When I arrived I was greeted by my esthetician who was very friendly. I was not required to fill out any paperwork which was unusual. I was supplied with a wrap with Velcro closure, and I had to ask for a little container to place my jewelry. I'm glad I removed my necklace, rings and watch because my hands and feet were later massaged. I had the Microdermabrasion with Oxygen Infusion Facial Treatment using a Groupon, and my esthetician was Cristina. The experience was very relaxing and one of the best facials I've had, and I've had many! Treatment was applied to face, neck and decolletage (upper chest) which was complete. Treatment for most facials is limited to only face and neck. Also, I've never had Oxygen Infusion before and my skin and I loved it. (I felt some droplets from the cool mist roll down to my ears which weren't wiped until much later in the session). The microdermabrasion was completely pain free, and the results combined with the O2 were excellent. My skin was youthful and smooth afterwards. Refreshing and high quality products, two masks and lots of hot towels were used, and the treatment included soothing massages of my scalp, neck & shoulders, hands, and feet! I do agree with one Yelp reviewer that it was unfortunate microdermabrasion was not done on my nose which is typically one of my problem areas. I also noticed there was no "steam" used for this treatment. Extractions were not included either for the Groupon deal. Making the appointment was not a completely smooth experience, either. On Saturday, I initially requested a 6 pm appointment for Monday. They said they had to check with the therapist and her schedule and get back to me. They did call me back within a few minutes and accepted the 6 pm appointment. But on the day of the appointment someone called me to see if I could come in earlier, like 4 or 4:15 pm. That's a lot earlier for someone like me who works! It was explained there was a "personal" issue with the therapist. I said I could not come in that early. They then asked if I could come in at 7 pm instead and I said ok. Subsequently, I noticed a missed call from them but no message or text was left. I called back to see why they called but the therapist was in session and she never called me back. So I don't know, they may have wanted to change my appointment AGAIN. One reviewer said her treatment was for 1 hour & 20 minutes but mine was for exactly 1 hour, probably because my appointment was at 7 pm and they close at 8 pm. Maybe if my appointment was at my original requested time at 6 pm, I might have had a longer session. The spa is located in the Ohana Hale Marketplace in the former Sports Authority space on Ward Ave. Parking is free and ample so accessibility is easy. If this is your first time to U Beauty, give yourself some extra time to find the place within the Marketplace that's surrounded by fruit and boba tea stands. Also, I thought, how relaxing can this be with so much noise and foot traffic and surrounding vendors, but treatment is in a private room with nice zen-like music so it's for the most part quiet and peaceful. Staff outside the room can be heard from inside the room so they should be aware during sessions, and keep their voices down as much as possible. The room was perfectly temperature-controlled. U Beauty offers an array of services including facials, waxing, eyelash extensions, permanent make-up, massage and body work, and foot reflexology. I'm glad I tried U Beauty. I highly recommend Cristina who said she's been doing this for over 20 years. But maybe since she's so experienced it's hard to secure a firm appointment with her. Despite the hiccups, all in all it was a positive experience and I will be back! read more

Inside the old sports authority in ward. In the middle of the marketplace. They have a little space in there with rooms. You'd think you'll hear a lot of noise from the outside but it's actually very quiet and all you hear is the soothing music that's playing. They have a Groupon for facial and microdermabrasion. It comes with a neck, shoulder, hand and foot massage. They also have a Groupon for pampering which is 90minutes ... it includes full body massage, foot scrub and face massage. Went for a microdermabrasion facial Last week...I enjoyed it except that no microdermabrasion was done to my nose area at all. Which is one of The main part I would think would get done. Especially to The corners of The nose. Other than that. It was enjoyable, she did lots of massaging to my shoulders & Arms while a mask was on. Finished off with O2 hydration. Cute, little hole in a wall place located inside of the old Sports Authority, now called Ohana Hale MarketPlace. They offer different services here such as massage, facials, eyelash extensions, and waxing to name some. They accept walk ins but it's best if you make an appointment. My mom received a massage Pingpong and I received a massage from Nikki. My mom and I enjoyed our foot massage. The place seems very family oriented and everyone is so friendly. Bought a Living Social coupon for microblading. I had pretty good brows but they were thinning so friends recommended trying microblading. I told her that I was happy with my natural brows and shape. I just wanted them filled in a little so they remained looking natural. I also told her that I had a holiday event immediately after and needed to look "normal" otherwise I would reschedule. I had holiday parties every day for the next few days. She assured me I would leave looking completely normal and she would keep everything looking natural. The process was uncomfortable but not horrible. What was horrible is the result. I came out looking like Groucho Marks. I almost started crying right there and did not even want to walk to my car for fear of people seeing me. The color does not match my hair color which is a medium brown. The color of my brows now is a reddish black. The shape makes me look angry all the time. It is not natural looking at all. The original shape of my brows is gone. It is nothing like what she originally drew. When I got home my husband's mouth just dropped. All he said was "OMG, what happened?" Needless to say, I had to cancel going to the holiday parties. One is at our home so I am going to have to face some shocked faces. They said the color will fade eventually but I am stuck with the Groucho shape. This really ruined my holiday season. Had they just told me in advance, I would have been able to plan differently but they promised things that were untrue. I am just devastated. Please don't make the same mistake. Ive always wanted to get my eyebrows done and I've decided to try out the microblading and shading technique from U Beauty and Spa based on the good reviews. Now I regret ever getting them from here. My eyebrows are crooked and not even. I'm giving them 3 stars because they have tried to fix it three times but my eyebrows looks worse each time.
