The service was great, I got my toes and fingers done for 160, they were very thorough with how the prepped and painted my nails. Only thing I would say is I gave them a design and I guess they couldn't do one of the designs on one nail and they decided to just change the design completely instead of telling me or asking me what I wanted or if I could choose another design, which I would have been happy to do. If you can't do something just let me know and I'll change it, but other than that my experience was great. They have beverage choices and affordable nail prices! I've been here a few times and I would go monthly but the prices have drastically changed. Gel used to be $35 then it was $55 and now I was told it is $80 so I left before getting any service done. I showed the manager that I only needed Gel no manicure and was still told it was $80. read more

they're small place but you get treated right away, usually wait time can be 5-10 varying on the day. i had my nails done twice here by Matt and he's incredible . i always do full set of short nails and the cost is $60 minimum which is affordable! i recommend this place if you're looking for something plain, simple or intermediate designs. 9/10 for the place, environment and quality read more

I came to the nail salon today for pedicure and manicure. I requested Jennie to do my nails and my toes. She is so nice and taking her time. She also pay attention to detail. She cut my cut my cuticles very clean. She is also cute and make me feel so happy. She made my day. I love her so much. I will see her next week before holiday. Was able to be seated right away on a Saturday afternoon. Lisa did a nice basic pedicure, although my toenails are not exactly even. Michael then did the dip on my fingernails. In my experience, this was not the best dip. He used the rough bit on the dremel tool instead of the fine one that othet salons usually use. He also only dipped in the color 2.75 time (one full color dip, one 3/4 of the nail, then another full dip) where othet salons typically do 3-4 full. The shape is what I asked for, extra rounded square, but there was no thin filing done under the nail so I am still picking out bits that were stuck to my skin (my nails were really short). Also, a day later I am noticing not a very tapered filing on the sides either. This place is great for a thirty buck basic pedicure. Make an appointment though - even though I was able to sit down right away, several walkins after me had to wait as the clients kept flowing in. read more

WORST EXPERIENCE AT A NAIL SALON EVER! I went in as a new customer and got a gel pedicure. When I left I noticed the polish job wasn't good and there was many air bubbles and bumps in the polish, but I was going to just leave it alone and not go through the hassle of coming back in until a day later the gel polish cracked. I paid extra for gel for it to last! So I came back in and asked only for the big toe to be redone. The manager looked at my toes and saw for himself the horrible job that was done and offered to re paint all of the toes because of the awful paint job. To fix the crack, he put acrylic only on one big toe. Now my big toes looked uneven because one had acrylic and one did not! I asked him to put it on both to even then out and he said he'd charge me! So I told him to just do acrylic on the one big toe. Then the next day after I left the gel polish cracked AGAIN on the big toe without the acrylic. I came in a second time to have the big toe with the cracked gel fixed and the manager started arguing with me! An employee already begun to take off the cracked gel polish and was going to put the acrylic on my big toe but told me AFTER she already removed the gel polish that she would have to charge me to fix it! Then I said it's ok just do it without the acrylic and the manage started yelling at me and told me to "get out"!! The manager is a man and he is RUDE and provides awful customer service! The sign on their door that says "we will happily fix any issues with gel services" is a LIE! Never come to this nail salon. This is how they let me walk out! With my toes looking like this! read more

I made an appointment online for a manicure and pedicure, when I showed up for my appointment there was a sign on the door that said they are closed for a family emergency. No one tried to contact me to let me know that they were closed and would not be able to take my appointment. When I called them they answered immediately so they clearly had the time to at least call and let me know before I drove all the way here at the time of my appointment. The light up signs in the window were on making it look like the business was open. read more

Went in for a quick pedicure, and I had an older gentleman do my nails. He poked me with the cuticle cutters and tried to do the same spot until I told him "please don't do that." Then got regular nail polish and he's not very good about polishing nails, polish was lumpy and not smoothed out on toes. He didn't file the nails very well either. Big toes were crooked with sharp edges. Would not recommend going there. read more

TLDR: trust the process and the people they know what they're doing! I'm not one to get my nails done often. I was a little nervous coming here especially after the last nail place I went to really botched up my nail shape and French tips. I decided to come to Ugly Duck Nail Spa after reviewing some nail designs posted on their Instagram. Going in I didn't know what to expect or to get. After making my appointment and showing up, one of the technicians asked me what I wanted and all I showed them was this reference picture. The guy who greeted me sat me down with Michael. Michael was absolutely fabulous! He took a few looks at the design and swiftly went to work. Mind you I never got acrylic before (usually a gel or dip type of girl) but Michael's technique and skill have changed my mind. At each step of the process, Michael was always asking my opinion to see if he needed to adjust anything and giving me tips on what he think would look better for me. After talking everything through and adjusting the original inspo pic to my preference, he came up with a great design. I love how these turned out and would definitely recommend this place to anyone. It's a smaller shop but it's clean and the staff are friendly! My complaint is that I do have a few cuts on 3 fingers where he cut too much off my cuticle. No bleeding but cuts non the less. For anyone curious to what I got it was a full set for $75 before tip. read more

Went to get my acrylic nail set removed. Environment was shitty. Got a employee sleeping on the massage chair and the guy doing my nails playing on his phone. Also it hurt so bad and took way too long. Nail removal shouldnt take 30 mins. Recommend going down street to Kimmys nails. Not coming back. read more

Called to see if I could get a Gel Mani-Pedi appt and was hoping to get Sandy again. I asked if she…read morewas available within 1/2 an hour and they initially said yes but minutes later called to see if I could come 45 minutes later and that was fine. I got there on time and checked in and they gave me some nail swatches to look thru. After a few minutes, they sat me in a Pedi chair. I continued looking at the swatches and saw Sandy still doing a Pedicure. I turned on the massager on the chair and just chilled out. When she finally got to me, we exchanged pleasantries because it had been awhile since I last saw her. She's very friendly, kind and personable. I like to develop relationships with my Self-Care peeps and it's important to me that they're engaging, talented and easy to get along with. Sandy is that type of person. She's fast and helps me out. I showed her my one broken nail that I told I kept trying to grow out but kept breaking and showed her my thin, scraggly nails. I told her I was trying to grow them out for months after I stopped using Dip Powders. She hooked me up and made them look pretty even if the nails weren't long. Kudos to her and thank you for not letting me feel embarrassed about the state of my toes and nails, LOL!! She'd just say "It's okay! I'll take care of you!" :-)

I had just…read morehad my second baby three months prior and was really looking forward to my first outing without my kids needing anything from me. With busy schedules, I found a day that worked for everyone and booked my appointment. I arrived about an hour early so I could enjoy the hot tub before my massage. I was also planning to take advantage of the spa amenities afterward and grab lunch at one of the restaurants. About 10 minutes before my appointment, I put on my robe and headed to the waiting area. As my appointment time came and went, I watched every other guest get called back for their massages while I continued to wait. After another 10 minutes had passed, I finally went to the front desk to ask what was going on. The manager came out and informed me that there had been a miscommunication and my massage therapist was unable to make it to work that day. Unfortunately, there were no other therapists available and no alternative appointment times. I was simply told they were sorry and that I would need to reschedule. At that point, I broke down in tears. This wasn't just a massage, it was my birthday gift and my first opportunity to step away from the chaos and demands of postpartum life. Having that experience taken away without any notice was incredibly disappointing. To their credit, they did offer me a complimentary massage whenever I am able to rebook, which I appreciated and accepted. However, this was a very disappointing first impression. A simple phone call before I arrived could have saved me the time, effort, childcare arrangements, and emotional letdown.
