I came here to get my broken phone screen repaired, but I decided not to go through with the repair because of an experience that made me uncomfortable. The employee helping me asked for my phone passcode. I've had my phones repaired by the same company before at a different location, and they have never asked for my password. I normally just turn off Find My iPhone, hand them the phone, and they complete the repair without needing access to my personal data. I'm not accusing anyone of having bad intentions, but I couldn't understand why my passcode was necessary. To be safe, I left and went to the Cerritos location instead. They repaired my phone without asking for my passcode, and when I mentioned what happened, the employee there also said it was unusual. My advice is to be cautious and protect your privacy. If someone asks for your phone passcode, don't feel pressured to give it out. Ask why it's needed and whether there's another way to complete the repair. He was pretty informative, he explained to me on the potential services when signing up for their subscriptions, so I decided to take the offer. Recently I tired to start a claim and the whole process for them to accept is completely bs. I don't recommend this place and would not be fooled to signup for the monthly subscription. read more

This place has zero customer service. We waited for 2 hours for our phone to be fixed and at the last minute they told us their part was defective and there was not another one in stock. So of course our only option was to "upgrade to a premium" part which cost more. Since it was their fault I asked them to honor the price I agreed to and they said they couldn't. I even said at least meet me half way. And they said no. I asked to speak to a manager and of course there was not a manager available. They said the manager was not going to be in till Thursday and today is Tuesday. No help. No manager. No working with us. Just pay more or go home empty handed with a broken phone. This has been a hugely bad expierience for me. I have a Pixel 10 pro. I also have the Pixel Care +. normally I do not purchase the insurance, but this time I did. Glad I did. This all started with a bad pixel in my screen. I took it to the Duarte branch of uBreakiFix by Asurion for repair. I found them to be less than professional and they had no interest in provide good customer care. They did replace the screen but it took forever. A few days later the screen did not turn on after going to sleep. I was able to get the screen to wake up eventually by pressing and hold the power and volume up buttons. This occurred several times. Finally it would not wake up, so I had to take it back. This time I went to the Downey branch hoping they would be more professional and fix what appeared to a problem caused by the Duarte branch. Long story short, they informed me the problem was where the screen cable connected to the motherboard. To fix this they had to order parts. They would do that Monday and the parts would arrive Tuesday. Well we are now a week later, no parts, no phone. The worst part is they promised to call with updates. They never did. I had to call several times and all I get is the parts have not arrived the phone is not ready. As you can imagine, without a phone, accessing websites that use two point verification (almost all of them) is a no go. No banking, no paying bills, etc. I wish I had mailed it in for repair. Had I done so, I would have my phone back without dealing with a group that does not keep promises, does not follow through, as they have not once reached out to me about the status of my repair. I have had to borrow a phone and call them as they never followed up as promised. I do not recommend uBreakiFix by Asurion service. Yes if it is a simple repair they are quick, but their lack of care during repairs can cause more sever damage and immobilize your phone. So far they have shown no interest in fixing my device. I will be reaching out to Pixel Care as this is unacceptable. read more

It it was done at the promised time however there's a big scratch going through the phone horizontally. I don't know if it's the screen protector that scratched or if the actual screen is damaged now. Not happy with service. Here's what happened, I went to drop off my Samsung Watch, here at ubreakifix Downey CA, because it wouldn't turn on. I went there and charge me $40 for diagnostic (I thought it was free diagnostic according to their website.) I ended up paying it because I wanted to get fix. Per technician, if I decided to have it fix there they will deduct the $40 towards the repair. After couple days, the tech called and said I needed a new battery for $107.99. I did approve the repair. After almost two weeks, they called and said the watch is ready to be picked up. I went there and about to pay. I was expecting they would deduct the $40 from $107.99. They said they already did. $107.99 plus tax is already deducted. I was asking for price breakdown. They couldn't provide one. Not even on their computer stating that the $40 was deducted. I feel like I got scammed with the pricing. I got coupon from their (ubreakifix) email and they wouldn't honor it because they're franchise. In short, they're very misleading. I'm very disappointed. Avoid this place at all cost the staff is very rude and disrespectful. If you have an appointment expect to wait a very long time because they will be servicing all the walk-ins before you even if you're on time for your appointment. I had an appointment at 10 AM I was waiting in my car since 9:30am out front. I didn't notice a line of people forming since I was with my one year-old waiting for our 10 o'clock appointment the employee let in six people before me that we're all walk-ins and he said I would not be seen till all the walk-ins were seen because they were there before me even if it was 10 AM and my appointment was at that time. He also stated he has six other appointments at 10 AM if they cannot handle Taking care of appointments, maybe they shouldn't set so many at the same time there's no point of making an appointment if they're gonna see everyone else before you. The employee tupfront was very rude and disrespectful to I would never return to this location. He also lied about having to make a claim. Which Verizon had already did. Thankfully, Verizon was just across the parking lot and told me he lied about having to make a claim because my appointment was set, and my insurance was gonna cover the damage. he was trying to charge me 200 out-of-pocket and just didn't wanna help me on my way out. He yelled at me and said not to cause a scene in his store because I told him that they should have a better system in place for their appointments. read more

Yay or nay? 1/2 Brought my laptop to get repaired here a while ago. Overall process was long and tedious but mostly due to a payment problem on their end which was eventually solved. While they corrected the mistake it was a very time consuming ordeal. Also took about two weeks for the repair if I recall correctly. Expensive? 0/1 Yes. I definitely didn't feel like I got a good deal. How fair of a statement that is I'm not 100% on as I haven't had similar repairs elsewhere recently. I paid somewhere around 300-400 for a cracked screen on a very cheap work laptop that was about 800 total which is why this repair felt pricey. Location 0/1 Several free parking spaces near. Location is terrible though. Has a huge window without any shade blocking the sun. The room is small and gets a lot of sunlight. It gets uncomfortably hot in there. Even the poor employees aren't used to it. One of them was sweating profusely. Zero AC or fans and sometimes it takes a long time depending on the issue the people ahead of you have. My son attempted to insert an external memory drive to his PS5 and ended up stripping the screw. I brought the item to Best Buy and they said they were not able to fix it and recommended UBreakIFix next door. Charles and Blake were working and helped me so quickly. They were so knowledgeable and helpful. I was told that if they need more time to fix it then it would be a charge but in in less than 5 minutes and I was out the door. They inserted the external drive even fixed the stripped screw The following day I needed to add a heatsink and was having a difficult time unscrewing the screw and didn't want to risk stripping it so I brought the PS5 in again. Another gentleman was there and helped me so quickly. He inserted the heatsink and gave it back in less than 5 minutes. It was a busy day for them and he still took the time to help me so quickly. I wish I could remember the guys name but he was hella cool. I went in to get a quote on the charging port of my iPhone 12 Pro Max. My main thing was to get a quote. He was nice enough to take a look. I usually use a toothpick to clean the port but he used some tweezers and a specific liquid to clean the port. Only 2 minutes and he was done. Waited 10 minutes while said manager failed to ring up another customer, despite making a phone call for assistance on how to use the register. Then was told the screen protector for my Fold 3 wasn't in stock because it's popular...because keeping popular items in stock doesn't make any sense, I guess? Then was told I could call back next week sometime to see if they got any new ones, but they couldn't be sure if they would, or when. Total waste of time, don't waste your money here. When I asked them about it, they said that it is my problem and they already replaced two screen protector. Now I have to mail it into Samsung to get it fixed. Brought zflip to get repaired. Chad, store manager was polite and insisted it was Samsung policy that the warranty was void because I removed the screen on my phone. Even though we had Samsung on the phone to confirm that removing the screen does not void the warranty. Samsung literally told the store clerk directly that removing the screen does not void the warranty. Chad, the store manager, refused to service my zflip. He insisted that it was his discretion to decide if he wanted to approve fixing my device. The employee who helped us, I don't have his name, was not necessarily incredibly rude but acted as if he was annoyed with us because we continued to insist that removing the screen protector did not void the warranty. If I could give this place 0 stars I would! Please stay away! I took in my Samsung smartwatch for repair because it wasn't charging. They told me I would get a call back by Friday to let me know if they could fix it. When I didn't receive a call I decided to call them myself, thats when I realized that the phone number that was written on the receipt as a call back number was completely wrong. That was the first red flag! I mean not just one digit, but the whole entire phone number. On the phone I was told that my watch was not fixable and that I could pick it up. To my surprise I was handed my watch broken into two pieces. They refused to take responsibility! The manager Chad told me that the battery inflated and did this on its own. Are you kidding me? My watch has not been turning on for months but as soon as you touch it, it decided to fall apart? They get about 40 customers a day so I didn't expect my phone back soon but they got it back to me same day good as new. Seems to always have a lot of people there but I think they did a great job managing the clients. Hiccups happens, luckily for me during this claim it was only a matter of time before my phone was fixed and they happen to have the parts I needed in stock. Looks like a solid crew there.
