Dams are structures built to primarily obstruct the flow of water usually built across a stream or river constructed by man or beavers, yes there are many type of dams and in some cases provide a life-sustaining resource to people although some seem to obstruct the life of some - it's been rumored that salmon hate dams as do those that work to promote to protect the swimming right of fish. I guess one would have to weigh the pros and cons to pick a side being millions of each species are affected since humans eat fish the fish usually lose. Dams are an extremely important part of this nation's infrastructure--equal in importance to bridges, roads, airports, and other major elements of the infrastructure. They can serve several functions at once, including water supply for domestic, agricultural, industrial, and community use; flood control; recreation; and clean, renewable energy through hydropower. It's nice to know this dam has a revenue stream beside my five buck so the return on the investment is shortened. I came here at the right time on the right day - the generating stations were operating so the lower river was filled and the water was racing to its next destination so probably not the best time to float on a tube or kayak. I was somewhat surprised or maybe amused to see signage on the bank of this river that's designates the shoreline as a life-preserver zone, thankfully the government is providing this knowledge or we might have some people from the gene-pool wondering in to this massive deadly volume of rapidly flowing water, it seems the wildlife in the area understands the danger without barriers or communications. I wish I could of gotten closer to the structure so I could see the water boil from beneath the discharge of the generators but I was happy to see they do have a walk bridge a little downstream of the dam that allows you to cross over and experience the power of the release up close without a life preserver and only requires a little common sense sometimes a "danger sign" isn't needed for the obvious threat. I'm a fan of dams and understand I'm screwed if the dam burst during my visit even though I am parked in a designated paved parking lot far below the water level on the other side of this massive structure even though there is no signage inform me of this fact...

In fact last time, I was there very recently, someone named Jasmine, apparently saw me bumbling around with one of those self print stickers and my package and personally adhered it, and made sure that my package was taped sufficiently and mailed it! I mean, this is the kind of thing people are looking for in any employee: anticipating issues and handling them. And this is exactly the kind of service I can expect at this post office. Now do I wish that they still had dropbox outside so I didn't have to go in? Yes. But that is not a branch decision or certainly not by the branch employees.

This theater is a gem in the City of Buford. They offer awesome productions, convenient day time…read morehours and weekends for those who do not want to drive at night. The venue is relatively new, handicap accessible. Ample free parking. They have a wonderful atrium with comfortable and abundant seating you can use while waiting for the rest of your group. It also contains a small but interesting museum about the City of Buford which is free but does accept donations. The theater has comfortable seats and there are no obstructions! All seats have a great view of the stage area. This is a great place for meetup groups, Red Hat Society events, or just plain couples or singles going out. The staff are extremely friendly. Wine and Beer are sold before the shows and during intermission. Check out their website for upcoming productions. I have not been disappointed.

Thankfully the tag office isn't nearly as big a pain as renewing the driver's license which wants things like passport and social security card. It was great! I was in and out in under ten minutes!! Whoo hoo! I highly recommended coming here for something easy like your tag. By the way it's $20 for renewal.

They quickly got to the root of my problem, solved it, and even laughed at my corny joke. A smile will go a long way if you let it.

These days there are usually only about 2 windows open and often long lines that takes easily 30…read moreminutes to wait in. Many times I've seen people stand at the passport desk for long periods, as well, since the window is not manned well. The workers are courteous and helpful. However there is one worker who wears their mask under their nose. I have not had a chance to talk to this person to request that they wear their mask properly, but it is uncomfortable to see in such a tight space, despite the plastic barrier. The markers on the floor are not quite 6 ft apart either. In such a small air conditioned space, this poses significant risks. There are often a few people who will walk in without masks, and a few more who ignore the 6ft rule. But can't blame the business for ignorant customers.
