The staff here doesn't know the first thing about customer services, period! . They need to retrained in how to treat PAYING CUSTOMERS. I felt like my money was no good to them, I've rented from here before, but this last time I went I didn't even get to rent anything because the manager was on a mission to not allow me to rent a truck, first she would not take cash for my rent when they have taken it many times before, then she was asking for crazy amount of deposit which I could only pay with my cash app card she also denied it, I was gonna have my manager call and pay over the phone and she also denied that. Needless to say I wasted my time over an hour to be seen at the counter, and got no truck, take your business elsewhere, don't rent form here. Worst uhaul. They would not honor my reservation bc I have an out-of-state license. They didn't bother to tell me this when I made the reservation and entered my drivers license information online, but waited until I arrived to inform me it's a rule for uhaul to not rent to people with an out of state license. read more

Do not waste your time with this location!! The staff is unprofessional and will hang the phone up in your face when asking for a manager and claims that they are not on site! But the manager Andrew ironically called me back from the location after being hung up on by staff memeber. I've been having issues with their Ubox services and their location for almost a month. Long story short, it consists of Uhaul shipping my Ubox without my consent. Delays on delivery, as well as lack of communication to the customer on updates, and that brings me to now being charged without my consent. My frustration is beyond words and disappointment, and lack of concern with the company of U-Haul in itself. I've asked for corporate information yet I have not received any calls nor direction to solve this big issue with not having my belongings and being charged for something that was out of my control. Which U-Haul has messed up since the beginning. Do not trust this U-Haul location because they will not help assist you or provide that customer service care that they should when it comes to someone's belongings not being where they are supposed to be especially when you spend your hard earnings to get quality service. If I can give them zero stars I would. It is unfortunate that they only understand or will do something if you are being abrupt or aggressive; that's when someone wants to attempt to handle your issue that you're having due to their mistakes. I kept calling and was being placed on hold for over fifteen minutes and no one ever got back on the phone. They don't even let you speak they just say please hold and won't get back on the phone. I left an item in the truck and nobody can take their time to even get on the phone. So I made a reservation thru u-haul website, they send me the confirmation with a link to the address and I put the address on my gps and it sends me to a location 20 miles away from the actual place?!? I called customer service and she says I am in the right place, if I was I would've had the truck wouldn't I? No truck available. Drove an hour and half. Waste of time . Called to confirm an hour earlier. Then the shock when you get here.

I had a reserve truck and flatbed scheduled about two weeks prior, I got there and then they had these very long immense lines of people waiting only two employees to assist. I was roughly waiting in line with my reservation of my truck to hit the road for about a little over 30 minutes plus.by the time I got serviced the associate ended up charging my bill without adding the flatbed so when she noticed that it was incorrect, she made two transactions that almost locked out my credit card since it looks like two giant transaction since I am taking the truck out of state this is a big service charge on my card. when I end up dropping off the truck to the actual U-Haul location of Texas. I ended up letting them know that I was overcharged since I was supposed to get a discount for both the truck and a flatbed to be put together but it was not my fault that the associative charged them separately from her mistake. I ended up getting a credit back to my account which cleared up in about a week but other than that the truck was in good conditions and safe travels read more

Rented a moving van, only needed it for about 3 hours, figured my car would be ok in their lit up parking lot... picked up van at approximately 7:40pm and came back at 11pm to drop it off.... 5 cars had been broken into including mine.... Aperantly this wasnt the first and im sure not the last... a week prior multiple cars had been vandalized acording to there own staff... THEY DONT ADVICE YOU!! Its costing me hundreds now.... I moved from California to Florida and I used U-box. Really bad customer service: ambigous, confusing, imprecise and rude. Also very rude and impolite staff at West Park, Fl (One of the times that I went there, an employee didn't even talk to me and just point to the other employee next to him,.......two minutes later, first guy was sleeping with his head on the desk.......unbelievable) They charged me twice for the storage, I had to call them 5 times, write and call to general customer service and even go to the warehouse to get my refund. After a month the warehouse manager solved the situation sending an email to their customer service and I got my money back. But the worst thing is that my mattress, boxes, and other belongings get infested with bed bugs while in the U-Box that later was stored at U-Haul in West Park, FL. I don't really know if it was at the U-box or while in the warehouse. But it's a nightmare. I had never had bed bugs before, and the place that I moved in FL never had them neither. Just after getting my stuff back I started to suffer the bites. I didn't know what was going on until I discovered the bed bugs. I unloaded my stuff from U-box on July 26. Today, two months later, I'm still dealing with the bugs trying to exterminate them. It is very frustrating and also a huge waste of time, money and energy. I am really outraged and I want to receive a response from U-haul and also a compensation for the damage they have caused me. Will see and will update review if something positive happens. Besides that, I suggest you to fumigate and disinfect U-boxes and twarehouse at West Park Fl. I'm sure I'm not the only one customer who has had this problem with U-haul. read more

I rented a uhaul truck from this location and the service was terrible for the most part. When you send so much money at an establishment and they could careless what condition the give you the truck in. They state they cannot review the vechile because of covid even though I don't see how that prevents them from walking around the truck to inspect there vechile. When I arrived home I found the back of the truck wide open and i was I able to close it. I was unable to take it back because they were about to close and it was storming. I called the store to let them know of the issue i was having and the woman I spoke with seamed like she could careless about my issue but basically told me it was my fault that I didn't check the truck myself like seriously. I just paid over $300 to receive crappie service and get blamed for them not doing there job initially. God forbid something worse had happened and I got hurt what would they tell my family it was her fault for not checking the truck oh ok. Too many people/businesses are using covid as a reason for poor customer service and just lack of human decency. If I could give a negative zero I would. I had the worst experience ever. As everyone knows, moving is stressful and expensive. I made a reservation ahead of time to have a trailer hitch installed. They placed my card on file and scheduled me and sent me a confirmation text. I go in at my scheduled date and time, wait in line for half an hour, and I'm told that there is no one that is installing hitches today. When I asked what to do, they just handed me the general manager's card. I leave and call Uhaul customer service. They tell me to go back and get the parts that were reserved for me and then drive to Pompano for install. I go back to the location, pay for everything, and then they cannot find the part and ask me to help look through the garage for the part. This part should of been reserved for my install that was scheduled. I'm then sent to West Broward to purchase the trailer hitch and have to race over to Pompano to make my appointment for install. If there was not a technician present that day to do my install I should of received a call for a reschedule. Extremely unprofessional. When you have someone rely on you to make their move, you cannot be making mistakes like this. Unacceptable. read more

With all the inventory they have you would think they'd be a little nicer to their potential clientele. I parked, made my way inside, and the staff looked at me like I had burdened their appetites while they ate breakfast. I asked a few questions regarding my rental, because the truck I rented was 9' long and I had to transport 9' poles, so I inquired about the size of the inside and whether or not the poles would fit. The guy next to the woman attending me told me the inside was actually 8' and change, soooo that's a little misleading. As a side note, the poles fit perfectly, so either I mismeasured my poles or they mismeasured the length of the truck. Regardless, the guys outside were nice, made sure I double checked the mileage and gas, and were totally upfront about the final charge on my card. They earned those three measly stars. It's sad that the guys who are out in the 100 degree heat treat your customers better than those sitting inside. I probably won't return to this location. read more

They offered me a different truck and still charged me full price. Come to find out from corporate they had cancelled my original reservation and altered it to a different order number. You'd think in a natural disaster they'd be more helpful! Rude! To top is ALL off they STOLE my handicap sign!!!!! How does one sleep at night doing that!! Most violating feeling!!! If I could give U-Haul zero or negative stars, I would gladly do so...and I mean gladly. This has been one terrible experience after another. On November 13, 2015 I rented a 17-foot U-Haul from this location for what should have been a simple relocation. The folks at the counter were helpful and nice to interact with. No complaints about them. Fast forward to later the same night. While out on the road at approximately 11pm, the truck broke down. When I say broke down, I mean to say, it simply stopped functioning right in the middle of traffic - all the lights went off, I couldn't accelerate, I lost steering power...ITJUST STOPPED WORKING. Thank goodness I had enough momentum to get it to the side of the road or this could have been a story about the loss of a life. I was stranded on the side of the road, in the dark, in the middle of the night with the wind of fast moving 18-wheelers flying by to keep me company. I immediately got on the phone with U-Haul roadside assistance. I explained the situation to them, they indicated they would send someone out, and advised me to get to a safe location. Not sure where that would be with forest to my right side and high speed traffic to my left. I was told I would receive a text with the expected arrival time of the technician who would be coming to check out the truck. Received the text within moments of hanging up with them...tech was 90 minutes out (actually he turned out to be 120 minutes out). Yeah! As a sunny point in this dreary story, luckily I had two family members traveling several miles behind me so I called them and had them meet me on the side of the road. Thank God for miracles. So it took 2 hours for the tech/mechanic to arrive, only for him to tell me (surprise, surprise) he couldn't fix what was wrong and the truck would have to be towed to an authorized repair shop. I got on the phone with roadside assistance, again. After explaining my situation, again, and clarifying that sending the mechanic out was utterly pointless, they arranged the towing of the U-Haul. It was now shortly after one in the morning. Fast forward to 5:14am. Yes, that's what I said. FIVE IN THE MORNING, November 14. I waited in the dark, on the side of a highway, in the middle of nowhere Florida, with critters and crawly things, and funky sounding stuff in the forest to my right until 5:14am for the tow truck to arrive. God bless Hal, the tow truck driver, for his efficiency in getting the truck hooked-up and ready for transport. He has clearly been doing his job for a while. I appreciate you Hal! Anyhow, before Hal took off, I confirmed the location where the U-Haul and my belongings were going - did I mention they had given him the wrong location to where I was? Oh, and I found out they had given him the wrong location of the mechanic shop, too. He would have been headed somewhere south of me even though they gave ME a location somewhere to the north. Hmmm? Interesting tidbit, did you know U-Haul still holds you, the renter, financially responsible for THEIR truck when it breaks down and has to be taken to THEIR authorized repair shop? Was shocked to be the recipient of that little nugget. So I gathered my family members (who were gracious enough to wait with me) and started towards the proposed destination. I promise you, this next part is completely factual. Several miles into the journey towards the mechanic's shop, I received a call from Hal (remember the tow truck driver?). Hal had 2, not one, but TWO tires blow out on the tow truck. No joke. Thank God he was ok, the whole thing could have rolled over and caused a fatality. I got off the highway and circled back to Hal's location to find, indeed, a severely leaning tow truck with a U-Haul on the flatbed on the side of the road. It was now approximately 7:00am. I just threw my hands in the air and called customer service/roadside assistance again. What else was there to do? The issues I had with the U-Haul created a tremendous downward spiral for me. I had several critical and time sensitive deadlines that I missed because of the slow and slack processes they use. While I cannot fault them for something like a tire blow out, I certainly feel like a resolution could have been more timely. Perhaps I could have salvaged some of the troubles their faulty equipment caused. After all was said and done, at the suggestion of customer care, a call was put in to the manager of the West Park/Miramar location where I rented the truck from. Let me save you the headache of dealing with Jeff Davis. If ever the dictionary used photos to define unprofessional, rude, and uncouth his would be it for each. This individual is the epitome of absolute power corrupting absolutely. Needless to say, he was of no help. I have reached out to regional & corporate for help. It's now Nov 30, haven't gotten resolution - only ANOTHER bill. Shame on you U-Haul. Shame on you! read more

When we got the there, the owner Jeff stated changes had been made to the roads and their address has not been updated in over a year. He even made an interesting comment that even the locals have a hard time finding this place. Really !? What really put the icing on the cake, was when they had the nerve to try and charge us for the gasoline we had spent trying to find this stupid place. He took the time to listen to my problem and they are going to work with me to take care of my issue desicribed in a previous post....this makes me happy, happy, happy. One-way rental that started with poor service. Ended with issues due to their own failure to follow their own internal rules (became know to us returning the truck over 650 miles away. The truck was provided with gas less than full and a notation signature on the contract. Apparently we should have been provided a new contact. On arrival to the Chamblee, GA location (with the gas returned to the location it was when received) we were told the system showed full and there would have to be an additional charge. So in addition to enduring the onsite quote not matching what was discussed when reservation made via phone and working with the disgruntled cashier to resolve and other staff not interested in assisting customers this location was the gift that kept giving creating issues even at the return location with what they failed to complete. Thankfully - other than the incompetence of the company employees the rest of the journey occurred safely and without incident. read more

General manager Jeffery Davis at Hollywood branch location has an extremely bad attitude. Was very unprofessional and argumentative when I asked him about my $50 customer guarantee due to not having my reserved vehicle upon arrival. Despite his awful attitude in explaining the terms and conditions he compensated with another vehicle and I was ok with that. Upon my return I found that my charges were very high and unreasonable as I have rented before and had never had such charges. he proceeded to argue. I do not have a problem with the terms and conditions, I don't have a problem accepting my charges once they have been explained in a "civilized"manner however this manager was extremely rude and unprofessional. He argued, raised his voice and told me I couldn't do anything about it because "he's the boss" when I told him I was filing a complaint he laughed shrugged his shoulder continued to yell and argue with a smirk and degrading laugh handed me a paper with his name on it as in "go ahead and try " I am a CEO of a company and would never tolerate such behavior, much less in a setting that allows full representation of the company. His staff has better customer service skills than he does. I'm pretty sure he worked his way up to management because he certainly does not seem to have the proper hospitality and management training to be in such position. read more

I was in Florida for a few days packing up my parents' belongings and needed specific boxes for paintings, dishes, etc. The folks at the Hallendale U-Haul were extremely helpful, showed me what I needed in order to make the packing go smoothly and safely, and even showed me options that would cost less than what I was going to buy. They were friendly, helpful, and I would highly recommend using them for any packing or moving needs. read more

Bad experience at this place. I gave this business a second chance and they blew it. First, I booked for a hitch installation. My reservation was confirmed by phone for Sunday at 9 am. When I arrived at 2033 s st road 7 the cashier stated that they don't provide this service on Sunday's. Waste of time. The second chance was when I booked an appointment with Judith and she told me to expect a call from the service staff to confirm my appointment. No one ever called to confirm. I needed service to install wires in my car that would provide electricity to the trailer. They threw the wires in the back of the car instead of installing them under the car. The staff declared that they were unable to open a hole, in my car, to make the wire with the connector for the trailer go through. But in all actuality they did open a hole for a wire to go through, to reach the battery of my car. I called the main customer service line and they are still working on the claim #256916086, contract#84720019. The place offered to refund $45 out of $153 removing all the wires back from my car. One of the worst experiences I have ever had with a company. Made reservations 9 days prior only to not have a reservation the day we had to move. Called customer service got redirected 10 times and a reservation made to this location, besides being double booked the Manager Jeffrey had promised a $50 credit & 40% off for he trouble due to the experience , we needed up last minute getting the truck as someone just returned it so after being delayed almost 4 hours from our original move time and having lost 4 hours we paid movers we went to returned the truck only to find that Jeffrey won't honor the 40% off miles now because he stated we "got the truck we ordered" which must have been a detail he left out originally as her changed his mind and claimed "double dipping" so after a horrible experience and getting something going our way we get set back again with a lying manager . Not to mention because it was late they charged us an extra day. Worst customer service and location ever. You will get robbed if you deal with them. Dishonest and awful .
