We are slowly walking into a post COVID world and Renew Massage completely lived up to its name. Specifically, Renew Massage was embodied by a wonderful masseuse named Tammy. She's a wonderful human as well. The front desk staff I interacted with were wonderful as well. The space is very comfortable and inviting. I arrived early and had 10-15 minutes to spend. The space is very calming and the vibe is mellow. This massage was all the things - pressure was a conversation we had, pain points noted, areas I didn't know were pain points were discovered, but not in an "oh hell" kinda way. I didn't specify a deep tissue massage and I'd imagine Tammy would not have classified it as such, but it was incredibly functional for me - it wasn't relaxing at all times, but a mixture. They don't handle your personal profile (not a therapist), so if you are expecting massage for injury therapy or therapy for back issues this place isn't what you need. However, they do help you relax, they do a great massage. Many people come frequently that they do have a built in clients they know because of the frequency they see them. I highly recommend him if you're seeking a massage therapist in the Arvada/Golden area. Matt was thorough in analyzing not only my current health status, but also paid close attention to my overall health and activity history. He used this information to plan my treatment, and even advised that we break up my 90-minute session into two 45 minute sessions so that we can begin to properly address some if my issues. He also recommended (and later emailed references for) some great local yoga studios when I indicated I was in the market. This attention to detail and focus on patient well being is what separates the good from the great. The massage itself was firm and therapeutic. I prefer deep tissue-style massages and Matt definitely delivered. It was precisely what needed, and I've noticed immediate improvements in my comfort and range of motion.
