Came here for a pedicure. Left at 10AM. By 8PM the same day half of my toes were chipped off partially. Completely baffled by this, I've gotten a million pedis over the years and never had this happen. Would not recommend this salon. Annoying as well: hours online do not match store hours. Came to have them fixed (Sunday) and they are closed. Have to go elsewhere to have the entire process redone and pay $$ again.
This was my first time visiting this nail salon, but I needed my nails done for a trip and they did an amazing job! Survived 16 long hours in Vegas and still holding up strong and looking awesome a week after xD Will definitely be coming back!
My new nail place! Kept giving the place by my house try after try . Read the review here and did a walk in. She did such a great job, extremely happy with her work. These were $60 not including tip. Wasn't offered a beverage but I came with a coffee. I believe her name was Dao, First Lady on the right!
I drive all the way here just for the service because Helen and Denise are the most thorough professionals in the industry. Helen is gentle with my feet and had an eye for detail while Dense provides me with lasting quality nails that I am not so gentle in. If you want quality then make sure and give them your business!
Horrible experience. I've tried to make multiple appointments and every time they tell me "Call back tomorrow because she's gone for the day"....It does not matter what time of the day I call, she's never there. I finally was able to make an appointment, and she was a no show. I was told that she was coming back from Houston and was stuck in traffic. What I don't understand is why they let me sit there for 25 minutes and tell me she was on her way...when they knew she was in Houston. They should not advertise eyelash extensions if they only have one person who does them, and she's never at work.

I'm outdoorsy and very hard on my hands, but these dip manicures have lasted more than four weeks! I've been to them three times. I tried another place, but I quickly realized I'd made a mistake and went back to L'amour. I won't stray again.

Despite me not getting exactly what I wanted and other issues I must say that my nails are lasting a long time It has been 3 week almost and I still get complaints. Henry was able to result the issues and showed that he really cares about his customers. There was some strange cracking within the powder itself but it seems to be intact even with that. I would still suggest Henry to others. Good long lasting nails. I'm not sure if they do fill ins on dip set. Maybe they can answer that for us.
As pictured, I had an accident at work and my nails broke off. I was out of town, and my usual salon was not open. I am a busy gal. I work late hours and I wanted to make sure my trip would not be wasted so I called ahead before going. The customer service was awesome, I was able to be seen that same evening! Thank you for fixing me up and getting my nails back on point
I've never left a nail review before because I've never been this happy with my gel manicure. Tom did an excellent job. I came in and asked for a "natural" nail color and he immediately picked out the color and showed me a sample on his own nail. I was also so impressed with the cuticle care and the way Tom took his time and really paid attention to detail. I will be going back again. I've finally found my favorite nail place.
I always come here to get my nails done. It's really hard to find a very good nail tech but going to L'Amour is always easy. I always go to Henry for my acrylic sets and he never disappoints. I decided to try this nail salon on a whim, and it didn't disappoint. I got lucky the first day I went in and Henry was available to do my nails. I sat down and prayed that they would come out right & they were better than expected. I went in for short square and French tips, and Henry simply told me no and suggested I do almond nails. I never did that before and was very worried that it wouldn't look good on my hand, but I decided to follow his suggestions he listen carefully to what I wanted and suggested something that would fit that. Every time I go to see Henry I always come out happier than I went in. He never lets me settle for anything too boring and because of my job I can't have two fun with my nails, so he always make sure that my nails look really good but stay neutral and short. Today I decided I'd go in and stand my ground. Lol I said today "I'm going completely square nails, super short and I want French Henry!" he said OK lol. By the time he was filling my nails he already had a plan in mind and said, "let's do valentine nails." I knew once he said this he already had. A vision in mind, so I said "ok just keep it neutral for work." And Boom, square nails with valentines theme in full effect! And I love them way more than French nails for sure. If you haven't already, try them out. Ask for Henry and if you're going on the weekend definitely make an appointment. He has lots of clients! He's great at shaping and designing and I always get great pedicures from the other staff members. My nails last me almost a month before I go see him, but to keep em looking good I go every two weeks. So I'll see ya there ;)
I'll provide what I asked for and what I got I asked prior to getting my set if they could do this one, and then a simple French with a heart accent finger very plain, they assured me they could achieve the shape and design. I'm very picky with my nail shape and design but I'm visiting San Antonio and decided to try this nail salon. it's alright, the pedicure I got was perfect but I suppose it's hard to mess up plain white. the staff is nice they're quiet which allows you to be able to handle any work if need be. overall not a bad experience.
Went for them to fix my nails, as I had some acrylic ones already and didn't like the job they had done. I asked for a pedicure, which was poorly done. She did take off my nails and made them shorter and added another color, gel. Horrible job. She was doing it so fast, but not even being efficient. They had people in line, and only one lady and a guy doing nails, so she definitely rushed through it. I made an appointment for a reason. My nails were painted so bad, I think they're worse than before. $30 dollars for "manicure" and gel? There was no manicure.

The people are friendly, so was the nail stylist but I was not fully satisfied with the service. I dont like that they dont tell you upfront how much of a difference it is going to be from the price initially discussed if you add certain things the stylists suggests. I also left with something I did not want and was charged $85 for it. Not a very good experience. I guess I'll have to be more cautious next time smh read more

the service was good and everything but the younger gentleman scraped under my toe so hard it left me with open skin and i didn't rlly even know the pain was that pain till the day after when i tried to walk and it just hurts so bad. read more

So when I went in I was immediately placed with someone. I had to get my acrylics soaked off and wanted a pedicure as well. Pedicure went fine except jagged. When he went to cut my cuticles he cut very deep into my left hand. He then did not attempt to file my nails even though I asked multiple times. The paint was streaky as well. Not going there again and will get my nails fixed once it heals. read more

Got my nails done here last Saturday with my mother. Henry did mine and he was recommended by a friend. I let him know what I wanted... I SPECIFICALLY SAID I WANTED THEM THICK SINCE I WEIGHT TRAIN. He says to me if you have any problems within your the week I will fix them for free. Well they weren't thick at all (they were the thinnest they've ever been for being thick) how do I know two of them broke on Wednesday evening. I called they were closed. Thursday they were closed. I called at least ten times on Friday and Saturday and whoever answered said he wasn't there. It's Sunday and they are closed. I spent $110 that day for services. and my nails look like utter crap... press on nails last longer than what I paid for. read more

I don't think I've ever been to a nail salon and actually LOVED the outcome...until now. I got exactly what I wanted, I was out in under an hour, and it was only $45! I'll be happily spending my money here from now on. read more

I've lived in San Antonio for 2 years and this is the first place I've gone to that left me extremely satisfied! I am in love with my nails! Henry is an artist with his nail work! The shop is clean, quiet, & relaxing! Prices are amazing, you get so much included in prices, especially with pedicures! 100% recommend this salon! read more

Henry was awesome! I have pretty dry cuticles and most nail techs will never even say a word or will be pretty rude about it. Henry immediately noticed and offered some suggestions of products to try to help. He was super gentle and very considerate of my sensitive cuticles! Great conversation and very sweet! Used to be my old spot but will definitely keep going back now that they are under new management! He checked in with me multiple times to make sure I was happy with the shape and again when he started the color. I wish I could give them 10 stars! read more

Ombré nails pink to white with holographic powder added What I asked for (google screenshot ) compared to what I got!!! Great I am very satisfied. Charged quite a bit extra for the holographic which I wasn't expecting but overall great job!!! Got my toes holographic as well and I love the duo! read more

Got a regular pedicure and shellac on my fingers nails. My overall experience was really great, everyone was very friendly and it was a relaxing environment. However the girl who did my shellac could have done a better job. My cuticles and the shellac polish weren't cleaned up well. The shellac is overlapping some of my skin which can cause the shellac to lift over time. She did a better job on my pedicure, there was some polish on my skin that could have been cleaned off easily, but you can't do that with shellac once dried. read more

i'd like to start off by saying my middle finger nail fell off in middle school and grew back differently, like it doesn't look right. and when i called ... henry said they have openings right away !! i decided to get a full set bc it's only 25$?!??! and with my full set you can't even tell my nail bed was messed up will always recommend the atmosphere in there is dope as well ! very clean for covid ! thanks again ! it's a small business with him and his wife so pls go out to support small business during these tough times !! read more

Came by right after work to avoid traffic, so it was a last minute thing. Showed a pic of what I wanted to Denise and she did exactly how I wanted them! I was so impressed by how quick and attentive she was. The place gives a complimentary drink too, so that was an added bonus. Prices are about the same as other places. I spent $45 for these nails. It really is like finding a hidden gem. Definitely will be coming back. read more

The last week I had been doing projects that left my nails looking like a mess. The cuticles were out of control and they needed a good deep clean. I specified this. I even added that my nails will be inspected, because they are. It's not optional to half ass cleaning up the cuticles. I said 4 times to the tech and once to the guy who greeted me that I needed my cuticles and cleanliness to be the focal point and that they would be inspected. I STILL came out with half done work and when they REDID THE WHOLE THING I STILL CAME OUT WITH WORK TO DO MYSELF AT HOME. It was light handed, half assed, barely touched massage, and complete dissatisfaction. read more

I just recently moved to SA and I was desperately needing a refill for my acrylics. I was very nervous about trying any nail salon due to going to my favorite one back home in Kansas and I was honestly so impressed with this place of how clean and organized and how updated it was. My nail tech was the owner and was very nice and asked me questions about my nails and also mentioned to me that if my nails were to chip or break within 1 week to come back and they will fix it for free! I absolutely love the shape and color! Overall excellent experience. Definitely recommend and will be going back! read more
