I am extremely disappointed with the service I received at the uBreakiFix - Mills Civic Pkwy location. I initially brought my laptop in for a broken screen and paid a $57 diagnostic fee. I was told the screen could be replaced with full touchscreen functionality if I paid the higher price of $321, which I agreed to. The touchscreen worked intermittently for about three months. After repeated issues, I took the laptop to a nationally well known repair company for a full diagnostic. They determined that there was no proper driver installed to support touchscreen functionality, and that the touchscreen hardware installed was not compatible with my computer and never should have been installed. I returned to the Mills Civic Pkwy location multiple times--four visits total. Each time, the touchscreen would work briefly (2-3 days) and then fail again. Eventually I requested a refund under the 1 year warranty and was directed to Asurion. Asurion confirmed they could only reimburse me with approval from the Mills Civic Pkwy location. Despite providing an independent diagnostic report confirming the incorrect installation, I was repeatedly told to bring the laptop back again. Only after months of issues did they finally claim they would now install a new drive--raising serious questions about what had been done during prior visits. I ultimately lost all confidence in this location. I have had excellent experiences at the Ankeny uBreakiFix location for years, but the Mills Civic Pkwy store does not provide the same level of service or accountability. I strongly recommend avoiding the Mills Civic Pkwy location. read more

I turned in a screen repair claim for my cell phone and uBreakifix is the company who came to my location to fix my screen. Fast forward to the next day and my phone is completely unusable and had been flashed multiple times. I didn't have any complaints about the repair until my phone was completely unusable. After calling my cell provider, then Samsung, I was referred again to uBreakifix. I was told my phone needed new software (the phone was 5 months only and in perfect condition)? After uBreakifix had my phone for three hours (I was told this was a 10 minute fix) they called to say my phone was unable to be fixed and now no longer under warranty because it had been flashed too many times. RED FLAGS. Major concerns: damage done to phone and being passed off as something I did (flashing). The initial tech said his software was not functioning properly. Not being a tech person I trust other people, but when then blame shift to me for said flashing problem. Luckily my initial phone claim covered this damage; otherwise, uBreakifix was not offering any solutions to the damage. I could mail my phone to Samsung to resolve this issue, but I find this hardly a solution as there was no replacement or loaner offered in the meantime. My understanding is that unfortunately this is the only Samsung 'store' in my area. Thankfully I have never needed this serviced and hopefully I won't need it in the future! read more

Super nice. Easy to set up the appointment but had to call the corporate toll free number to change the appointment time. Drew was great. Introduced himself took a look at the laptop quickly diagnosed both hinges as needing replaced, gave us an estimate. Unfortunately we couldn't leave the laptop for a two week diagnostic. If it lasts through the rest of school we will definitely consider iBreakUFix as our first repair option. read more

A month ago I got my screen replaced and after it was done, my volume buttons were stuck and my phone was making a weird sound when i pressed on it. When I went back in they told me it was my fault because I put it in my Jean pocket and sit on it. Shortly after I had a huge black dot develop and went back in and they told me to submit another claim. I then decided to go in a third time and complain. I luckily got Phil and he said new management took over on 6/2. Phil was absolutely amazing and did everything to help. The new management was already 100 times better than any help I had received before. read more

It wasn't great that no employees or customers were wearing masks, but when I explained from the doorway that I lived with someone at high risk, they actually came outside to talk to me about the problem. I Brought in my ps4 to get it cleaned it was working perfectly fine just a little noisy so I thought I'd go get it cleaned, then two days later i get a call saying it won't turn on and they tried to put the blame on me saying Ive opened it before, would not recommend anyone getting anything fixed there the associates are untried and unprofessional this should never happen to anyone.
