Shabu, Shabu...Don't mind if I do! We stopped by during Father's Day so you know it was busy. Took awhile for someone to greet us (to be fair the person that did had multiple jobs that day). Place looks small up front but when you go the back, lots of seating! Lots to choose from if you go soup or grill! Our server was awesome but had to track him down a few times. But it's a holiday and I think they are understaff because it was really busy and the staff was hustling - you saw them running everywhere to help someone. The sushi was good and all ingredients were fresh! Lots of great labels on food item and so many sauces to choose from! I do think the conveyor belt openings at the table are too big and open (too bad they don't have the ones from Sushi Train) because little hands were trying to grab things and fun germs. Cream puffs were good and so was this coffee cake dessert as well (light and rich). Few Tips: * The conveyor belts are different here. They all carry different items. We didn't realize till later that Bok Choy and Noodles were on another belt - just ask a server if hou need an ingredient. * Ask for steam rice if you need it * Your clothes may smell after - ventilation wasn't great and someone near us was grilling seafood (not shrimp but something else). *If you see tongs drop inside a raw meat container, make sure to let a server know so they can remove them and get a new one. For being so busy, it was really clean and so were their restrooms. Really great experience and do want to try this place when it's not a holiday!

Parking - plenty! Located at the Avenue right next to Barnes and Noble. This is family friendly place but if you're using the grill, just keep an eye on the little ones. No reservations, be ready to wait if they're busy. There are a lot of grills so it will move quickly. You can sit in a different area if you're just having the hot pot and more than likely it will move faster or no wait at all. I like that you can make everything your own dish. Flat charge depending which one you decide to go (hot pot or grill or both). But if one person in your party wants to grill, everyone has to grill. Otherwise they will split you. Buffet style if you're grilling. The options are also plenty. There is meat, sea food, veggies, sushi, dessert, toppings and more. The service can improve. Our waitress didn't explain anything to us. So at first we're were lost. Even after telling her that it was our first time, she still wasn't helpful at all. It almost felt as if we were bothering her and wanted us to make a decision quick.

The combination of hotpot and grill omg.. it was a lot for me! I was soo overwhelm I didn't know what to do or what to start with. I like how the table has both. The belt has all your noodles and veggies and then you get your meats for the grill and the hotpot from the buffet area. I will say that it's hard to tell which is for which. Maybe label which is for hotpot bs grill, or if it can be used for both. My other disappointment would be that on the menu it says u limited hotpot broth as long as you stick with the same one, but when I asked for more she just filled it up with chicken broth. That I wasn't pleased with what about the other flavor of it. Overall it was a good experience, next time I know how to mange both although not sure if I really need both but if one person at the table gets it's the whole table has to. What I did see that I thought was different was they even have a like bar with hotpot you can sit at if you are by yourself. Good location, lots of parking!

Minimal photos because I was too busy cooking and eating delicious food! Great options and ambiance, delicious food, and courteous staff. I can't wait to come back!

Very much the same as the Nashville location, which is a good thing. Main difference is this place is much more spacious and lots more seating. Good selection of meats for both the barbecue and the hotpot. I thought the Nashville one had more ingredients to build your dipping sauces, but I could be mistaken. The only problem I had was with the service. It was very slow, barely were checked on, and had to flag a person down to get our grill changed because it had been blowing smoke for some time with nobody giving us a new one. I chalk it up to being recently opened and/or not enough staff. I'll still come back, just hope they get the service issues taken care of.

Great place to bring friends and family. They had an abundance amount of food to choose from including desserts. Will come back again. Friendly and patient service. They help us with explaining everything. Planning another trip soon.

I did a pick-up order, so I'll have to come back and try the hotpot, but our experience with the two dishes we ordered was good. Ordered: 1. Snow pea tips ($21.99) - a classic chinese restaurant dish that they did well; would order again. 2. Sour cabbage fish ($28.99) - the portion is huge (you get what you pay for ~$30), but satisfying. The fish fillets are incredibly tender. The pickled cabbage gives it a nice sour flavor to round everything out, and the soup comes with noodles which was a nice surprise. Food was ready in 40 minutes on a Friday evening, so it's a good idea to plan your order ahead of time.

This fit our time budget just fine as we had about 3.5 hours before our flight departs. This location is what you would expect from an ordinary hot pot restaurant with simple seating, a custom bar to choose the items you want, and a small sauce station. My lovely lady and I decided to go with the custom hot pot option where you grab a large bowl, go to the custom bar and choose the items that you want them to cook in your hot pot. They weigh all the stuff together and charge $14.99 per pound. We originally choose the House Spicy broth, but my beautiful partner asked the lady how spicy was the broth, and she did say it was actually spicy; so she asked them to downgrade my broth to the Sour and Spicy broth, as it was more mild. I'm so glad she did, as my broth still seemed quite spicy, especially the red chili oil floating at the top. I'm not sure how she was able to deal with the House Spicy level, but she was able to power through it. The sauce station was quite limited, without any sweet options to mix with the spicy oil and scallions. Overall, this place is ok for Tennessee. I feel like we are spoiled coming from the Los Angeles area where we have access to so many options with super fresh ingredients.

Our waitress was REALLY hard working and I could feel her stress. I told her to relax, she's doing great. It was probably a bad idea to bring so many people here that have never been to a Kpot before. Even I was overwhelmed! However, she was great and through it all, the staff here were phenomenal with so much back and forth of what people ordered. I definitely will stick to 4 or less people from now on haha. The food was fresh and delicious and I loved loved LOVED the curry based broth, something we don't have in Raleigh, NC. I will definitely be back when we're in the area again.

Having both options at one table is a total win, especially for a group with different tastes. The Highlights: * Better Quality Meats: Compared to some other AYCE (All You Can Eat) spots, the meat quality here is definitely a step up. * Must-Order Cuts: The Galbi is flavorful and tender, and the KPOT Steak is another standout--it's high-quality and cooks up perfectly on the grill. * Spacious Vibes: This place is huge! It's very spacious for big parties, so if you're bringing the whole family or a large group of friends, you won't feel like you're squeezed in. The Tech & Service: * iPad Ordering: I love the convenience of ordering from the iPad right at the table. It makes the process feel seamless. * One at a Time: Just a heads up--even if you order multiple quantities of an item, they tend to still only bring one out at a time. It can slow things down a bit when you're hungry, but it does help prevent food waste. * The Sauce Bar: The sauce area is fantastic with tons of options, though it can get pretty crowded during peak hours. You might have to time your trip to the bar strategically! Overall: The prices are decent for the amount and quality of food you get. It's a reliable, fun experience that keeps our family coming back.

Unfortunately, our experience at the end of the meal really changed how we felt about the restaurant. A different employee, who was not our waiter, came over while we were paying. My sister was planning to leave a $14 tip, but the employee rejected it and told us, "No honey, we do 18%," while explaining that they live off tips. What really bothered me was that she then grabbed the pen out of my hand and wrote in an 18% tip herself, which came out to $23.57. I did not personally write or agree to that amount. In the moment, I was honestly caught off guard and overwhelmed by what had just happened. I completely understand that restaurant employees rely heavily on tips, and we had every intention of leaving one. But a tip should be the customer's decision. An employee should never take the pen from a customer and fill in the tip amount themselves. It's unfortunate because we genuinely enjoyed the food and had no issue with our actual waiter. This one interaction turned what had been a really good experience into an uncomfortable one. I hope management addresses situations like this because customers should never feel pressured into a specific tip or have an employee fill it in for them.
