I came in trying to upgrade to a larger vehicle for business purposes, and instead of being helped professionally, I felt completely overlooked and discriminated against. While I was standing there waiting for assistance, another customer was immediately offered a larger vehicle with no issue. Meanwhile, I was repeatedly offered dirty vehicles that were too small for what I requested and not even close to what I reserved. The manager, Jacob, was extremely rude, dismissive, and lacked basic customer service skills. Before even arriving, I waited on hold for over 25 minutes just trying to get help. When I finally showed up in person, I was ignored while employees helped other customers that came in after me. What made the situation worse was that I pointed out another vehicle that was clearly available, and Jacob told me it "wasn't available" -- only to turn around and give that exact type of vehicle to someone else shortly after. Completely unprofessional and very frustrating, especially as a loyal customer who has consistently used Enterprise for years. I understand locations get busy, but professionalism, communication, and treating customers fairly should still matter. This experience honestly made me reconsider continuing to do business with this location.

    Better customer service and clean the vehicles between customers. Train the employees better.read more

I want told that I needed to set up a possible toll account to travel across some of the most popular bridges SF Bay Bridge for one. Then my car was towed, something that was my fault. But afterwards I was told by the tow yard to call Hertz where i got the car and get a release sent to them. When I called the pick up location for help I spoke with and was refused to be sent anything and was told no matter who was going to get the vehicle myself that the vehicle had to stay there for at least 2 days until they decide to get it. It did sound like they knew who I was since I was just there and knowing I was visiting from Houston offered no kind of help to obtain vehicle. I then I had to call the 800 number since all of a sudden the location closed right after speaking with them which leads me to believe they only refused to help since they were about to close. Although the process took almost 2 hours it was successful. Then on 6/5/2026 the car was vandalized and broken into. After filing a report with Hertz I was told since I'm the authorized driver I could go the only open location on Sunday. After wanting to confirm that with the location they never answered the phone for over 3hrs so I was forced to go and take a chance at exchanging the vehicle. Once there the reps at the counter treated me as if they where paying for the rental. I blamed for not doing the right things with the towing, no apologies or empathy after all I experienced and the only thing they could come up with as any type of compensation was an upgrade but wanted me to be okay with that since I still had 3 days left on rental. At that point I just felt even more embarrassed now at the counter with a line full of waiting renters as the manager tried to shame me. Oh and just to be clear when I got there I attempted to call to see if they where answering calls. Nobody answered and there was no line you could see the light on the phone blinking but no one ever answered. So at that moment I decided to just end the entire rental. This has been the worst experience ever! I will be canceling my hertz membership and will never ever use this company. Just like now I'm on hold with the local office to get names to add to this report and a Alex answered asked me to hold immediately only to be placed on hold for over 20 minutes while completing this and Noone has come back to the line to check on me or anything just left here like a complete idiot. This trip for my niece graduation has been planned for over a year and to think that II agreed to initially spend $1300. for the worst experience ever. I felt like that vehicle made me a target for the road rage against me and the vandalism and should have never been given a vehicle with iutof state plates knowing all the crime specifically car break in's. And now I am being told I need to have established a toll pass 48hre after the first toll which was never told or offered to me at the original location. I feel that I am owed and apology and some type of compensation with regards to all the stress associated with everything within the control of Hertz setting me up for a successful car rental. They had me on hold for over an hour after speaking with Alex at the local office. Worst never again. Canceling anything associated with hertz gold card included.

    I reserved a car from Enterprise which was connected to me from Expedia. I made the reservation so I could pick up the car an hour later, and we timed everything carefully to meet everyone's needs. We arrived at the office at 11:00, which was the pick up time. There was a long line of people so we waited about 15 minutes. There were also people sitting on chairs around the room. When we got to the desk, we were told that they did not have a car for us, so we would need to wait with the other people until one was available. The receptionist said that all the "same day reservations" were made incorrectly or mistakenly, and they didn't have cars available. We asked if there would be a car ready in the next 30 minutes and she said probably not. If I made the reservation online and it was confirmed, this shouldn't have happened! When I was searching at home online, if there was not availability, I would have kept searching. This was most unprofessional and very disappointing and stressful. It also would have been nice if we were told there was no car for us BEFORE we waited in line for 15 minutes. (Last complaint: as we were leaving, we noticed that there were many Enterprise cars in the lot, which was further confounding.) Anyway, big THUMBS DOWN

I went to the closest Hertz office where I was and they told me that they don't change the oil on the cars on schedule they let it go double the length. Then the people at the office they do not want to replace the car for me. They told me incorrectly that I had to go back to the place where I rented the car which was 400 miles away. I looked on the website and their website clearly says you can do these exchanges at any Hertz location. When I brought that up to them. They acted like oh yes, of course that's what it means. I caught them lying and when they did finally relent and give me a car, it smelled like an ashtray had no gas in it and was filthy. We got through our trip and that was fine, but I will not be renting from Hertz again.

The vehicles they provided were dirty, poorly maintained, and had issues like worn-out tires and empty washer fluid. On my second rental, I specifically reserved a Tesla. Even though there were 2-3 Teslas visibly available, they refused to give me one and handed me a different electric car instead. If they can't honor the reservation, why even allow customers to book that model in the first place? Do yourself a favor, if you can rent with another company, just do it! I won't be renting from this location again, and I hope others avoid the hassle I went through.
