This is actually a review for the Watertown Hubbleton Bar and Grill (couldn't find the Yelp listing for them). Visited today for lunch and beers, and my wife and I had a great time. Good fish fry, great beers (especially the Schwarzbier!), and super friendly bartender/GM Mike. We'll definitely be back!

Nice place to go for a rural drive on a Saturday afternoon with good aps, great old fashioned and a band playing.

This wasn't a good picture but it's also only a small part of what they had.

They had everything I look for at a brewery. Great beer, good food, awesome service and an amazing game room. They had lots of selections with good beer, only $5 a pints. The food wasn't perfect but it was still normal bar food. They had lots of comfortable seeting with couches and TV. The game room was pretty big with all free games, pool, darts and mini basketball! The bartender/waitress was helpful and nice, always there for more beer. Beer - 5 Stars Food - 4 Stars Atmosphere - 4 Stars Service - 5 Stars

    Flight in taproom.

    Are dogs allowed inside?

Not indoors due to it technically being a food production facility, but they're totally welcome outdoors!

Tyranena Painted Ladies Pumpkin Spice Ale: Although I've become less of a beer guy since my college…read moredays, I like to try at least one new pumpkin beer each fall. Tyranena was founded in Lake Mills, WI by Rob Larson in 1999. Although that's within my lifetime, it was well before my beer drinking days. Painted Ladies Pumpkin Spice Ale (PLPSA) comes in at an above average 7.25% ABV with an IBU of 22. The bottle depicts multiple pumpkins painted with makeup to resemble women. The term "Painted Ladies" has a few different meanings. It was chosen for Lake Mill's "The Painted Ladies Fling" because the word is often used for Victorian and Edwardian buildings that are painted in ways that help to enhance their architectural details. The fling helps to highlight business and building owners who have embellished and enhanced their buildings throughout the year. Alternatively, it can be used as a synonym for prostitute, and that's why it was chosen for this ale as some of the more adventurous women in Lake Mills dress as painted ladies during the Fling event. PLPSA is an amber ale that pours an opaque copper color with surprisingly little head. There are notes of caramel and toffee, along with pumpkin pie spices (cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, and clove). I found this to be an easy beer to drink as the none of the flavors were overly pronounced (although this could also be a criticism for some). I would say it's a relatively average pumpkin beer, but that's high praise from someone who doesn't drink much beer. Doughboy approved Doughboy_Food_Reviews My favorite Pumpkin Beers: 1. It was a great little hangout spot to rest & recharge. Food and beverages were available but we just had to order at the bar (no table service when we dined here which was perfectly fine). The IPA tasted more like a pale ale but hit the spot. The food was flavorful and hit the spot! Satisfying portions and yummy vegetarian options. We each ordered two tacos and shared a half pan of loaded nachos (we did the sweet potato vegetarian nacho option). There's limited indoor seating at the front and a larger seating space out back including an outdoor patio space that has tables with umbrellas. We sat out back indoors. The flies were bad but it's that time of year. There's a board game shelf, water station and lots of posters advertising fun weekly activities. I loved how kid/baby friendly the place was. They had high chairs and a changing table in one of the restrooms plus they offer kids eat free deals on Thursdays. We lucked out and came here when it was relatively slow. When we left, the bar was jam packed and while service moved it understandably slowed down. Our only regret was not purchasing a Sunshine Brew Co hat before leaving. Guess that means we will have to make a return visit one day!

There are plenty of to go options in the cooler and they often have events like trivia. The indoor space is cute with an open concept surrounding their brewing equipment and hanging plants with cozy dim lighting, and the outdoor patio is nice in the summer especially to bring dogs. They have slowly been improving their food offerings over time. I usually get one of their crunch wraps but tried the chicken club this time and it was delicious, as were the fries! It did get a little messy at the end since there is a lot in between the bread, but it was worth it. There could have been more aioli on the sandwich but I just asked for a side of it and used it for both that and my fries which was perfect. The background music has always been great and the staff have always been lovely.
