I just went to the U-Haul store on W. 7th, Eugene OR, to buy small boxes and tape. Despite the young woman behind the counter trying to do the work of three I waited in line for a full half hour before she got to me. When I asked if the store had a manager she said the manager was across town at a manager's meeting. I realize that it is cheaper for U-Haul to let people stand in line than have adequate counter help but perhaps they could start by finding another manager for this store. Charlene is a god-send! My mother moved from Oklahoma to Oregon. When my mother was speaking with Charlene, she was so patient and kind. My mother was having a hard time keeping all of the information straight after just being released from the hospital and when she called in later Charlene and Gabby bent over backwards to assist her in paying her storage bill. I give u-haul absolutely 0 stars!!! I booked a truck online and the site made me believe I had reserved a truck! Not so much I called to confirm and they had no truck for me! So now I'm a day away from moving left hanging! ABSOLUTELY DO NOT use u-haul save yourself and use ANYONE else!!!! read more

This store has a nice selection of boxes and supplies at a decent price. I walked into the store right at closing and they were nice enough to let me get what I needed. Cheaper boxes and tape than Fedex, thats for sure! read more

I recently rented the smallest box van Uhaul rents. When I reserved it online it said the price was $19.95 for an intown rental. I made the reservation and assumed that when I picked up the vehicle they would tell me what the drop charge to drop it 170 miles away would cost. The person behind the counter didn't mention anything. I picked up at noon on one day with plans to drop it 24 hours later in a town 170 miles away. When I dropped it off they told me my charges were $514. I asked how much for the drop charge since the intown rental was $19.95. They told me that Uhaul's computer didn't work that way and that there is no drop charge that the fee to rent, move from Eugene, Oregon to Seaside, Oregon is $514 and there is no other itemization....that's just the way it is. I will never rent from Uhaul again. I paid all the gas. I had it back in 24 hours. SO the charge is basically $500 for dropping in a neighboring town. I could have rented from Enterprise for $54 and no drop charge. DON'T RENT FROM UHAUL. WHAT LOOKS INEXPENSIVE IS REALLY REALLY EXPENSIVE. read more

Small space where outside is crowded with trucks and inside with boxes etcetera. The desk help was very chatty and there was a bit of a line but I know moving can be stressful so some customers were probably OK with that. The cargo van smelled like offgassing chemicals but was clean and easy to drive. After hours drop off (yay) and fast reconciliation of bill.Brandon, working the lot, was running around working hard on a hot day. Nice young man. read more

I've used this location several times and although they are usually very busy and there is a wait time, the service is pretty great. They are pretty flexible and won't charge for small fees like going over your miles a bit. Several employees are also bilingual so that's great! Eli the manager is my boy, he wants to look out for his customers. Make reservations ahead of time and schedule waiting time but leave your attitude at home. Good business. read more
