I would be exhausted in the morning and feel somewhat moody due to my lack of sleep. I tried changing my pre sleep habits and honeopathic methods on my own but never really got relief. I came here without insurance coverage for a sleep study to see Dr. Scrima. Sonia, the office manager gave me a huge discount since my sleep study and visits would be out if pocket... I have never had that offered to me at any other Doctors office! The office is very cosy, so when you are there for your study you feel totally at home ( unlike the very hospital like rooms i have seen before). They have a shower and kitchen area with breakfast and snacks available for you too. The sleep tech who helped to fit me with all the devises and electrodes was very funny and personable. Everything was fully explained to me and I never felt silly asking questions, Dr. Scrima and his staff really seemed to enjoy their jobs and i genuinely felt they cared for me and my concerns. I fell asleep quicker than i usually do, but i am pretty sure its because the room was nice and dark and the office was very quiet and homey. In the morning I was able to shower and get ready there before heading into work. Dr. Scrima had the results of my sleep study very quickly and diagnosed me with several sleep disorders including restless legs, insomnia, and apnea. He recommended i be prescribed a sleeping pill which in non habit forming, allows REM sleep, and leaves you feeling rested in the am...i had taken other sleeping aids in the past but always felt groggy in the am. He explained it is due to them not producing REM sleep. He also discussed the other diagnoses and recommendations treat them. I only take the sleeping pill as needed and in following his other instructions i have found i am getting far longer hours of quality sleep. It has elevated my mood, my memory, and my performance at work and in school. I am very grateful for the knowledgable and caring staff and for Dr . Scrima's expert diagnoses, treatment, and advice. I will be a life long patient!

There are several other sleep centers that offer zero consultation and charge the same price or cheaper for Botox shots and you don't have to deal with their attitude either. They try to take advantage of your desperation and try to get you to pay that money, but the Botox shots are already going to be expensive. They are also charging more for Botox shots than most other places. Do not go to this place. I've also researched this place in the actual Doctor has had a few complaints on him. Do not go here. They do not know what they are doing, and they are charging too much and their receptionist has a bad attitude!

Wife had some TMJ work done there including some mouthpieces in early September. All of the…read moreclinical and mouthpiece work was fine. My wife's jaw is improved and we are happy for that. At the time of the appointments, my wife was told that she would need to pay about $5000 up front and they would submit the claims to insurance. That is not unexpected and we were happy to do that. They are out-of-network for our insurance but our insurance likely still pays for a big chunk of the treatment. We proceeded because they told us they would take care of getting the claims in and, quoting from the treatment consent, "claims to your insurance will be itemized and billed at the insurance fee rate." We were told they would be submitting the claim within a couple days of the appointments. By early October, nearly a month later, we'd heard nothing from them or our insurance company about the claim. My wife called and was told, in effect, "oops the first claim didn't go through and we'll resubmit again right now." A month after that, in early November, we still had heard nothing so I contacted them again via the contact form on their website, because I wanted further communication in writing. No response. Yesterday a claim showed up on our insurance company website saying that they had not received required information from the provider. So I called our insurance company to get help understanding what that meant. It turns out that our insurance company had sent them at least two, and likely three, requests -- one each in September, October, and November -- for additional information in order to process the claim. They never responded to my insurance company and an agent from my insurance company had to call them (with me on hold) to find out what was going on. This really isn't acceptable. I've disputed the charge with my credit card company because TMJ Therapy & Sleep Center of Colorado did not complete what it committed to doing. Once they complete their end of the process and submit the information requested by the insurance company, and our insurance company reviews the claim and determines what the coverage is, I will happily lift the dispute and settle the account based on the amount the insurance company pays and what the insurance company rates are for this type of work. The lack of communication, follow-through, and service is disappointing. Being able to complete the claims process is table stakes for being in a business like this. I'd encourage others to proceed carefully and set aside time to stay on top of them.

I was on a bad saga of health care providers and thanks to Sound Clinic I am pain-free and can now avoid spinal surgery. Feb 2021: Doing a yoga pose, I ended up in the ER after my back spasmed. June 2021-Sep 2021: More limited function. Got a MRI that showed disc degeneration and was referred to a spinal surgeon and he was zero help. Dec 2021: Injured my back again. I was recommended to try steroid shots before going into surgery. I did four steroid shots and was in extreme sciatic pain radiating down my left leg. April 2022: Had a spinal surgeon on the calendar before I listened to myself and decided to pursue something more sacrum related as the pain was really coming from this area and not where the disc herniation was located. All symptoms pointed towards a sacrum injury meanwhile the spinal doctors disagreed with me and said my sacrum pain was coming from stenosis. On a late night Google search, I found Shawn Naylor's name buried onto another review and set up an appt. They got me in at the end of April and there were no shenanigans. He gave me prolozone at the same appointment and two days later I was walking pain free again. Later, it was diagnosed that my issues had come from a collapsed left arch that led to a crooked sacrum. Imagine this: Couldn't walk for four months more than 5 minutes to walking as long as I'd like now Couldn't go to yoga from Feb 2021-April 2022 and am now going to yoga 1-2 times per week (taking it slow!) Couldn't pick up my two-year old son and can now lift him into the air Couldn't pick up heavy loads of groceries and have no limitations now. I believe Sound Clinic is progressive, listens to the patient and above all else, is willing to help in any way they can. Dr. Naylor also provided a kidney detox supplement that has helped me detox from NSAIDs that I was on for months, as well. I also think the reviews that critique the staff are unwarranted. It was the quickest staff and doctors and most on time office I've yet to visit.

In several cases NPs had to look things up on the internet while I was there, and in one case the NP didn't even know protocol for the basic blood panel I requested. I also can't say there's anything particularly "integrative" about this clinic aside from the fact that they sell supplements. There is a DO on staff, but that office seems pretty separate from the rest of the operation. I'm thankful to be moving and not working with these guys anymore.
