Worst rated business I've seen in a while I Called jun 18th 2026 to get a quote on a screen I was left on hold for 30 minutes as of this writing , unknowing the employee didn't mute the phone and appeared to be training another employee by the sound of the conversation , I picked up on the name Josh They discussed smoking marijuana and other unprofessional things believing nobody was listening They proceeded to discuss how they take advantage of insurance companies and how they " put the phone down " when calls come in, insinuating that when calls come in, they take the phone off the hook so customers can not reach the team, im a business owner and I understand stressed staff but this is absolutely unacceptable, along with talks of other illegal practices Stay far away from this business, they do not care about their customers one bit read more

My phone broke while I was driving through and I stopped in and the services was quick fast and they reposted my iPhone 12 that had been broke before and now works like new. I would recommend stopping in and checking it out!! read more

I brought in my pc for a diagnostics check and was told I would get it back within 3-5 days. After 5 days there was no call so I gave them a call asking for progress. They let me know there would be a delay in its completion with NO update on its current state. They assured me I would get an update soon and informed me of they didnt call me because my number was in wrong. This back and forth proceeded for WEEKS where I had to call and they let me know my pc was being worked on but my number was in wrong and that's why they didnt contact me. They would let me know that they would call in the next two days and I would never receive a call. I would call them multiple times within those days and would get sent to voicemail. When i finally called asking where it was again after nearly three weeks, they let me know that it was done and they would have called me but my number was printed wrong even though i called the day before to confirm my number was down. The workers responses were lax, specifcally Ryan who was not helpful and continued to give me promises that were not completed. Overall I had a horrible experience and feel as though my time was entirely disrespected.​ read more

Today January 2nd and my first time here the person that greeted me name , Samuel was so professional and helpful with my teenagers phone ‍ He talk to us about what was going on with the phones as well as what happened to the phones explained why and how they could fix them, all in a professional an honest manner I'm leaving the phones for a couple of hours so they can correct the problem ! I went in for a broken back glass on my iPhone 13 and was quoted $300, but it's an intensive repair so it is what it is. They managed to break an antenna in the phone that prevents it from turning on. I was told it would be repaired at the Janesville location by tonight. I am currently typing on my laptop as I do not have the phone yet and now they are saying I may not have the phone till 2 to 4 days from now. I understand that stuff happens, but their inability to rectify their mistakes is appalling. read more

Referred over from the Verizon Store to this place today. My ancient iPhone would no longer allow a charger to be inserted into the charging port. Verizon staff asks -- has it dropped? Many times. Did it get wet? Quite possibly. (Adopted new, huge, geriatric mutt. Long story.) But the iPhone has had a ruggedized, purportedly waterproof (so to speak) case. One option Verizon offered was to have the iPhone checked out at this place. Covered under warranty. Ok. Let's try it. Small, dark store, just two blocks down from Verizon. (Use your GPS to get there. Complicated location -- but easy access.) Got an apptmt right away. One guy there. He asks questions. Checks iPhone out. Finds out a rice kernel entered the port, absorbed moisture there, expanded, blocked the port. Rice kernel removed; port open again! He also fixed something with the flashlight on the iPhone. Just because it was annoying. Really fast, really good, covered under the Verizon warranty. Now that I know where he is and what he can do, can bring iPads, computers, etc there. Reports he's also done ATV electronics. Are you having trouble with electronic gadget whatever? Try calling them. Maybe they can fix it. Really nice service to have locally. read more

The gentleman that helped me on 10/02/2024 and again on 10/03/2024 was one of the MOST HELPFUL and COURTEOUS and KNOWLEDGEABLE representatives that I have dealt with since my Samsung phone got blocked last week. I have been with U S Cell for my phone service for years and their reps/sales people could not help me and sent me to the Perryville St. uBreakifix store in Rockford, IL, and he immediately said they did not have the "block" needed for me to save the phone # and photos that have been in my phone since my son & husband passed away, which mean the world to me. I think the man at the Machesney Park store said his name was Quamay (?) and I just can't praise him enough - he is truly above and beyond any technician I have dealt with in years and I'm 81 years old. read more

Dropped off an iPad 5th gen that worked perfectly, but needed a replacement charge port (was charging intermittently). Was told 1 week, due to the part having to be ordered. It took 2.5 weeks. I sent my daughter to pick it up while I was out of town for the day. She paid and received the iPad, only to find that there was now a huge bubble under the screen. She asked for them to fix that and was told to return in 30 minutes. She came back and found that there were now what appeared to be scratches under the screen. She called me and I had her request a refund while they fixed it, and that we would return the next day to pay for it and pick it up. We came back the following day. They had "reverted" the repair (by presumably de-soldering the entire charge port connector), and had somehow either disconnected the battery or discharged it completely (along with a few "extra" fingerprints under the screen). They said that they thought that she didn't want to pay, so they couldn't leave it repaired?! There is no way to tell if the screen even works now. I explained the miscommunication and asked them to complete the original repair and I would pick it up later that week. They said that the manager would not allow them to do any work on the unit. Very frustrating and very unprofessional. All we ever wanted was for the unit to be repaired, and in the same shape that we brought it in. We never asked for them to revert anything. read more

Took in my iPad to get the screen replaced took over a week to fix and as soon as I got it back the button broke.then they charged my CC twice for the repair and when I went in to as for my overpayment returned I was told I would have to get it back from corporate but it's been 10 days and no return of my money!! My phone recently cracked and it drove me insane. After about 3 days of being cracked, I decided to take it to ubreakifix because some of my friends had recommended it. Not only did they fix it in 2 hours, but they only charged $150(much lower than other prices). The only issue is that I had to reset Face ID on my phone, but that was easily fixed. 100% satisfied! read more

I've gotten lots of problems fixed here over the years, from needing a new iMac screen (major "oops") to replacing my iPhone LCD screen (much "uh oh"), as well as replacing my iPhone battery and headphone port. I brought in my laptop to be fixed. They never called and updated us on anything they were doing, we would have to constantly call for updates. It took a month to get fixed. We found out that they accidentally ordered the wrong part and had to wait to have another part reordered. Only problem I really have with this place is they didn't give proper updates . If they would've told me they ordered the wrong part it would've been fine. I didn't like having to call multiple times to know what was taking longer than the time they said. read more

The very first time I used them was great, but that was 3 years ago! Now they are all super lazy and seem like they don't want to serve you! I don't usually take the time out to make a review but this really bothers me! I went to the E. State street and Machesney park locations just in the past 4 months and both were horrible! The e state st one took an Xbox that we wanted to repair only to have it for 3 weeks with no call or update. I called to find out "oh it doesn't work" but you can come get it for free. My son brought it home disappointedly and plugged it in to try one last thing and it works fine all of a sudden. That tells me they never tried to fix it! I then made an appt at the Mach park location for an iPad and laptop screen to be repaired. We left with both products because they told us it wasn't worth fixing for the cost. They told me my daughter's iPad was not repairable and it would be way better just to buy her a brand new one. They acted like they were in such a hurry to get to the next person even though we made an appointment for that time. So we took it home and it sat in the bag for about three weeks and I just started it up to try it one last time and Bam it works magically again I don't know what they were doing or what they even tried but obviously they don't want my business and they didn't even try to fix the Xbox. This is disappointing as I've been using you guys as my go to tech repair for a long time now only to be treated like crap is not very fun at all. I will now find new places to go for my tech repair and thankfully there are other options in my area. I brought my iPad in to get the screen fixed. They fixed it but now my iPad is completely ruined. I can't turn it off, music turns on for no reason, the screen is shaking and it just puts random screens up and random pictures. I have brought it back 4 times and each time I have gotten home it does the same thing. They haven't even bothered to fix it. They say it's fine but the minute I use try to use it I can't. I would advise people to stay away from them. They lie about fixing your device. And of course I was charged. One of the times I brought it back it sat there for 3 days before I called and they said they hadn't fixed it because no one put down what was wrong with it. No one called me to ask what was wrong with it. I had to call them and find out what was going on then another 3 days and I bring it home and once again it's not fixed. read more

I got my screen repaired and during its repair a little bit of dust got in my front camera and made the picture blurry i called in advance since I was at work and let them know I was coming back in this being the day after the skinny kid with glasses responded over the phone with he doesn't know and "we'll see" as if I was lying or trying to get something out of the company I brought my phone in and he was just very monotone and what considered to be rude he fixed my phone and handed it to me over the counter and just goes "here" like a baby giving up something he doesn't want to just a childish experience at that ive been in multiple times and this by far is the worst... read more
