Took my laptop in because it was having keyboard issues and an audio problem. They said that if the $40 dollar clean doesn't fix the issue, then they won't charge for it. After finding out I needed to buy a new part and cleaning it didn't fix the keyboard issue, I decided I would just pick it up. Assuming they in fact cleaned it, I was disappointed to find all the same smudges and particles as before. Luckily they stuck to their word of not charging for the cleaning but also, they didn't clean. Not sure if they either lied or were planning on cleaning only if I bought that extra piece. Brought a malfunctioning Rokit 6 monitor / speaker for repair to the McKinney, TX location. I asked them if they are able to fix such speakers, and they said yes. They made a diagnosis that the speaker itself is blown, but I knew for a fact that this was not the case. After complaining about the incorrect diagnosis, they revisited it and concluded it was a burnt diode, and that they cannot fix it. It makes you wonder if they actually did a decent diagnosis initially, if they would change it once you press them about what they did. I suspect they did not want to work on it and only took my bench charge money. Totally unsatisfactory. Do not take your repairs to this dishonest company. They did not even give me a written description of the diagnosis, just a receipt. read more

I cracked my iPhone screen and submitted a claim with the Verizon insurance and had a pleasant experience getting it repaired here. I did not have an appointment and walked in on a Saturday afternoon. I had to leave my phone there for two hours which was a little long. But it was ready when I went to pick it up and the person at the counter was very friendly. Also, they validate your garage parking. When I brought my iPhone 12 Pro to uBreakiFix, I was not expecting to get it back in worse shape than when I brought it in. UBreakiFix is NOT and Authorized Apple repair shop. I took that risk and got burned and can't suggest you take your Apple products here either. I had a hairline crack from a drop on one of the outer lenses of the back camera. This is just the protective glass on the outside, a $10 part, not the more expensive internal lens of the camera. I brought it to UBIF for repair. They were courteous and "repaired" it in the time frame promised. I asked if they had to open the phone to repair it, and they told me they did it by breaking the old glass out from the outside. This extremely risky as the glass element of the lens can be easily chipped and damaged this way. Opening the phone is more difficult but the safest way to ensure you are not causing more damage. Sure enough I took the phone out into the light and there was a chip on the glass element of the lens that was not there before. This is a far more costly problem than the one I brought them to fix. The pictures are terrible now. I brought it back to UBIF immediately and they refused to honor their warranty and told me the "burden of proof" was on me to prove they did it. They are the only ones who could have chipped the lens as they are the only ones who could have touched it. Accidents happen, I understand. They should've been more careful and done a more thorough repair and taken responsibility for the damage they have done. They told me I would just have to get a new camera which is a $600 repair from Apple! That's on top of the $100 I paid them to "repair" it. I do not recommend uBreakiFix at the Emory Point location for repairs or customer service. As of Sept 2, the manager hasn't responded to phone calls and an email sent. My experience is they are helpful and responsive until they mess up. Update Sept 3: Got through to someone from uBreakiFix corporate. They are opening an investigation. read more

The store said they are never responsible for loss of water-resistance on phones after they fix and reseal them. Took my Galaxy S8+ to them for a screen replacement. Two days after the repair, I discovered moisture buildup inside the phone right on the camera len. Called them to see if they could reseal the phone properly. They said since it's water issues, I must send the phone back to Samsung. I asked if they would be responsible for the extra repair charge. They replied that once phones went out their door, they are not longer responsible. I want to point out that, Galaxy S8+ has a IP68 rating, which indicates that the phone is water resistant up to 1.5 meters (4.92 feet) for 30 minutes. So no water should get inside the phone if the phone only sees running water under a faucet. The only reason I said moisture inside was because ubreakifit did not seal the phone properly. I have washed my phone with soap and running water everyday for the past two years. Never once had I any water issue until ubreakifix replaced the screen. For them to deny all responsibility and claim that water resistance means allowing water droplet on surface only, it's absolutely unacceptable. read more

Unfortunately had a bad experience here. Brought my phone in because the charging port was broken, no other issues. Paid $120 for the replacement, picked it up and my phone suddenly started turning itself off every few minutes. Even though it wasn't doing that before I dropped it off, they then said the battery was the issue so I paid $50 more for them to repair that. After that, the phone was still doing the turning off issue. So they damaged it somehow. Ended up just getting a refund and had to get a new phone. I would not recommend going here. My phone is worse off than when I brought it in. read more

i really wanted to give this place a good review but with all the complications that have happened from just needing a screen repair is kinda ridiculous. I came in and everybody is super nice and cool! i give my phone over, 2 hours later i get it, then when i charged it at my house, the home button wasn't working? they took note the first time that it was broken but i guess just forgot to fix it? i go back the next day, the guy is real cool and says he has to order the new home button so i can get it tomorrow. After finally getting my phone, my home button is so sensitive it tends to click when i'm not even touching it, and now my literal circle over the home button just fell off :/. i know everybody was trying their best but i expected it to be completely fixed the FIRST time i dropped it off. I was real close to getting scammed here. I went to replace my protective cover for my iPhone when the worker told me if I paid $100 right then and there, I would be able to have unlimited replacements in the future. I decided not to and paid $20 for them to replace the cover. The next time I went, I asked the worker about the $100 unlimited replacement and he said it didn't exist. He then asked for $25 to repair the cover. When I inquired about the price difference, he said it is up to whoever is repairing the phone to determine the price they wish to charge. I don't know about you, but that strikes me as extremely scammy. Also, the quality of these repairs are terrible. read more

I went to the store in McDonough GA to replace my screen protector at 11am, and they told me it takes 4hrs to return to pick it up at 3 pm. I said I'll wait so I was there until 1hr and half maybe then I forgot I had someone coming at 1pm and was expecting a call from them so I had to leave I ask for my phone back to leave the lady at the counter went to get my phone but the Manager Melissa said it takes a longer time to fix it and to leave it but I told her I needed my phone because I had a appointment at the house for my a/c she then gave me back my phone. I called the store this morning to ask what is the least busy time so I can return she said in my case it does takes longer all I had is my screen protector lifted, I spoke to the Manager this morning to ask why their time is so long she said basically that is how long it should take. My roommate and I just went on the Saturday before her screen was crack the hinges was broken and screen protector was broken it took them 1hr and half to fix hers, mine is just the screen protector lifting up. While the reviews seem to be good overall for this location, I have had a horrible experience. When I first came in, I had an issue with my charging port. After waiting way longer than I expected, I got the computer back. It worked for about two days before it had the exact same issue. Obviously pretty frustrated, I went back and explained to them how I was having the exact same issue. They took it in, and after waiting a while (again), they gave it back. Once I got it back, I used it for about 2 minutes before the computer just turned black, unresponsive, and had no sign of life. I'm still dealing with the issue, and I might be looking at having to get a new computer. When I first came in, I simply had a charging issue. While they refunded my initial fee, it doesn't compare to the money I'd have to put down for a new computer. This has been a gruesome process that has taken a couple of months. I'm now going to a different place that my friends recommended. Never will I come back here. read more

PLEASE DO NOT LET THIS STORE REPAIR YOUR PIXEL. I brought mine in for a cracked screen, no big deal, right? A few days later I notice my screen DETACHED from the phone. I immediately called and they said they did not have the adhesive from Google but they could do a temporary adhesive until they got the correct one in. I brought it in as soon as I could. That adhesive started coming loose too while I was on vacation a few days later. I called and they said they had the Google one in stock and they would set it aside for me. I brought my phone in as soon as I could (again). Two days later it starts falling off. I called the store and asked for a refund and they said the best they could do was put my OLD CRACKED SCREEN back on and then they could do a refund. I said why would I do that because then I would have LESS than what I started with. After that, I would have a CRACKED SCREEN that also FALLS OFF. At this point I wish I would have saved my $140 it cost to "repair" the broken screen and just bought a new pixel altogether. PLEASE DONT BRING YOUR PHONE HERE. It's not worth it to leave it there for 2 hours each time just to have to come back a few days later. read more

U Break I Break More is what this place should be called... We were very disappointed with this places service. Sent phone in bc the charger broke off in the charge port. Phone was working just fine for a few weeks and we were charging it with the charging pad. Anyway, we bring it in, they switch the charging port and give it back. The phone is now stuck in the death boot loop. We bring it back in. They prioritize other clients for literally 3 whole days pulling our leg, and finally on Friday afternoon after calling and pushing they say it's actually the battery, so there goes another $50 charge on top of the original $120. No admittance that they may have caused the issue since the phone wasn't looping before, and claim with certainty it's our own fault and the battery is "fried". He switches the battery out and we get home and it's still boot looping. Bring it in the next day on Saturday and basically we just have to get a refund and they put old parts back in and we have a broken phone - after 4 days of back and forth BS. From everything I've read they clearly damaged 1 or 2 other parts that are adjacent to the battery and charge port and initiated the death-like boot loop. The service waiver saying they'll replace the phone if they damage it isn't worth the paper it's written on! read more

I initially went to this store because it's close to home. I keep going back because of the great service. I've never had anything but attentive service any time I've gone. My son's phone died and they tried to fix it but told us it was either one part they'd need to order or the motherboard was fried and we'd need a new phone. They order the part and tried it, but it didn't work. They gave their condolences and didn't charge us anything. When my wife broke her phone screen, they were able to fix it while we waited and cheaper than most stores.
