I have been coming here because they used to do a good job. Long story short. My daughter usually takes her phone to the shower and sings while showering. Never had an issue even after Iee fixed her other phone. It was still good to go for the shower. My daughter's screen cracked. She is 9 years old, and I told her that she could pay half and I would pay the other half. I wanted to teach her a lesson so she could be more mindful of how to take care of things. I came over 1 week ago to fix her phone, paid over $200 with a new screen protection. Yesterday, while she was in the shower, it stopped working. I came here to let them know what happened and spoke with Brian. I asked the manager because they wanted to charge another $200 to start. They didn't give me the managers name, nor did they let me talk to him to fix this issue and see what if they could do to solve this problem. ( bad business )The parts that they use were not original apple parts. Today I ask them, why didn't they offer the originals parts? He said: it's usually reserve for insurances. I said, what? So you are putting parts that are not original? And Brian said yes, because it's a lower price. I said: why didn't you offered the original part. And the excuse came around. Bottom line. Disappointment at this business; I couldn't talk to a Manger, they do not offer original apple parts, and they want you to pay again for a diagnostic. FRAUD!!! SCAM!!! DO NOT TAKE YOUR ELECTRONICS TO THIS PLACE. I brought my phone in to do a recall repair due to a battery issue on my Google Pixel. The Google Store sent me to this authorized repair shop. When I picked it up it was reloading very slowly but they ushered me out the door because it was close of business. The screen went dark within ten mins of my ride home. I let them know via email as soon as I got home. I brought it in the next day and they said it would cost $175 for a new screen to replace the one THAT THEY BROKE!! Based on other reviews it looks like this is something they do as a revenue generator. They refused to fix what they broke. I had to take it to another shop to fix it and they said that the damage looked intentional as they put tape in a location at the center of the phone rather than along the edges where it usually goes. And they used glue which is never used in this way. Stay far away from this place. And if they try to write a response saying they didn't break it or that it was dropped, think about why that makes no sense. I get nothing out of writing this review other than warning others. My phone has already been repaired by another company. I have nothing to gain from this post and they have everything to gain from lying. read more

Had to come in for a warranty repair from Asurion for a defective charging port. Verizon booked me here and I am SO glad they did. I came in, the tech was super friendly and very nice. Looked at phone and suggested to try a deep cleaning on the charging port of my Samsung S22 first. Came back and that actually did the trick! Verizon doesn't cover port cleaning only port replacement which in turn means a complete phone replacement. But the cleaning worked and they just sent me on my marry way. No charge, even though Verizon wasnt going to cover it. But saved me the hassle of dealing with a total phone replacement. I'll definitely be coming back if/when I have other phone issues. read more

I chose this business to repair my Samsung phone because they're an authorized Samsung repair shop and I wanted legitimate parts installed.. They had all the parts I needed in stock and they could get it done on a Saturday afternoon which was important to me as well. I came in and had no issue with the quoted price. Keep in mind this was not a warranty job, this was out of my pocket. Things went sideways quickly as they take my phone to the back then come back out with a flashlight and state that this store does a complimentary inspection before working on a phone. The tech proceeded to show me a micro crack on the phones back glass. Of course this tiny crack is only visible with a flashlight. So what, I thought. My issue had NOTHING to do with the back of the phone. I thought they were telling me this just to protect themselves so I don't blame them when they return my phone back to me. No. They said they won't fix my phone unless the phone passed inspection first. Apparently a tiny crack on the back glass is significant. He apologized but said it was this store's policy. It would cost an additional $80 to fix. I was pissed, but my alternative would be to go another shop and probably would have to wait for ebay parts to be ordered. I reluctantly accepted and vowed to research this BS policy of theirs. An analogy would be going to a car dealership's service department to have break pads replaced. The service department then proceeds to tell you that your last oil change was 6k miles ago, and the recommended miles for an oil change is 5k. Unless you have your oil changed as well they won't fix your brakes. Per UBreak's corporate website" Every Samsung phone repair starts with a free diagnostic exam. During this process, a tech will examine the functionality of the phone and check for damage to see what is malfunctioning or broken. Once they determine the issue, the tech can create a repair plan and the customer can decide if they want to move forward with the repair". I suspect this store's policy is out of compliance with UBreak's corporate guidelines. I then thought this might be a Samsung requirement. So I went to Samsung's repair page and there are no stipulations when mailing phones to Samsung for repair about the rest of the phone having to be in mint condition. So whatever... Pros - They had the parts in stock and have some type of specialized Samsung training. They were able to fix a phone in an hour, on a late Saturday afternoon. Cons- Store specific policy that if you have defects (minor or that are not important to you) you'll have to have them fix it or they won't work on your phone. Obviously when you're without a phone they have leverage over you.. I will never come back to this location, even if I have warranty work. Ubreak seems like a good company, but like with all franchises it just takes one greedy franchise owner to tarnish a good reputation. read more

They denied a health worker ID coupon for a phone repair. They gave me false information and performed a poor quality diagnostics on laptop. According to their own website and the official terms and agreements on Samsung.com, pharmacists are eligible to get a free phone repair. They denied it and asked me to call Samsung directly because they already denied another pharmacist who came in. I had the information directly from the Samsung website in front of me which took a few seconds to look up and they didn't want to bother. They performed a diagnostic test and didn't assemble the parts correctly after. Basically, my laptop doesn't charge properly. It always plugs/unplugs when charging. It only fully charges when off. After I got it back, it wouldn't even charge anymore while turned off. I took it to another diagnostic company who checked it and said the battery cable wasn't plugged. He told me it was either a poorly done job or intentional so I would be forced to come back. I've been to this place a few times before and brought friends in to fix their phone screens. I went in to drop off my laptop last week for diagnostics. They told me it would take 48 hours, which is fine. After 2 days and they said they need another 24-48 hours, I had a nice chat on the phone with Eric and understood that they were busy because of the situation and health concerns. I thanked him and said I'll await his call. I went there the following day and they said it would cost $199. They said the problem is the charging port. If that isn't the problem then the warranty would cover any fixes or refund from what Devin told me. All I had to do was put in a $100 deposit and said they could order it by Monday, and it would take 3-5 days for the part to arrive and possibly another day or two to install the part. I agreed to bring it in Monday morning but I had some work to do on my laptop and couldn't wait another week for repair. I called again and said how much it would cost if I bring in the part myself because Amazon can deliver it to me the next day. Devin said the estimate is around $100 but it's hard to tell because they don't know what parts they might have to disassemble. And I didn't really mind the warranty I just wanted to be fair and pay for their hard work and labor. After the confirmation from Devin, I decided to order the part and brought it in. The part itself is 5-15 dollars and thought it would be easier and more efficient if I would bring it in and pay for the labor and have them install it because they are the professionals. I waited with my dad inside and after talking with the front desk guy who was very nice he went to the back to bring out Devin so we can talk to him. He was probably busy working inside and I appreciate that he came out to explain the situation. He said he would be charging $179 for the labor without the warranty, different than what he told me on the phone. It is barely any different than paying the $199 with a warranty. Pretty much I felt that he was forcing me to get the warranty and wait another week for the laptop instead of honoring his word and taking the laptop on the spot and start working on it within a shorter time frame. The obvious choice would be to pay the $199 and take the warranty on the part just in case, but it didn't feel right and I felt bad and frustrated because of this situation so I told him I'd think about it and left. In other words, he didn't provide any options besides the one he wants. Before we left, my dad wanted to fix his Samsung Galaxy S7 phone screen because it had a crack. According to Google and Samsung, frontline workers get one free phone repair because of the work they have been doing during the pandemic. I asked Devin about that, he said he wouldn't honor it because they already denied a pharmacist before me. He said he thinks it doesn't apply to him. He told us to call Samsung and ask them myself. I had the official terms and agreements from the Samsung website in front of me on my phone which I pulled up within a few seconds, but he said I would still have to call them and come back. I've been there 3 times within a week and I don't know why but he has been making things very difficult and not giving us an option. They could have just taken it in and confirmed whether it was eligible or not when they filed an invoice, and a knowledgable and professional employee would have taken the phone and checked with Samsung to ask about it. He didn't want to do anything at all. He said the repair would only cover the screen and nothing else. Anyways, I did call Samsung after and they said they would provide a full repair on one phone, not just the screen. They apologized on his behalf even though they have nothing to do with the company and within minutes after confirming a health worker ID they sent me a shipping label for a full repair for my dad's phone. That is customer service you can't beat. Now I am left with a laptop that doesn' charge. read more

Years ago I worked in PC repair and sales in both retail and corporate environments. As a result, I went to uBreakIfix with some basic expectations regarding customer experience, and was overall disappointed. I often do many of my own repairs, but recently broke my phone and insurance would cover me getting it repaired. I started with getting a quote over the phone that they emailed to me. There was some confusion regarding the quoted price as it was higher than what was on their website after selecting their store. Whatever, I still had coverage, sent it off to the insurance company and got it approved. Upon going into the store there was more confusion surrounding the cost of the repair and the price I was given at the register was even higher than what I was quoted. This was frustrating, but at the end of the day it was under $20 and I just wanted to get the thing fixed. It was estimated to be done at 2:45. 3pm rolls around. No contact from uBreakIFix. I call and they say they're still working on it. The store closes at 5, 4:30 rolls around and I still have no contact. I call again and they say it'll be done after 5pm, but that's ok because they allow you to pick it up after the store closes. 6pm rolls around and still no call, I call again and they let me know it'd be done by 7. Finally at 6:30 they call telling me it's done, but I have to be there before 7 to pick it up. I was nearby so picked it up within 10 minutes. The repair was completed. I'd say the craftsmanship of the repair is good, the only thing I noticed is what looks like some dust behind the camera glass, but it does not seem to effect image quality. They have a 90 day warranty on their service so I'll be back if it's an issue. I don't have time to wait all day again as I need the phone for aspects of my job. I was most disappointed by the lack of communication and inconsistency in pricing. There's lots of places to get device repair from. In the future, I think I'll be going elsewhere. read more

The screen on my laptop needed to be replaced because it git cracked from being dropped. Ubreake told me that it would cost $50 to determine if the broken screen could be removed and replaced. In my opinion, they obviously had to know the answer to that question without charging anything. In my opinion, this is a rip off, plain and simple. They acted like they never dealt with a cracked laptop screen before. HP, the manufacturer, could do the repair cheaper than Ubreak. read more
