waitress, Dana, is a keeper! She is friendly, quick and has a great sense of humor. Right on the Rock River, great views and they even have boat gas. Highly recommended. read more

First of all, when I walked into this place I was greeted by the scent of body odor. The second thing I notice is the waitress is wearing a shirt that says "master baiter". I like to fish to but that's not funny in front of my sweet 5 & 6 year old. Lastly, I was appalled when she ashed her cigarette into my food. Love myself a camel crush, but not in my burger. We frequent the Island bar and grill and find the food to be quite enjoyable. During the summer weekends they have live bands to enjoy which is a plus. Their food menu is not extensive but everything they served is very tasty. This is a staple during the summer especially when we have our boat in and we want to take guest to enjoy a lunch or dinner meal! read more

Overall not satisfied with going to this bar. It's not often that I regret choosing a new restaurant but my food came out cold and my drinks tasted horrible. Better off stopping at a McDonald's drive thru window. read more

We ordered coconut shrimp, cheese curds, guac burger, onion rings, grilled cheese and fries for the family. We did pick up, which worked smoothly. They wouldn't let us pay over the phone, which is a little unusual but not a huge deal. My husband said his onion rings and burger was very good. My coconut shrimp was very good and would order again; however, the cheese curds were overcooked. They were left uneaten, which never happens in this family :) I didn't try my kids' fries but my husband said they didn't taste good. Those were also left uneaten. Super fun beach bar on Lake Kosh! Great bands, outdoor area, & drinks! Awesome staff, too! We love to stop by in the summer - especially because they are dog friendly! My only suggestion would be to add a vegetarian meal option, like a veggie burger :) read more

I came here on a whim on a Sunday afternoon. Live music. Friendly waitstaff that do hustle. Great selection of beer and mixed drinks. I had the chicken wrap. Very good and filled with fresh ingredients. Others had steak bites, burgers, salad and grilled chicken sandwich. All was good. Plan on coming here again. read more

OMG!! This is an amazing place to go have lunch and dinner, the atmosphere is amazing, the waitresses make sure that you are fine, and they aren't over the top with asking you questions. I had the hangover burger, with the pub chips, and oh man! Even after I was full I couldn't stop eating it, the burger was cooked to perfection, and the egg on it was just amazing. A really great thing is that if you get hungry while out on your boat, you can just pull into the dock and go take a seat and they will come and hand you menus and they will take care of you. The stage is not in the way, it looks well kept, and when they have the performances they don't blast their music late at night. The owner is very nice and friendly. There are a lot of tables outside that you are able to find a seat with ease. There is even people parking off the side of the road to go here. With food like this you have to go here... More than once. 5 stars is too little to rate a kind of place like this! read more
