I looked on the website and their website clearly says you can do these exchanges at any Hertz location. When I brought that up to them. They acted like oh yes, of course that's what it means. I caught them lying and when they did finally relent and give me a car, it smelled like an ashtray had no gas in it and was filthy. We got through our trip and that was fine, but I will not be renting from Hertz again.

Rude and unaccommodating in person and on the phone. I left on my bike after a phone call transfer runaround. Rented successfully and with no problems from a local competitor U-Haul. THEN, I looked at my bank statement and Budget HAD CHARGED ME FOR THE RENTAL! Another multi hour phone call runaround to rectify the situation and get a refund. No thanks. Luay spoke with me and I was impressed by his frank appraisal of the car and general attitude. I showed up at 10 AM and Luay was ready with the key and had the car prepped and looking good. This car is a 2016 Honda Fit with just over 98k miles. It has some cosmetic imperfections, as any car that age does. But after a thorough test drive, i felt that this car would serve us well. Luay and I reached a deal quickly, and i drove the car home. I bought this car on the 9th, but wanted to give it some time in case any issues arose. None have, and I am super-pleased with our new vehicle. And even more -- this was one of my best ever dealings with a car dealer. When you're looking for a good used car, give Luay a call. However the extreme disregard for our requests and needs lead to a loss of income *and* increased expenses. The trailer we had reserved was unavailable when we arrived at this location to do a time sensitive hauling job in SF. We were not called to let us know it had not been returned and had the unfortune to have to drive there to find out. Upon arriving we were handed a 1800 # to try and rent from a different office. I requested Travis to offer assistance in navigating the call to get a replacement, to which he refused. I asked again as it is literally his job to provide customer care. He actually raised his voice and told me it didn't make a difference if we called or if he did. He was holding his phone and leaning back in his chair like I was disturbing him from scrolling on his phone. Attempting to reason with him is not going to work. We ended up having to rent past the bridge, and after doing the job loading/unloading 1720 lbs, we had to drive back over the bridge to return the trailer in traffic. This also added money for driving multiple axels to the bridge toll. It created a significant time crunch, and had to cancel another job that day. When calling the Fedex office to see if we could drop it at the office we originally rented from, we were informed in would cost us $150 to do so. Would never rent from this office again and truly believe the five star reviews are false and should be flagged. "... never had him get angry with me or give me a hard time." why would anyone put that in a five star review? Please.
