Airport food and of course Uinta beer. We grabbed a two person table, and were pretty much ignored for a while (not good for an airport). finally grabbed someone's attention and each ordered a beer and shared an appetizer. Spouse's beer delivered, and the appetizer. My beer? Not so much, but the server just walked away. Took some time to get someone to attend to us again, and we picked slowly at the appetizer, as I wanted my beer. "Oh, that beer is sold out." No apology for not telling us before the food was served. In fact, the person started to simply walk away. "I do want a beer, or else I want you to take her beer and this appetizer away and not charge us." Oh, that elicited a "how dare you say that" type response. "Can you just bring me a beer?" I ordered a cheap one, about half the price of the one I'd originally ordered. They finally brought it out... cold appetizer, plane flight close, we ate it quickly. Then the bill. We were overcharged - they charged for the original beer, not the cheap one. They also added a tip themselves (as they probably knew they would get a very small one). That elicited a fairly strong protest from us, as a mandatory tip for two people is not policy, and why did they charge the original amount for a beer they did not have. We finally got a concession to remove both, once we talked to the manager, who also felt we were being "unreasonable", especially as they never gave us a corrected receipt. "Don't worry, we will charge you correctly..." (which they did, but refusal to give us a new receipt chafed). Still we left a tip (which after the fact I regret), as we always leave a tip, just smaller than the "mandatory" one they added. Not happy, not enjoyable, and they only get two stars because they eventually fixed the issue, but not without significant debate. read more

We are on visit to see my sister in salt lake. At the airport we had a bit of a layoff or so we thought we'd come and have a bear and some fries and just enjoy the ambience peryou're the ambience. So we looked across from where aircraft was taking off and we noticed the bar here and thought we would check it out. I'm in a wheelchair and we were a little concerned because of the way that it was crowded when we got here it would be difficult to find a table but they were kind enough to offerIt to us. It was very busy but we were sat in a couple minutes. Ordering was super easy - QR code where you could order throughout your time there. Our server (CC) was super friendly and made sure we got all of our items. The pretzel bites were super addicting (best I ever had) and we ended up ordering some to go to eat on our flight (but they're best served warm right from the kitchen). We also ordered Bloody Mary's and the Uinta Hazy IPA - both hit the spot! The place had plenty of TVs to watch the game - checking out was easy, everything is done through your phone. It is a pretty limited menu, which for some might be a downside but since I found something I liked it didn't bother me. I just got the burger and a hefeweizen. I asked for a Caesar salad with my burger and it came with fries instead. That was my only complaint, and actually it turned out okay because the fries were delicious! Whatever seasoning they use is great. The burger had good flavor too; nothing outstanding but certainly satisfying. I flew in and out of SLC airport this week and both times I ate at Uinta Brewing. The food is amazing, the absolute best airport dining experience I've had in all my years of business and personal travel. It's 10am so I'm having their breakfast burrito filled with CRISP bacon (that never happens), perfectly cooked eggs, hash browns, and my favorite tater tots on the side! Shocked by so many of the poor reviews on here! This is my GO TO in the B gates! Breakfast or lunch it never disappoints! The service is usually great, and the atmosphere is pretty quiet for an airport restaurant. I am a morning flight girlie so more often than not, I get breakfast here. When they have breakfast potatoes, definitely get the Breakfast Bowl and if it's when they have tots, definitely get the classic breakfast! So reasonably priced and so so good! read more
