Came in this place to fix my phone through insurance atnt. The Back my phone just cracked. Everything internally was good. Phone calls text emails etc everything working good had it for 3years just need to fix the back cover. They said come back 3hrs, came back pick it up and on my way home it kept shutting down every 30secs ‍ I turn around and told them what's going on. They mention I have to pay $300 even with insurance . I came in with a good phone and left with a broken one and to fix it $300 ". My phone was good and than it wasn't after I left this place. I came in thinking I needed an expensive part replacement. Instead, they sold me on a much less expensive maintenance. My phone works like new for far less than I was expecting. Only waited about 20 min. Only downside, no magazines in lobby to read while they are working on phone ;) read more

Shitty business. Inconsistent and uninformed. Took my laptop in to get two keys reinstalled. Was prompted to buy the insurance subscription for $30/ month then cancel it after getting item fixed. Called 2 days later to get update on pickup day, was told they were unable to fix it but no one was able to call me to let me know. Requested a refund, was told they could do nothing about it besides call Asurion. Called Asurion, rep told me I actually needed to wait 30 days to file a claim and get item fixed. I requested a refund again and they transferred me to the billing department, which ended up being a broken extension. Called back and was told they weren't open anymore. Called the business back and they said "yeah I don't know why they wouldn't tell you that you need to wait to file a claim". Very frustrated with this business and definitely not going back ever again. read more

Dropped phone off for a front and back glass repair. Confirmed details on the claim before dropping it off. When the phone was picked up only the back glass was fixed. Was told I need to wait 24 and file a new claim. They admitted to fault but said there was nothing they can sue since the rep that did the phone intake didn't put in the correct information. read more

Dropped off my phone for warranty repair on 7.19.2023 and was told it would be done the following day. Went back to retrieve and found they had arbitrarily decided to close the store that day, with no warning or contact from uBreakifix. Went back the next day to find the store open, but no work had been done on my phone after 2 days. When I questioned why nothing had been done, the representative yelled, "I AM NOT GOING TO BE ABUSED." Very unprofessional and off-putting. Have spent considerable time on the phone with their "help center" but they offer no help, just empty apologies. Makes me want to move away from Verizon if this is who customers are forced to use for warranty repairs. Would give 0 stars, if possible. read more

If I had known what an absolute headache and pain in the ass this company would be, I NEVER would have taken my iPad here for a screen repair. When I dropped off the iPad LAST MONTH, they said it would take a week and a half for the repair. Not an issue, that's standard time for anyone in the area. They quoted me $187, and I waited for a call. I got a call on November 8th saying the iPad was ready for pickup. I drove over to pick it up in the late afternoon, they handed me a pink iPad that was locked. It was not my iPad. When I pointed out that it wasn't mine, they weren't apologetic or did anything to assure me this isn't a normal occurrence for them. They looked around the store for a couple minutes and told me they would have to look for it and would call me the next day. They never called me. So I called the next day, which is when I was told by another employee that he was the one who replaced the screen (more on that shit job later), he said he completed the screen and it "must have gotten mixed up in the incomplete pile and sent to federal way" (do they not use ANY sorting systems? Even if he did complete it, how hard is it to put it in a bag with a tag or something?) he said he would call me me back by the end of the day. Guess what? No call again. Then I decided to go into the store since no one calls me back. At that point he got on the phone to federal way and said the federal way manager didn't come in til Tuesday, so he would call me back on Tuesday to let me know if it was there, and I asked numerous times, are you going to call me back? And he said yes. Nope! In fact when I called in on Wednesday, he said I actually wasn't working yesterday. He said he was calling them then and would call me back shortly. Apparently, they don't keep ANY notes in the account cause there were no notes in my account and they were confused which store I dropped it at, and he suggested I call federal way.... Even though they said they would call federal way since it's they sent it there. This time he did call me back asking for my iPad passcode,....which I gave them when I turned in the iPad. I'm not sure if they just have Rubbermaid totes filled with peoples iPads there, if it's the Wild West, or what. But McDonald's has better tracking systems for fries than this shop does with thousands and thousands of dollars in tech. Then, I heard nothing back for the rest of the week, so I called on Friday and he told me that it's at federal way after asking for the passcode ANOTHER time said they found it there. Then I was told to drive to federal way or we can ship it back to tacoma,... at this point I don't trust them to even breathe near it,... so I drove to pick it up Sunday. In the meantime this is my work iPad, I need it for my job. My boss was upset it was gone so long, and I work construction so all of these follow up phone calls and having to do all this back and forth was difficult working 50+ hours a week. I let them know numerous times this is my work iPad, and they didn't seem concerned at all. I did get my iPad back and there are fingerprints and lint under the screen. I wish I was joking. I don't even want to talk to these guys ever again let alone figure out how to get this fixed. Stay so far away from this place. Not once did they apologize or do anything to try to make this right. I'd trust a junkie on the street corner with my iPad before ubreakifix. I hope you don't ever have to deal with their shitshow. read more

on May 20th 2023, I took my malfunctioning laptop into ubreakifix on Tacoma Mall boulevard to get a diagnosis. after not hearing from ubreakifix for 5 days. I tried calling them repeatedly. no one picked up. there was no voicemail. I called support. talked to a support agent named lisa, who got back in touch with me later and said she could not reach anyone at the store. on June 5th I plan on picking up my laptop and finding another computer repair store. read more

Came in today and was very happy to see a woman at the front counter. She was very kind and was sympathetic about my brand new phone being damaged beyond repair. She was could tell almost immediately that my phone couldn't be repaired, it would just need to be replaced. I didn't catch her name but she was seriously so lovely! I called down to see if the store could help me repair my son's drone. I was assured they would do their best and if needed would reach out to other stores to leverage the knowledge of other repair specialist. I was told they would quote the repair and if they couldn't repair it they would suggest some next steps for me to take. With that I decided to take it in and dropped it off on a Wednesday. I was told that I would have a response by that Friday. After not having heard anything by early the following week I called to check in. I was told they were busy and behind schedule but would have an answer by that Friday (a week late). I didn't hear anything and on the following Monday I called again. I was told again by the technician thstthey were busy but that he would prioritize the evaluation and call me back by the end of the day. I waited until Wednesday and still didn't hear back, so again I called. I was told they hadn't started and told me my best option was just to pick it up and find someone else to fix it. The person I spoke with said they didn't have time or anyone who specialized on drone repairs. I requested the manager and when connected I was told they didn't have the staff (due to a bunch of people quitting) or the internal repair knowledge for this project and that I should come get my drone. read more

I cannot express just how very helpful these people are. They diagnosed and fixed my out-of-production phone within 2 days, and when something went wrong with the repair, they fixed THAT free of charge. Brought my son's Nintendo Switch in for a repair recently because he said that it was "drifting". After paying the $99 fee ($110.19 with tax) I was assured that it would be fixed before the end of the day. Well, that didn't happen. Then when I finally did get it back (the next day) it was actually working worse than what I had originally brought it in there for. Volume control didn't work, I couldn't calibrate the controls for the entire left side of the Switch, amongst other issues. I then explained my dissatisfaction with the repair, and I was told for another $99 (plus tax) they could repair the other issues I was now experiencing. Ummm how about fixing it correctly the first time?! These people are criminals and I will never bring any of my electronics into their business again. Additionally, I will tell all of my friends and family to do the same. I want my $110.19 immediately reimbursed to my account or I may be forced to consider obtaining legal action. read more
