I had a screen problem on my Google Pixel 10 Pro and Verizon sent me to UBREAKIFIX in Smithtown. JP was able to see me immediately and he assessed the issue. Realizing it was going to take about 2 hours to fix and due to it being late in the business day with not enough time to fix it, JP gave me an appointment for the next day. The next day at noon I was greeted by Isaac and Balmor. They were both very courteous and professional, as was JP, and I left my phone for repair for two hours. When I came in it was all fixed with a new screen at no cost due to my Verizon insurance on the phone. Every member of this team at Smithtown is a PRO. I am very satisfied. STAY AWAY. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED. My phone was fully functional but the screen went black. I brought it into this store in Smithtown, was told it would be $350 and would be done in 2 hours. Went back for it and was handed my phone with a smashed screen that was taped together, a back that fell off, and was told that they didn't know how to repair it, but wanted $30 for the diagnostic. DO NOT GO TO THIS STORE. UPDATE - SEE THE BEFORE AND AFTER PHOTOS BELOW. I received a response by UBIF regarding my above review. They want me to contact them by email and/or phone, claiming how sorry they are. Unfortunately, the number they want me to call is the same one we called the other day, and spoke to "Alissa". She would do NOTHING to make up for this horrendous service. She actually accused me of "improper use of the device" causing a "catastrophic failure of the mother board". However, as described above, the phone was fully functional and intact when brought to them originally, aside from the dark screen issue. The phone was not dropped, it was not misused in any way. (See before photos below) Nice of them to try to look so customer service oriented, when all they did was destroy my property, blame me for it, then ask for payment for their "service". I now had to purchase a brand new $1700 phone plus case and accessories for it. TAKE A LOOK AT THE PHOTOS TO SEE HOW THEY ABSOLUTELY MANGLED MY PHONE AND TRIED TO TAPE IT BACK TOGETHER. My iPhone 13 had a battery life of 83% so I decided to get the battery changed out. I chose you break I fix only because I thought that the battery replacement would be cheaper than Apple store. Turned out not to be true, but since I was already there I turned over my device. When I get my 13 back it was malfunctioning in multiple ways and somehow those ways kept getting worse to where it felt like the phone was shitting out on me. I called up the store and explain the issues and was met was surprise. The person said I've never heard of that happening before due to a battery change. they suggested that I bring it in, but since they were the ones who broke it and didn't seem to know what was going on I decided against that. I decided just to get a new iPhone and trade in the 13. The trade-in value on our 13 mini iPhone the time of this writing is $150, however Apple wouldn't give me the $150 because they said that the screen had been replaced. I didn't ask for the screen to be replaced, but a non-OEM screen on my phone may have helped explain some of its crappy behaviors. So it cost me $150 for the new battery, and I'm out $150 for the trade-in For that reason, I'll never use you break I buy again. I thought to take my Xbox is in there to get them clean, however now I'm afraid they'll steal my parts or screw up my device. Amateurs. read more

Literally just got home from this place, here is a story for you! Reasoning for me being there today: - We brought (2) laptops and an IPhoneXR in to be repaired 2 years ago to a Christian V. (He failed to process the intake according to "Nick" the clerk at the desk). - the IPhone was fixed that day and the Laptops were supposed to be worked on for a longer period. - we chose to do this to recover images and videos from my deployment to Afghanistan and to have laptops for our household. (We had a operational desk top at the time) - They never reached out to us about the laptops and I guess changed ownership hands and destroyed our equipment without ANY notification to pick it up or anything. - my wife called today asking where it was because our Desk top popped out and now we need a computer. - My wife spoke with the associate (Nick) about the issue and he said our items were destroyed over a year ago and that he cannot help us. Nick then chose to hang up on my wife. So here I am, asking Nick "help me find a solution here, I want compensation for mishandling my equipment and I think it is horrible customer service to just hang up on a customer." He claimed he did not do it, and said "she had to have called corporate". I accepted that as answer because I try to believe people have integrity. Nick does not. Nick finally gave me the Corporate number that he said I can find online myself but I wasn't going to accept a lazy response. I arrived home after coming to some sort of a "resolution procedure" to rectify this problem through Corporate. I the get home and call the number my wife was hung up by and the store clerk "Nick" answered. I suggest finding a different place to get your stuff fixed, maybe just a different location because at least corporate sounded like they want to try and address the issue. read more

This was the worst experience of customer service as well as skill. I bought my Iphone in as screen was cracked told can fix for $189 I the. should the guy a text from Odyssey phone repair quoted $100 but they were closing for the day so the guy came down to $125 so was he trying to rip me off? Apparently. Well needless to say I left store was closing he changed screen phone didn't work at all so went back next day explained it didn't work I was just in last night the miserable worker Daniel M. who was quite rude said he would change it which he did left within 5 minutes phone not working so I called said I wasted 2 hours of my time I want a refund he advised I had to speak to mgr Nick who would be in at 11 the next day. In the meantime went to Odyssey in commack repaired in 5 minutes no problems said they used defective screen. So I called Mgr Nick said only could get refund if I bring defective. screen which the guy who actually fixed it threw it out and why wasn't this told to me by Daniel when I asked for refund. They are scammers jack their prices up unless you call them out it and don't know how to fix the simple thing as a screen after 2 attempts. would not compensate me at all I was willing to just take a phone carrier. Rude Daniel just kept saying no. I then asked for their last names as i'm filing small claims suit, notifying my bank to dispute charges and he was trying to throw me out. He actually called the police. the officer arrived and said he's been called to this store several times they do horrible work he would use them which obviously i'm. not and suggest no one goes there they rob you and don't fix what you paid for. they are rude. as hell I got not one oh I'm sorry you had to come back. Stands by their policy!! Went during winter to get screen fixed on daughters phone as it was cracked and phone had starting glitching. Up front they were not 100% sure that a new screen would fix the problem, but once they explained there refund policy I had decided to try it. I have to say that I worked with James, Alexa and Scott during my visits and/or phone calls. They were honest, tried incredibly hard to fix the issue and stood by there refund policy with no argument or hassling. I came in and handed my pc to fix. They said it'd be fixed in 3 days and asked for my password which was weird. You don't really need my password to fix my pc. Already a red flag. On the third day morning i called to see if it was ready. They said they've been so busy they haven't gotten to my pc yet and mine was just opened to get started and it should be finished by tomorrow afternoon. I came to the store and apparently my pc was untouched. Why'd the guy on the phone lie about telling me he was going to be working on it yesterday? I'd avoid this location and try another one because they are untrustworthy. read more

I brought an iPad and an IPHone to be fixed. I had a really positive experience with these people. The Iphone was fixed VERY promptly and the charge for it was reasonable. I told them I would come back for the iPad. When I came back, they told me that the charger I used at home wasn't charging it right (I have a few chargers at home & I must have used 1 that fit, but didn't do the job). Excellent! Jessie fixed my cell phone, which was only a year old and 2 weeks past warranty ended. It had crashed and I was unable to turn it on. Motorola support was not helpful. They wanted me to pay $150 and mail the phone to them in Dallas. He was able to turn it to factory settings and google account had all my apps, photos, etc. So nothing was lost.
