I had left my freezer drawer open yesterday and upon realized, shut it and put a probe thermometer to watch the temp. It never got back down to 0F and was making an awful noise. I called around 8:30am and they had someone here by 11am. And they come to Detroit which is nice because there are plenty of businesses that won't. They required cash which is fine, luckily I had time to run to the ATM with how quickly the tech showed up! He said there was ice on the fan and the thermostat was probably toast so he cleaned that out and replaced the part and was gone in less than 30 minutes. Freezer dropping temp now very fast. It's a good repair person that is there fast, gets it done quick, for a good price, and though I hope to not need them again, they will be my first call for any future needs.

First the Stepher had mentioned that the next available to send out a technician would be next week Tuesday. I told her I would prefer to do a Friday, since it's my only day I can work from home. She first mentioned that would be difficult. Then she said they wouldn't schedule a visit for a Friday. They only send out technicians for stacked units on Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday. Why not just spit it out that you don't want to service a stacked unit and stop beating around the bush? Ridiculous place. I was willing to put up with their 5 hour window for a day as it was, but forcing me to take a day off for them to come when it's only convenient for them is not good for me. Decided to lot move forward with them, since they don't seem consumer focused much.

I was in earlier today to pick up a replacement filter for my bialetti and interacted with 1…read moreemployee. i'm not sure if this person is the store owner or a manager of some kind, but they may have been the rudest retail employee i've ever met. i try to buy local whenever possible. avoiding the use of amazon helps local businesses and reduces the waste from packages. but from the moment i stepped into the store i was met with coldness and an attitude i found off putting. i don't expect special treatment or even a "hi" if someone is busy, but this particular employee, who i believe is the owner, made me feel unwelcome and unwanted-- he didn't offer any help, advice, or insight, and held a bitter attitude the entire time. my family and i were the only people in the store about a half hour before closing-- now i understand why the store wasn't busy. their prices are nothing special-- very comparable to other local stores (and amazon). there are minimal products with really random things in excess. better coffee, products, and customer service can be found elsewhere. i will not be back.

They used to be great. I loved their integrity and recommended them widely. I've bought multiple…read moreappliances from them. But now, I hate to say it -- but increasingly, they treat loyal customers like crap. They promise to call back with information, and NEVER do. Make appointments they don't keep, and don't call. --I get it when a business is understaffed with good techs -- but CALL and let the customer, who is waiting and counting on them, to let them know what's up. Respond. I bought my most recent primary refrigerator from them about a year ago in the $500 range. I started calling almost three weeks ago that the temp was in the 60's and I was using the freezer section as a fridge. After multiple calls and messages, they didn't show up until four days ago and said compressor was bad and it wasn't worth fixing -- but they'd take care of me. And then, they didn't get back to me about the options. When I reached them two days ago they said they'd give me another one for ~$550. --Hmm. So, despite that the one I bought should have lasted more than a year -- that's the best they can do for me for a replacement? After making me wait for over two weeks for them to even look at it. And of course, they've promised to call me back 2 x's since this last conversation --and haven't. I even told them that I want to buy a washer and dryer from them over the next month. -- Doesn't make any difference in their interest in helping me out. --I might as well start buying new sale or scratch & dent appliances instead of being treated like this.
