I was heading back to Reno (from MSP) after spending a wonderful week with 3 High School friends paddling on the BWCA (Boundary Waters Canoe Area). I was flying Delta on points, which meant a relatively long layover in SLC. I was also beat, and was keen on fining a nice place to sit down and relax, hopefully with food and a beer. But first, I needed to walk to the next terminal and find my next departure gate. When I did, I immediately noticed Uinta Brewing just a short stroll away. The Brew Pub itself was probably a basic version of their main place Downtown, but I didn't care as seating was plentiful, and there was more than enough interesting food on the menu. And then of course, there was craft beer. The food was very good (a fancy salad as I remember), my IPA was cold and refreshing, and service was excellent. Maybe I'd have higher standards outside the Airport, but for what Uinta offered and what I wanted, it was a very good match. read more

The service was horrendous, the default tip amount is 22% and you have to pay and tip before you eat which I understand being at an airport. The threw my plate on the table and the waitress brought me a glass of tea. And neither never returned except to clean my table. I wasn't asked if I wanted more tea water or even a fork. I ordered a spicy chicken sandwich and it was out rather quickly, so you know it had been cooked much earlier and dipped in buffalo sauce. Horrible experience, but what to expect there is nothing else in terminal B! Wouldn't suggest eating here but not sure where I would suggest since there is not much else here! Wow. I'm shocked that Uinta has such low reviews on Yelp. However, I have yet to see an airport restaurant have even 3 stars, let alone anything higher. To be honest, my score would really be a 4.5 if we were allowed to do "half stars." I enjoyed my experience so much that I came here on back to back nights! My first night, I had just gotten off the plane on a work trip to SLC. It was dinnertime and I was hungry and I knew that by the time I walked out of the airport, waited on an Uber and got to the hotel, it would feel too late to eat dinner. Plus I had no idea where to go near my hotel--- this restaurant sounded like it would hit the spot especially since breweries are my fave! I was seated right away at the high top counter in the back and had room nearby for my rolling overnight suitcase. I quickly ordered a Hefeweizen and burger. I sat and read my book and my food came out quickly. The burger and fries really hit the spot! It was the perfect amount of food and I kinda already made up my mind that I'd come back the next day. Sure enough, the following day was a repeat. They were a little bit busier given the time (5p as opposed to 7p). But I was still seated right away and served the same delicious beer, burger and fries. Both times, the staff was efficient. The second time, my waitress was very friendly and was asking about my Apple Watch & making other conversation. Only reason that they are 4 stars is because they don't seem to have the full selection of beers here at this location. I looked on their website and there seems to be many others that I'd love to try if given the chance. I also didn't see the option for a beer flight (which I would have loved to try). Again, this is an excellent option to dine if in this terminal and probably the best airport meal I've ever had. So if rating against all airport restaurants, this is a hands down 5 stars. But if rating against restaurants/breweries in general, I'll go with a 4/4.5 (if half stars were a thing). Already planning to go back on my next work trip to SLC! read more

I didn't know how to give a 0 star so I had to select 1! I had an evening flight and decided to stop in here for dinner and a drink before boarding. That's it dude was absolutely terrible I got the check and tenders and they seemed like they had been under a sun lamp for three days the fries were warm but not desirable. You have to order online on your phone and the servers are really put out to even bring you your food I waited throughout my whole meal just to get a napkin. I was in SLC for work and had an early flight home. I decided to get a breakfast sandwich at Uinta brewing. The sandwich and potatoes were good for airport food. I removed the sausage from the sandwich, which improved it. The sausage was over cooked, but the eggs, bacon and cheese were good. It seems like the use the same bun for breakfast and burgers. When I first arrived I didn't notice the tables outside (you can see them in the picture attached). The restaurant was pretty full and I wasn't in the mood to deal with people and sit at a shared table so I ordered To-Go. While I was waiting I noticed the empty tables outside. The lady taking my order was polite enough, not overly friendly but I get that at 7am! I politely explained the situation to an employee (he seemed like the manager potentially) and asked if I could sit at one of the tables. I'm an introvert so crowds of people, sharing tables with strangers isn't my thing. I did accidentally describe the inside seating as a mess and went on to explain I was talking about the ton of people and not the CLEAn restaurant. Maybe he was like me and not fully awake, but he was clearly annoyed by my request . He said we don't have tables for To Go orders (no, really?!?). It seemed like he'd tolerant it if I did but he clearly frown upon it. Might I mention...I actually tipped about 15% on my to go order. And I would have left a couple dollars on the table too. No one has sat at the tables for over an hour that I was waiting to board my flight. Only passerbys stopped at them to take a break or get something from there bags. This honestly has to be the best airport food I've had to date. The breakfast sandwich was perfectly made! Sausage was crispy but juicy and the spicy mayo on the sandwich complimented the sandwich so well! The tater tots were the perfect crunch to add to this sandwich. Literally disgusting food. It's hard to imagine that I. This day and age with Sysco delivering good food that a restaurant could serve such a terrible product. You'll see that most of my reviewers are positive. But, I need to warn you about this place. I ordered the Knuckle Sandwich. It was a brioche bun with some thinly sliced fabricated meat that had been somehow cooked to be crispy and gross around the edges. My guess is that they somehow get away with this because they are the only "restaurant" at the end of the Southwest Airlines terminal. Servers were nice. read more

I'll give this place two stars based purely on the fact that it is convenient as it is one of the only places on this side of the terminal and the food is not bad at all. However, my experience was not at all pleasant. My wife and I had to wait nearly 40 minutes for a burger and a salad and there were many people around us who sat down after we did and got their food sooner and were on their way to catch their flights before we even ate. Luckily we were not super pressed for time but had we been it would have been an issue. This was not my main problem though. Shortly after we were seated a group of three younger adults probably in their mid-20s two girls one guy were seated next to us. The tables have about 2 feet between them which is not much space at all. The young man in the group was so clearly sick that my wife & i immediately noticed. He was either severely hung over or had a full-blown infection of some sort, he was pale, eyes red, sniffling constantly, sneezing, coughing, the works. In the time of Covid this is much more noticeable especially in a food environment and when the person is hacking sneezing sniffling & especially if it looks like they had the shit beat out of them. I'm not judging him personally, but it was hard to overlook especially when seated in a tight environment where patrons are allowed to have their mask off because they are "dining". My wife and I were very uncomfortable as his symptoms continued a few minutes after they sat down. Their server was also watching them intently & i could tell by his body language he wasn't comfortable. None of the servers are staff made an attempt to request the guy to at least keep his mask on until his food came, but the biggest problem i had is that when my wife & i finally decided to move ourselves to the corner of the dining area to put some space between the guy our waitress told us that it was "a problem because that's some other waiter's zone" I told her i don't care we've been waiting for a long time & I'm not going to sit next to a visibly sick person during cover for an airport lunch. She was not understanding of the situation even though i told her i would physically hand her the tip money when we were finished even if she didn't bring us the bill once we moved. The new waiter in the "section" we moved to was much more understanding, but the damage had been done. I wouldn't come back though due to the slow service even during non peak times & the lack of care regarding covid precautions & overall health requests. read more

I finally placed my order of a basic cheeseburger, fries, and a soda. Order arrived and it sure was basic! Bun was cold, burger was mostly medium but the center was a bit more medium rare. Fries were average, quantity was sparse. No offers to refill my drink. Server brought the handheld thing to close out my bill. The options for a tip were clearly pointed out, especially the 20% one. 20ish bucks for mediocre food and service. Left disappointed and then my flight was canceled and rebooked for the next day.
