After the location in lake Forest didn't have the screen protector in place I had to find another location that could help me. I gave this place a call and they confirm that I can walk in since they have everything they needed to repair my Samsung Z-Fold 5. After 30 minutes my phone was ready to go and it looked pretty much brand new. It cost about $30 to replace the protector. Good job guys. Please look up HOW TO KEEP PHONE WITH BULGING BATTERY SAFE. this shop didn't tell me how to. Luckily nothing bad happened cuz I was very careful but it could have been a very dangerous situation!!! If you store it incorrectly, for example in a sealed container, the released gasses can build up and cause the battery to burn up. I did not end up getting my phone fixed here because they made a mistake. Here's what happened. I thought I could trust them because they are the only official repair shop that works with Google. I had a pixel 3a phone that had a bulging battery. They said they could do it but need to wait 1.5 weeks for them to order the battery. Didn't even ask me for my name, no way to confirm they will order the new battery for me. They barely offer any useful advice on how what to do with the phone while waiting. Just told me don't try to remove the battery and leave it turned off. After 2 weeks of waiting for them to contact me I called and the guy said sorry, their new staff made a mistake they can only order pixel 6a or newer pixel stuff. But he said if I order the battery myself I can bring it in to get it replaced. I decided to go somewhere else because I didn't trust they would do a good job. And I was really upset because I delayed fixing my phone for 2 weeks because of them. My phone battery had started to get smelly, meaning leak gases. I was so worried it was too late to fix it. It has a lot of sentimental value!! Luckily i was able to get it fixed at a different, small, not well-known but very friendly repair shop. But I still wanted to write a review here to warn people of the very poor customer service here. read more

I usually don't write reviews, but my experience with this store was so negative that I felt I had to share. I brought my PlayStation in for repairs. The technician said the issue was with the liquid metal and that he replaced it. When I got home, my PlayStation still had the exact same problem. I took it back, and the technician told me there wasn't much else he could do -- but suggested I sign up for their monthly program. He explained that after 30 days, I could make a claim and "if they can't fix it, they replace it." That promise is what convinced me to sign up. I waited the full 30 days, only to be told that they couldn't repair or replace it because the issue existed before I signed up for the membership. So what was the point of selling on the membership if all I wanted was to have my PlayStation at least looked at? I felt scammed and that was a huge waste of time and money. read more

I brought my laptop here to replace a shattered screen. The LCD was still working fine, so I just needed the glass replaced. Unfortunately, the whole experience left me frustrated and without my main device for two weeks during the school term. After a week with no updates, I called and was told they had ordered the wrong part (a 30-pin screen). They assured me the correct part had been ordered, but that took another week to arrive. In the end, they said the new screen didn't work and claimed it "might be a motherboard issue." That explanation didn't make sense--my old screen still powered up and worked perfectly. To me, it seemed more likely that they simply couldn't source the right part for my older model rather than there being a real hardware problem. Overall, the process felt drawn out, the communication was lacking, and I lost the use of my primary school laptop for two stressful weeks with nothing resolved. Please do not take your devices to this place and if absolutely necessary please use it as a last resort. It's unprofessional to not update your customers after your 5 day "fix" period. You can call and no one can give you an update. Everyone is not on the same page. We took our son's tablet in and on a Friday 9/26. We received misinformation that it would be ready on Tuesday 9/30. We tired calling and decided to just show up. The new associate was incorrect on the provided date and never told us to it was business days. Well we waited and called on 10/3. We were assured we'd have a call on Saturday 10/4. Nothing. Decided to just go in again today because the calls were not picked up and to our wonderful surprise....the tablet cannot be repaired. Gave my PS5 on Friday May 30 for cleaning, the probable answer for the widespread problem of abrupt shut-off when playing a game. They told me it will be $75.00 and it will be available Monday or Tuesday, June 2-3 and that they will give me a call when it is ready or to give updates. It is now Friday, June 6th and I still haven't received my PS5 and since the day I gave it to them (May 30th), I have never received a call if it was ready or to update me on why it's not. Terrible customer service. They rarely answer the phone during their working hours and when they do, you are put on hold without talking to somebody and you waste 10 or 20 minutes and nobody ever returns to the phone. Call back, and it goes to voicemail, which they do not return. When I finally did talk to somebody, they told me to come in at opening to get my screen repaired same day under warranty. Google lists my specific phone as being under warranty due to a known manufacturer defect with my model, and it says available for same day screen replacement. Since I also verified this over the phone with the store after a lot of effort, it was beyond frustrating to show up and be told that they could not do it and that I needed to mail my phone to Google. This had nothing to do with the condition of my phone (which is excellent) and rather their store policy, which they should have told me over the phone instead of misleading me and causing me to waste all of my time. Another location has said they can do it same day later this week at no charge. read more

The Bristol location was closest to my home. Went there at 10:05 a.m., 5 minutes after they were supposed to open. They were closed. I waited an hour in the parking lot and no one arrived. Another customer parked next to me. He was there to pick up an item that was supposed to take 5 days but took 2 weeks due to various lame excuses. Come back 3 days later and wouldn't ya know it's not done and they need another day, again and again and again this happens until it's 2 weeks later and I'm finally able to get my item back. 2. The worst of all uBreakiFix locations in this area. I generally have decent luck with uBreakiFix when it comes to repairing Samsung phones. I've been to the one in Newport and El Toro with zero issues. This location though is poorly managed and seems to be full of incompetence. Making an appointment is useless as they won't arrange to make sure they have the part in stock for your appointment. Sure they will call you and ask about which phone you're repairing, and they will SAY they will set the part aside for your appointment. But when your appointment comes - they may have used it on a different repair and not bothered with ordering the replacement. They also do a poor job with the actual repair. Not 3 days after my repair was complete, the phone was already coming apart. Meaning I had to go back a third time just to get it fixed properly. They will also give you the wrong quotes and bad advice. If you don't follow up constantly and demand updates, they'll just do whatever they want and charge whatever they feel like. If you're repairing a Samsung phone - look up the actual repair costs on Samsung's site before talking to them. Mine was supposed to be $119 and they tried to charge me $149. When I pointed out the error upon picking up my phone, they tried to charge me $159. If you're in the area - go to any other location. This location is poorly run compared to the others. read more

Plus I had good prior experiences with other "uBreakiFix" shops. One thing I will say... the new battery seems to be working fine, but the tech didn't reset Apple service notification (in battery settings) - that's one neg star. THEN I had to make two additional/unnecessary trips to the location (I live 20 minutes away) b/c of miscommunication - they sent a msg for pick-up but my computer wasn't ready - one neg star for each trip. Plus the "tech" at the desk reminded me of that sloth character in "Zootopia" - but I wasn't laughing, but I'm also not knocking off another star b/c maybe the dude was having a bad day, yunno? Not good for smart watch repair, especially since they're an authorized repair facility for Samsung. I had a problem with my Samsung Gear S3 Frontier watch in that it would not hold a charge for more than 8 hours. When I took it in, they said that it needed a new battery, which would cost $150 it should be in by Tuesday, and they would call me by Wednesday. I paid them a $75 deposit and waited. Friday arrived with no call so I called them. They said that it was ready but they couldn't find my repair order. When I picked it up, I tried to turn it one and it wouldn't activate. They said that the battery was dead and they didn't have a charger for it. (How can you call yourself a repair facility if you lack even the basic tools to check your work?) I took it home and it charged and appeared to operate until I started an app and could not return to the home screen (main watch face) because the "return" button was not working. I took it back on Saturday and they said they would look at it and get back to me. They called me and said that the watch had water damage and I asked them to leave it open so I could see. The tech pointed to something in the watch, but I could not identify it as water damage. He said that the seal was still in place. This is unusual because (from the web page) "³This device passed military specification (MIL-STD-810G) testing against a subset of 10 specific conditions, including drops from 4.9 feet, extreme temperatures, dust, shock/vibration, and low pressure/high altitude. Water- and dust-resistance based on IP68 rating (water-resistant in up to 5 feet of water for up to 30 minutes). Rinse residue/dry after wet. See user manual for more details." It has never been submerged and may have had some water splashed on it or been in a little rain. I asked him to just put it back together for me, assuming that it would still turn on and would be usable. Again, with no charger at the location, he said that the battery was dead. The watch does use wireless charging and any charging pad should have been enough to charge it. When I got it home and put it on the charger, the red charge light started blinking, indicating a problem. I left it on the charger but it never charged and won't charge or even turn on. Each time I took the watch in, it came back to me in worse condition than when I brought it in. Not a great experience and I'm not looking forward to dealing with them again. read more
