I was forced to visit Asurion due to a Google warranty repair related to echoes heard by the other party during phone calls on Pixel 6a. Although I am still fighting with Google for this warranty claim, I appreciate Asurion's professional and human role in this process. Due to Google's work order process, Asurion had my phone for a month, during which time all it could do was to replace the battery, something that even the most technologically-challenged person would know to be unrelated. brought my iPhone 8 to see if they could fix the charger port, as the cable would fall out, especially when I was driving and using my phone for directions. Jusn checked out the port with a microscope and said he could see there was debris in the port. He blew it out with his high powered air compressor, and when he brought it back out, the charger literally snapped into place in the port. He charged me nothing for this service. First of all, Do Not bother to fill out the " Select your device to get started" form, on their website, I n their own words "It means nothing" . As I walked in I noticed a hand written sign , on the door, that read " We no longer accept cash as payment" Huh? They don't accept cash? UbreakiFix Was the only repair place that could give me a price without having to keep it for 48 hours to inspect it. I have them the model # and they ordered the part. I went to their store at 6pm last evening with a cracked screen on my iPhone. I was told they were closing in an hour and could not repair my phone in that timeframe. Today I just left IFIX in Wayne, and in less than 10 minutes they repaired my phone, gave me a warranty, at a lesser price then I was quoted. Huge disappointment. I go to drop my device off curbside and have to listen to a 10 minute sales pitch. Part of the sales pitch was that if I signed up for their monthly program at $25/month I could get an estimate immediately if not however, it could take days. I declined the membership and dropped off the device. The next day I called for an update. Again I was given the sales pitch and again I declined. Annoyed at this point, I told them I changed my mind and would be in to pick up the device. Low and behold they suddenly had an estimate ready for me. I do not recommended anybody to come to this place for a repair. I had a cracked screen that needed to be fixed as soon as possible and I made the mistake of calling this place. I walked in and asked them to fix it....all they had to do was replace my screen right? I mean that's what I had other places do in the past with absolutely no issues. 1,2,3 done. Well here at uBreakiFix they were trying to tell me that my home button would have to be replaced because of the wiring in my phone??? I have never once in my life encountered such a horrible experience other then here. I don't understand how I have had a horribly shattered screen before & nobody has ever told me they had to open up my phone and replace a home button? I tried telling this guy that it is a trade in and I can't risk having anything different with this phone because at&t will not accept my phone back. Did he care? Absolutely not. I got so frustrated that I told this guy to stop what he was doing and let me call AT&T. I spoke to a manager I'm very close with in Hackensack and he told me to get the hell out of there and go to apple they will not only do it for the same price (WHICH I GOT CHEAPER) but they wouldn't be replacing anything other then my screen. He got on the phone with the guy who worked here and told him to close my phone up and send me on my way and to no longer work on my phone. Now obviously the guy who works here looked pretty pissed off (understandable) but I was even more pissed off that they can't handle a simple situation. I'm so thankful I went to apple and got my phone fixed there because it saved my phone from possibly being damaged more. Have a lenovo YOGA touchscreen laptop. Dropped and smashed the screen. Contacted this westwood NJ location and they said they couldnt obtain the part themselves but would install it Found the part online and brought everything in.
