There's a machine when you get in that you want to use to get a ticket printed and assigned. It's a quick process to get that. The ticket has a number and that's the number that will be prompted for you when it's time to go up to an employee window. The facility is also clean.

I was involved in a hit and run and had to wait for an officer to come and take my testimony so a report could be written and you can claim against the person that hit you (their insurance). This was all made possible because I quickly jumped out and took his license plate. By the way, the office I was talking to on 911 also told me that had I left, I also could be charge with leaving the scene of an accident. I was very impressed with the quick response of the officer that showed up to take the report to the investigating officer that is responsible for find the guy that hit me. The only negative besides being hidden behind several twists and turns, was that I found was the computer system seems to be down frequently. It may be because of the new location. I haven't given up, and I hope to get my police report soon!

I had an awful experience today in the post office. My mail was delayed and because I had informed…read moredelivery, there was a letter from the Department of Treasury. I was waiting for 5 days and decided to come to talk to the supervisor. Also, I wanted finally complain about other people's mail delivered for some reason in my mailbox, I kind tried to say that it could be a problem that my mail was delivered somewhere else. She listened and in a moment came a guy, young athletic. He never introduced himself, started to tell me that I should not talk to him about this issue, rudely interrupted me a several times. I asked for his name and why he does not wear a tag or badge, he said he is going to call police. I think he heard my accent and decided to get rid of a Karen who came to complain. Well, I left and I filed a complaint..not about my missing mail but just attitude. I just wonder is it a new normal to yell and treat someone with police when someone came and ask to do his/her job. Still confused about what happened, it feels surreal, go to ask for mail and suddenly be arrested by police because a tall athletic guy got scared of an Ukrainian girl. Also, wonder if I were a man or not Ukrainian would it still happen?

Multiple times I have dropped a package off inside of this post office. The prepaid label was never scanned. Recepient never received the package. Once it is in the back and doesn't get scanned you have no recourse other than filing an insurance claim which only works if the item has been scanned by the PO. DO NOT trust them to scan your packages. Unfortunately you need to scan every package at the kiosk which sucks if you have a lot. Even when I've had a receipt there have been instances of my packages disappearing! I believe this post office has a theft problem.

An officer from the SSPD came and checked her ID, her tag, and the damage to her car. But when trying to download her report, she noticed that her 911 call was connected to another crash report that did not have her name on it. After talking with an extremely rude civilian working for the records department of the SSPD, we were transferred to dispatch and given the necessary information to contact the responding officer to request a police report that included her name - but he refused to provide one. Is that even legal? The police department has clear evidence of her 911 call but refuses to write a report on the follow-up. I hope this situation gets fixed soon since we need the report for our insurance.

I walk out to my car at my boyfriend's condo complex and...oh wow someone has decided to completely destroy half of the left side of my car with their own. First bonus: you want to call the cops for anything while in Sandy Springs? Just dial 911. It feels weird to be like "no actually it's not an emergency but I did call you earlier!" ...I did in fact call the regular non-emergency number and was told I had to dial 911. Fine. So..first time. Within 10 minutes of giving all sorts of info to the operator, an officer came. He was incredibly nice, and even hung around for a good 20 minutes to do his paperwork to see if this lady would return, since she didn't leave a note it is considered a hit and run. Finally a good 8 1/2 hours later, she does in fact return..and badly park in the same parking space. Within 30 minutes I had checked out the car, called back, talked to an officer, and was back inside all warm, and finally relaxed since all the next steps have been thoroughly explained to me. Actually, second officer, Officer Hancock, explained things even more thoroughly and he was pretty amusing. He also really likes to tell it how it is so.. watch out drunks (as if that's surprising if you've ever driven down Roswell Road on a weekend night). Pretty sure the lady parked there is not a drunk but man did he have a mini rant on that bit. But yeah...that explaining thing makes a world of difference, TAKE NOTE APD.
