we had a perfect experience choosing this location as a landing spot for our three pods. we kept them here for a month with no issue, then hired the great guys from don's moving in albany to come and load the contents into a truck. the people who work at this facility were always available when we called with questions, and when the movers unloaded the pods, everything was dry and undisturbed. even though we don't live anywhere near this location, it was definitely the best choice for us. i'm so glad to have found them! read more

U-Pack was an excellent way for us to move. The flexibility provided ensures that your load will fit and while we used a few more feet than was originally estimated, the cost for the additional space was very reasonable. Also, our household goods arrived in excellent condition without evidence of shifting, which to me indicates that the driver took great care in hauling the load. On both ends, the drivers also worked to position the trailer in the most advantageous spot for loading and unloading. The three days to load and unload are more than ample if you are organized ahead of time in your planned packing and unpacking. As a final note, everyone I spoke with in making the reservation and throughout the move was professional, personable, and helpful. we called U-Pack in August to schedule a trailer drop-off and a move from Albany, NY to Colorado Springs, CO. they dropped off the trailer on the scheduled date and picked it up 3 days and drove it 2,000 mi. arriving in 9 days. we called them to drop the trailer off, we unloaded trailer In 1 day and called them and they picked it up the next day. This is very good operation to move by. I would hire them again. Their truck drivers were helpful and explained to us things we needed to know. read more

We moved from NY to SC and it was a good experience. The people we dealt with were very friendly and fulfilled our needs in a professional manor. We had an issue when it came to delivering our two trailers. They did give us a range of dates that we could expect our trailers to arrive, which was fine. I received an email that stated our trailers would be delivered on Saturday, but I wanted to make sure so I called the distribution center which stated that "no they were not going to be there on Saturday", but expect them on the following Monday. Now I had to hire a forklift at $300 a day and a couple of workers (which I paid) to help unload. Monday came and no trailers, so I called the distribution center again. I was told they would be there Tuesday. When they didn't arrive by noon I called again, and I was told that they would definitely be there Wednesday morning. By 11am on Wednesday I called again and at this point I was told that they would be there around 3ish. It gets dark at 5 so now I have possibly 2 hours to unload and I now have paid 5 days of a forklift and 3 days of help. I called U-Pack directly and after explaining my situation I was given some money back. All in all I was satisfied with everything, except being basically lied to as to when my trailers would be delivered. read more

Way easier than driving a truck or pulling a trailer. Note that the cubes are small, so verify your dimensions. They were perfect on timing, at both ends of the transport. My only complaint is that the cube was not completely waterproof and my mattress ending up getting wet. Make sure whatever you put near the door won't get ruined. This company was contracted to deliver an oversized, large item I ordered through Amazon. Scheduling the delivery was easy enough and the rep (Teresa) was nice. However, she clearly is lacking in her ability to communicate how the delivery process works for her company. I agreed to a date for a delivery and under what conditions the driver could leave the item AT my house. There was no mention of any restrictions such that the conditions I agreed to could not be met. On the day of delivery, there was no confirmation call to see that I was at home and could accept delivery. Instead, the driver dumped my item near the end of my 600 ft driveway where anyone can simply take the item. The item is too large and heavy for me to carry. When I called to complain, I spoke to Teresa, and was met with "Oh, well the driver drives a tractor trailer and can't pull into driveways" and that "delivery is curbside only." NONE of this information was provided to me when I scheduled delivery or I would have made arrangements so that the item was not left out where the public can simply take it. When I asked if they would be buying me a new item if it was stolen as a result of where the driver left it, I was basically laughed at. I would think twice about using this company for delivering oversized and heavy items. The drivers need some retraining regarding how to call to verify that a customer is home and Teresa needs to learn how to provide customers with pertinent information regarding how their delivery process works. As far as I am concerned Teresa is incompetent at best and I am not impressed. I do hope my experience is an anomaly, rather than the norm for this company. Based on my conversation with Teresa, I'd guess it's par for the course. read more

Had a really smooth move this time! Though apparently due to an error with two crates getting the same order number, my crate ended up in Tampa and not Orlando. Whoops. But they called me before I even had a chance to find out and promptly shipped it across the state overnight. I appreciate how quickly the issue was resolved given the circumstances. The option to leave my crate in storage and finish the move when I have a permanent home again made these guys a no brainer. read more

We moved from NY to GA and this was not a good experience. We will not do business with upack again. They did not disclose certain information nor did they offer us expedited shipping. We requested a four business day move. They scheduled delivery for 7 business days and didn't show up. No one called us to inform us there was a delay. Also, The cubes were not a described. We were told 1-1 1/2 room wld fit into 1 cube. We rented two for a 1 bedroom apt and had to leave behind our couch, four kitchen chairs and our coffee table. Duped! We feel duped! They gave us a fifty dollar credit off a two thousand dollar bill. Never again. read more

I used one ReloCube to move from CA, and it was great. When I called to have the cube delivered they got on it and I got it the next day. Similarly, when I had called for the empty cube to be picked up, they came a day after. The driver was very professional and friendly, and all of my stuff arrived as I had packed it, not a single glass or dish had been broken. read more

With a moving company like this, it allows you to control the packing and unpacking on both ends of the journey. We had great movers to pack up the trailer, so everything arrived in one piece. The ABF truck arrived early at our destination, but they waived the extra storage fee for the wait days since we had arranged for movers at the end of the time window. We decided to use U-Pack instead of transporting our furniture by rental truck and driving it ourselves. We moved from SW Florida to Albany, NY a few weeks ago. From our first contact with U-Pack in Bradenton, Fl to our destination point, a storage unit in Delmar, NY our move was excellent. From my first conversation to make the arrangements with the Florida agents, all my questions were answered correctly and very professionally. We were given step by step instructions along with complete and understandable explanations for the entire trip. The gentleman who delivered the pods was very friendly and arrived on time for delivery of the pods. Once the packing was complete, I called and within 24 hours the packed pods were picked up and removed for delivery. I was told that I could track my delivery for the next few days until delivery to NY. This was done easily and efficiently. Once the pods arrived in NY, we were notified immediately.. We went to the storage area and the delivery truck was already there waiting for us to show the driver where to place the pods so that we could begin unpacking. The driver was polite & hardworking and took pains to bring the pods as close to the unit as possible. Once the doors were opened, everything was just as we had packed it 5 days & 1300 miles earlier. Nothing had moved and most importantly, nothing was chipped, cracked or broken ! Incidentally, we were unsure if we needed 2 or 3 pods for our move. They delivered 3 and told us that if we didn't need the 3rd one, we would not be charged for delivering it...we only used 2 and they kept their word and we did not have to pay for the third one. From beginning to end, this move was handled with perfection, honesty and professionalism & the price was definitely well worth it. I moved from Western Massachusetts to Laguna Beach, California this past April 2016. I have never used a Relo Container to move before. Last time I moved was with ABF and rented 25' on a truck. That was much more expensive then a Relo Container for me this time. I compared them to Pack Rat and POD's. U-Pack had the best price and the most Service Facilities. The Reservation Process/People and the Service Facilities at both ends of the move were prompt and as promised. No "gotcha fees". I needed to use their storage facility an extra month and they only charge $105/mo! This was nice as if you have any trouble finding a place to stay or catch a hiccup in your moving plans you have peace of mind. I shipped just one 8' Relo Cube. I shipped a Queen bedroom Set with two dressers and a night stand. Living Room set with 8' sofa, 6' Loveseat, and large recliner chair. I also sent a entertainment center for a 55" TV, coffee table, and two end tables and it all fit barely! You have to plan well! I had not a single item broken or damaged in my move. I packed well bought a bunch of moving pads, roll of shrink wrap, 2" tape, and "ratcheting straps" (the inside of the Relo Cube lets you ratchet your stuff to the walls) from Harbor Freight for cheap and stuffed that relo cube so nothing would move! Best way to "visualize" if your stuff will make it into a cube is get the actual inside dimensions from their website and mask the area off on your patio. Take some measurements of your furniture and see if it will fit together! I will use them again (if I need to move again) as it was nice to not have to worry about this part of the relo to Cali....all went silky smooth! read more
