This is a review regarding Uhaul in general. I'm sitting here looking at a RESERVATION confirmation from Uhaul for a trailor reservation I made several weeks ago. The pickup location was local, and I planned loading resources with this in mind. The DAY BEFORE I was due to pickup the unit, I recieved an email indicating the location for pickup had changed, with the alternative location some 45 miles north of my home. When I spoke to the Uhaul rep, she schooled me on what RESERVATION means to Uhaul, in otherwords reservation means they can send you anywhere they have a unit, even though they initially reserved it for a local location. My complaint is this is not indicated at the time of making the reservation, so any reasonable customer would assume the RESERVATION that is confirmed, is what you can plan on for the pickup date. Not so apparently. Kinda like reserving a ticket for a concert in advance, paying for it, then getting to the venue only to be told they gave your seat to another person. BAZINGA!!!! Let's call this Alternate Reservation, goes along with Alternate Facts. Sign of the times I guess. read more

It was terrible the one mexcian lady was so rude to us we were getting mask and she was yelling at us we were like we are getting them and she was saying put one on or leave my store like we were getting one and she was super impassioent and wa Avery rude this was the worst uhaul experience ever!!! read more

I've never used "UBoxes" before, but thought it was a reasonable rate for $370. When I asked if that was going to be the total price, the woman on the phone said, "Nope - that's it!" So I booked it. We sold our house and were going to stay in a hotel for a few days until the rental would become available. The scheduler called a few days prior to give me the window of arrival - 10-12pm. The day of, I got a call around 10:30 from them saying, "yeah...the nearest location that has empty UBoxes is in Kent, WA, which is over an hour away." She didn't arrive until 3:30 that day. When she arrived in the huge truck, the schedulers failed to tell her we live on a cul-de-sac. She wasn't able to back into my ginormous driveway, and ran over my neighbor's mailbox (cinderblocks). She showed no remorse about what she had done, and handed me a business card with the insurance number on the back. I asked her when my card would be charged the $370...she said, "not until I pick them up next week". Well - they charged my account that day. Then one of the boxes had a bolt that wouldn't come out, so they had to send another guy to come over the following day to remove it. I was under the impression someone would call me the day before pickup to get another estimated window of arrival. I called them...they said they don't usually do that because they can come any time of day to pick them up. I also told them that nobody had asked what my destination address was yet, or when it needed to be delivered. The girl said, "oh, they'll get that information next week." The same gal came to pick the 4 boxes up...without incident. Fast forward, we sell the house and start living in a hotel. I still don't hear a peep from UHaul, so I decide to reach out to them. Nobody answers the customer service line (I gave up after being on hold for 45 minutes)... I try to use the online chat, but after waiting for 30 minutes, it tells me nobody is available at the moment and disconnects me. I try emailing, but the website glitches....and I try leaving a comment, and it seriously wouldn't let me hit the submit button. WHAT THE HECK. I know that's not the Longview location's fault...but I wanted to add that in here, anyway. So then I try calling the same number of the woman who delivered my UBoxes the week prior. It goes straight to voicemail, so I leave a message. I then call the guy that came to fix the box that had a bolt...I leave a message. I'm freaking out here, because NOBODY has asked me when our stuff should be delivered...and where to!! So then, thank the lord...the delivery girl calls me back. It's her day off...and she said she'd get in touch with Steve, the main UHaul guy. He called me back within a few minutes. Such a nice guy. I told him the situation...and we quickly scheduled our stuff to be delivered to the new address the following Tuesday (since nobody was going to be coming out to Lacey on Monday). Yay! We got to move into the rental early, on Saturday. So then...the next day (Thursday, I believe)...I get a call from the schedule people...and they say they don't have my destination address in the system...omg. So I give that to them...again...and I asked if we could have the UBoxes delivered early, since we got into the rental early. She said, yes...and scheduled it for Sunday. Yay! Fast forward....I don't get a call that gives me my delivery window...so I reach out to them on Friday. They tell me, "oh, she'll arrive between 10 and 3 on Sunday"...I said, "Thank you - last time someone called me ahead of time so that I can make sure to be home during that timeframe."...no response. THEN...I get a phonecall on Saturday...from Steve...telling me they're not able to deliver it Sunday...but if they could come out Monday instead. I'm so done. Yes, I'm at your mercy...I don't care...please, just deliver them safely as soon as you can. She drops them off, and one of the boxes is too close to the other one, so we can't unlock the latch. Meh...whatever. We empty out the one next to it, and then push it backwards far enough so that we can access it. SO HERE'S THE KICKER. She goes, "that'll be $107 for the delivery, please." WHAT?? My contract states a $99 delivery charge...nowhere was I notified...or signed anything that stated I'd have to pay an additional $99 delivery charge to have them delivered to the destination. I felt bad, and I apologized to her for getting upset...but I told her I'm pissed, and I wasn't expecting this additional charge. We're broke from moving and haven't closed on our house yet. She said, "I'm just delivering them...I don't know..." So she contacts Dan, her boss. Luckily, he said they'd refund me the money...which they did. I'm thankful for that, I really am - but holy crap. Selling our house was stressful enough - adding this to the mix...I'm surprised I didn't have a nervous breakdown. Total lack of organization...poor communication...but really friendly staff. read more

Horrible experience! Found out the truck we rented tonight had a leaky roof. Called the store and the clerk actually told me there was nothing he could do and that I should go on the website and request roadside assistance... Should have been a simple return to the store and swap out the leaky truck for a dry one. Calls to the local manager have not been answered, call center employees are pretty good at doing their job of not helping either. It's getting late, it's dark, and the U-Haul that I paid $400 for continues to sit empty in my driveway as I wait for roadside assistance- by the way, they are two hours out! My stuff should be loaded by now, safe and dry, waiting for me to get up in the morning well-rested for a six hour drive... Instead, I wait and wait and wait. Horrible service! I reserved a storage unit on line, called the night before to verify the unit was ready, pack up my truck and drove 68 miles to the unit to only find out they don't have any units! Not only do they not have to one they told me at 5:30 pm the night before they had but they had absolutely zero units to rent and said they haven't had an empty unit in months!! So why the heck didn't they tell me that when I called! Thanks for wasting my time and gas! read more

Worst uhaul ever!! Manager did not even call me back after calling 3 times. RUDE SERVICE. I filled up the tank before turning in the truck and they said it was 3 gallons short, so charged me $83.00. Total rip off..... read more

After all the paperwork was finished, we were told we had to leave our vehicle parked out on the public street. Many open parking spaces were available in the lot. Had we been told this when scheduling the truck, we would have taken our "farm" truck instead of our daily driver, or got a ride to and from. The employee was very unprofessional in demanding we park on the road!! U-haul van worked fine. read more

Are you kidding me sent us down the road driving over 2,000 in a broken uhaul got 300 mile and brake lights and no power steering..almost got in a accident. The mechanic in Idaho say it's ok keep driving it this is how you reset the brake light.. Why did I spend$2,000 for a piece of crap that made it 300 miles?? Ughhh if there was a no stars would definitely be hitting it now!! lol for someone else pensky is way cheeper and less stress... read more

This U-Haul location is amazing! The staff is super helpful and this is the cleanest U-Haul I've ever been to! The manager Mike is incredible. He is super friendly and helpful. He really takes pride in his work and in his store. It shows! My husband and I really appreciated the help at this U-Haul. And the truck was SO clean! Thanks so much you guys!
