I had a pedicure and gel builder with tips done. I have been coming here for a few months just doing pedicures. I have a few parties coming up so i decides to do my hands too. First the pedicure are great regardless of which one you do. I usually have the gentleman May doing my pedicures and they last for a month without chipping or peeling off. I go in all intact other than growth for a fresh pedicure. Now this is the first time I have had my hands done here. Tee did an amazing job! I showed her a video of these sparkling nails that I like. The manicure requested was not received. My daughter specifically asked for a cats eye manicure and they used the polish but not the magnet to actually give it the look and asked for. The only option was to have it completely removed and done over when we didn't have the time to let them redo it and he said he was going to have to charge extra to fix his mistake. Furthermore, my pedicure was seriously lacking. I have a bruise on my toe nail from a broken toe and instead of using white polish to cover it first, they just painted my toes using a sheer polish and let the bruise show through. It looks dumb. Also, it took her so long to do my shellac manicure that my daughter had a full set put on and a shellac manicure and was done and waiting for me for 15 minutes. I had lived nearby for most of my life and never stopped in til last month - wish I had gone sooner! I had a nail emergency last month and needed to be seen ASAP before a trip the next day, so I called ahead and was seen immediately when I arrived. The staff were SO friendly, like in a way where they treat you like one of their actual friends. Which I honestly prefer over the overly peppy customer service type of friendly. I never got the name of the gentleman who did my full set but he did a phenomenal job! The owner Julie yells at handicap customers. She asked the handicap lady to leave when she was in the foot soaker. Absolutely disrespectful to customers and employees. This place lost me as a customer today. I've been here many times and it's always been ok, but apparently the loss of some talented staff has affected the quality of this place. My friend and I arrived around 4:30 for pedicures. They were busy, but we didn't mind waiting a bit. When the clock was closing in on 5:00, we asked if we could at least start soaking our feet. They told us to have a seat and turned on the water for us....COLD water. They adjusted the water after we asked and as we soaked, I noticed used clippers with the other tools at the station for my chair. When the nail tech came over to start on my nails (it was now 5:30), my friend and I told her I wanted sanitized tools. She seemed surprised or confused, but put the tools in the sanitizer and thanked us for telling her. Um...nobody should tell you they want sanitized tools used on them. That's just good practice, not to mention it's probably some health department rule. My nail tech was distracted by another customer (they kept accepting customers even though they were already slammed), leaving me in the chair, where I sat for another hour until another tech came over to start on my toenails. I told her to be gentle because my skin and feet were sore from chemotherapy, plus I had jammed my baby toe on a dresser the day before. After the first "OUCH, my toe is sore," you'd think she'd remember, but no. She put three coats of color on my nails, then got up and walked away without saying anything. I wondered aloud if I was finished, as I didn't get a topcoat. She finally walked past me and when asked if I was finished, she chattered with her coworker about me in Korean, then told me she was waiting for the color to dry. Ok, fine. She came back later to put my topcoat on, then left to tend to another customer without giving me my slippers. Since it was nearing 7:00 and I'd been there since 4:30, I said I had to leave. She got up, took some slippers out of the drawer, yanked the toe separators off, and shoved the slippers on my foot and muttered my total. She never once apologized for the wait. Thank God I didn't get a manicure, I'd probably still be there. My friend did and she was still there when I left. Hope she didn't have to spend the night. I hear there's a really good place on Plymouth and Farmington with fantastic reviews. I'll be going there next. read more

Ok, I REALLY wanted to like this place for several reasons - 1. Closest nail place to my house 2. Inexpensive pedicures 3. Recent reviews were good I went at about 9:40am and there was only one person in there. The door says they open at 10am, but Yelp says 9:30am...so? Nevertheless, I was seated right away and my pedicure began. The guy was quiet, and seemed to be thorough, but I'll talk about that in a minute. I picked a bright OPI color (most of their polishes looked old and dated). I didn't have much of a summer selection in light/bright colors. The bottle seemed to have been diluted at some point because when I shook it, it sounded like water in the bottle. Maybe that should've been a sign. The pedicure was fast (I was done before the woman who arrived before me had her nails painted)! He focused on the rough skin and paid attention to my nails and cuticles. I thought for sure I'd have super soft feet when I left. I got two coats of polish and a base and top coat of clear. The nail drying station seemed to be no more than a 40W bulb strapped under a table. It wasn't UV and there was no fan. When the other woman finished and left before my guy even came back to check on me, I spoke up. He came over, took my credit card and cashed me out. Now I've been to several nail places and they all allow tipping on a card. I never carry cash, and today it was embarrassing to find out you can't tip on the card?! As soon as I drove my 1min. home, I looked closely at my nails in the sun. They look awful! They are streaky, and look worse than what I could've done. The color is not even, and worst of all - my feet aren't smooth! I gave 2 stars only because I can't be mean and only give 1. They did a service, but it was not good. Side note: I am pretty sure nothing about the decor has been updated since I went there in high school over 15 years ago! read more

If I could give a "0" I would in a heartbeat- I had them done yesterday afternoon and left there as I had to rush to another apt- and my nails were awful! I called the second I left complaining and they told me I could come back in tomorrow and get them fixed. I went back in the following day and the manager as she claimed to be was awful. She was screaming at me the entire time, made a huge scene , as I was complaining about my nails and explaining that they looked terrible and what I wanted them to look like.. she continued being loud and screaming at me the entire time and making a scene and wouldn't redo them she said she would only fix what I already had which were way too short .. i finally settled for her to just do it her way and decided I'm just never going to go back after that... she was awful the entire time and called my a liar and other names making scenes in front of people - she took my nail polish off and started to file and reshape my acrylic nails and finished one hand.. but It looked awful so I asked her can we please just fix them with a new set to be my normal nail size I usually get which the guy had ruined .. and she refused unless I paid for a full set. I wasted about 2 full hours there trying to get her to fix what she started and she just screamed at me making scenes the entire time. She told me I could sue her which I got on video of her saying as well as her saying even though I already paid that she refused to do my nails and fix them. So I was forced to leave there with my nails with two different nail shapes on each hand, no nail polish.. only residues of polish along the edges. They look terrible!! So I now will be forced to go to ANOTHER salon to pay full price to get these fixed and I WILL be suing them for stealing my $ and wasting my time and humiliating me and treating me like crap as a paying customer. Worst customer service and nail salon EVERn and that wasn't the first time we have had problems with them I don't know why I have continued to go back there have been several times I have left there on happy - So my suggestion is our new here do not go find another salon read more

The owner is awful! She is rude and disrespectful. I only go in to get my eyebrows done. And she did a terrible job doing! There was only one person who I found there that did a good job and she no longer works there. She (the owner) asked who does my nails and I told her.Then she asked how much I pay. I told her $15.00 for shellac. She got mad and was questioning what they do because she is priced double for the same nail services she then asked yea but how much do you pay in gas? When he was doing my nails he messed up on them there were lots of bubbles and the nail polish was very blotchy. One of my nails got messed up while they were drying all they did was put an extra layer of top coat on it but it came out worse than it was before. The nail polish selection was bad and out-dated I got a white but it was an off shade of white it was also it was the only white-ish color they had after they finished and I looked in the sun my nails looked horrible. USA Nails is one of the cleanest salons and the friendliest in the Livonia area. I am always very pleased when I leave the salon. In the 12 years that I've been going there (every 3 weeks throughout the year), I have had no issues and primarily, no infections. I went to another salon a few times because it was closer to my home, but was not satisfied with the outcome and ended up back at USA Nails. Honestly, if I could give this place negative stars I would. I don't ever review any places but this place is so horrible that I had to! Please stay far far away from this place! I went there a few months ago because it was on my way home and the second day my shellac peeled off!! That has never happened to me! So I went back and she fixed it, no problem. Then I went again last week and could tell from the way the guy did my shellac that it would peel. I told him and he kept saying it wouldn't. Of course, the same night, they all peel! I go back the next day and the lady gets so angry, starts talking to her employees in their language, which I could tell was about me, then proceeds to tell me that MY NAILS are the problem and accused me of wanting a free color change!! Ummm, I picked the same exact color so how does that make sense! Then she sits and angrily files my nails and the skin around, it was painful. I told her to just forget it and left. Went to my normal place and it's been a week and my nails look fresh! Hate it here, the attitude is horrible, the service is horrible, they charge too much and they blame their mistakes on you!
