It was the only good looking couch/futon thingy in the place. The furniture here is not "elegante," quite the opposite in fact, very dated looking. I'm not too thrilled that the management (owner?) charged me a full delivery charge to bring my couch literally across the street. The woman who took my order also seemed not to understand that I work during the day and could only get the delivery after 6pm. I told her when I placed the order, I saw her make a note of it, and then I had to tell her again when she called the day of the delivery at noon asking if I was home, then I had to deal with her attitude, acting like she was doing me a favor from delivering late in the day. It is ACROSS THE STREET. WTF LADY?? Then, to add insult to injury, I saw the same damn couch advertised $100 off about a month later. Overall, I'm happy with the purchase, the price was right, and if I'm in need for another piece of disposable furniture (unlikely), I'll probably go back.

I found a 5-drawer unit for only $120, no assembly required, and they delivered it the next day for only $20. The sales staff was very nice and easy-going (no high-pressure sales). I would definitely shop there again. If you can't find what you are looking for at Casa Elegante Furniture definitely check out the several discount stores on the west side of Third Avenue between 125th and 118th.
