Instead of showing appreciation they acted like I was causing them more work. The permit department is another bad story. In my experience with them, the employee I dealt with whined and complained about the work I was causing her. When I went to the building department with completed paperwork in hand to pay my fees on a very simple installation, I was told that they don't take walk-ins after 1230 pm. Yet, the lobby was empty and 2 receptionist were sitting on their tails doing nothing. Based on my experiences with the county offices, I conclude that the hiring and department managers have low standards and expectations. Somebody needs to train these people in customer service. IMO, the Board of Supervisors needs to fire all of them and start over.

Why the Rocklin Area Chamber of Commerce handed my name, and contact information to various banks, car dealers, etc, is a complete mystery. I was completely devastated when I started receiving so many solicitations. Such a violation of my privacy was completely uncalled for. I was forced to change my mobile phone number, and turn off the ringer on my desk line. Both Verifone, and the Rocklin Area Chamber of commerce refuse to make good on the issue, or even to acknowledge it. As a result, I quit Verfone after 23 years of employment. I want the name of the persons who handed over my information. I made a formal complaint to the Rocklin Chamber of Commerce. I resigned from Verifone because they refused to hand over the name of the responsible party.

Filed a complaint against an incredibly unhelpful and rude officer (Kirk Rekers) and heard…read morecrickets. Not even a simple apology that would've gone a long way. Talked to the sergeant in person the day after and received platitudes. Police chief didn't even want to talk, just sat behind the window with his hands folded behind his back without a care in the world. I didn't expect much regardless, it's a police station after all, they protect their own. I've seen it first hand many times. Wheatland Police department is yet another one of those cases, and I really wanted this to be the time that I encountered a friendly, cordial police officer when I called one for help. It's likely even worse since it's a small town and there's probably little in the way of accountability.
