Highly reccomend for amazing quality haircuts, color, and more!…read more I wanted to dye my hair a different color. Originally, i had like 3-5 different hair salons to choose including Fortelli. I narrowed down based on the best reviews possible and the nearest location. I ended up picking this place! I was able to get a consultation and drove by. The place look amazing! Everyone was so nice. They offered some hot tea or coffee to drink if i needed but i was okay. It was sweet of them though! Before i did the hair coloring session, i had to pay a deposit to ensure my spot for the day then when i'm done completely, i pay the remaining amount. I forgot whom i spoke to but i wanted an ash brown balayage. The lady said my hair is too long and dry and probably would cost anywhere near $600+. She suggested i go for a dark caramel brown since if we go for ash brown, it might take two session. My hair inspiration picture was a little lighter so i agreed and went with the hairstylist's idea. We set out the price as $400+ instead since i had a conversation with my mom and we mutually agreed i'd have my hair cut before we do the actual process. I wasn't sure if i'm allergic to any of the hair products they use including the bleach involved. She kindly put some of the bleach on my arm and said if i don't feel any reaction then i'm good, if so, i'd have to call her to let her know. I didn't have reaction, it was good to go. The hair process took about 4-6 hours. We did the bleaching session, which was an hour (i think). The shampoo and conditioner, was just few minutes. After that, we then put the color in and let it rest before we wash that out. It was such a crazy experience to see my color going from black to light blonde for the bleaching part! The hairstylist blowdried and curled my hair. It looked amazing! I find the price quite expensive but it was worth it! I gave her tip as well before leaving the place. My balayaged hair lasted almost 2 years. There was no orange strands which some people did went through when having colored hair, i didn't get it! I was able to wash normally as i would. Otherwise, lovely experience! PS: this happened in 2019 before covid!

I had checked out his Facebook page and was very impressed with his talent. I'm so happy with my new hair and have already rebooked to keep it looking great. The salon is very clean and upscale looking but the staff are all so warm and welcoming - from reception to the stylists! It was the best experience and I'm looking forward to returning! I've already had a ton of compliments!

She didn't like that one bit, said absolutely nothing. Then she quickly cut my hair, must have been a time record, no more than 7-8 minutes, and when she was done I was looking worse than before. Nothing like the pic I showed here initially. After I said "thanks, have a good day" she didn't even bother responding. No way I'm going back there ever.

I can only hope that they have jobs elsewhere. I needed to get my hair cut. I did a recent staycation in Mississauga and decided to visit a Great Clips that I had visited back in July. However, the parking situation was crazy. I did a map search and found this First Choice Haircutter in the plaza across the street. This hair salon is next to No Frills. Although there are some crazy shoppers trying to get their Christmas grocery shopping done, I found a decent parking spot and walked in. It was busy in the salon. I was immediately greeted by a hairdresser, Annie, who eventually cut my hair. She told me to come with her. I wasn't expecting to go in so soon and needed to take off my coat. I was impressed! She was great. I was upfront with what I wanted done. "See this automatic flip of my hair?" I asked her, pointing at it. "Yes," she replied. "I need my hair cut above it. It's driving me crazy," I replied. "I can do that. Straight across, about four inches?" she asked. "Yes, please," I said, happily. I am a low maintenance person. I wash my hair and pretty much go. I can't be bothered with a rolling brush and a blow-drying every day to fix this automatic flip. I lucked out that she understood my hair. She has the same hair type: straight, black, oily hair. She was great to chat with as she expertly cut my hair. She even trimmed my bangs so I could see again, which I appreciated. She said that I looked cute after she was done. She pointed out that she has a sale going on with shampoo and conditioner. At first, I said that I was good. However, looking at the various varieties made me want to give the tea tree shampoo a try. I have only hair and skin. I use a tree tree wash for my face, but don't for shampoo. I got two bottles for $18. One bottle regularly goes for $16. It was a good way for me to test it out. I paid for my shampoo and haircut, and tipped her. She thanked me for dropping by. I thanked her for making me look and feel better about my hair. I'd come back here again. (261)
