If I could leave a six star review, I would. Ulmer's on Salem Rd. is the number one best auto care or auto mechanics business in the entire world. They are extremely friendly, kind, helpful, funny, smart and hard-working. They get the job done super fast, but it's still quality work as well. If you need ANYTHING related to cars, do not go ANYWHERE else besides Ulmer's. They are the nicest group of people you will ever meet and will totally answer any of your questions and make sure that you (the customer) are taken care of. You can schedule on-line or in person, and they will be happy to assist you. Took my mom's Jeep in for some fluids work and they were amazing with getting it completed in a timely manner. They allowed me to drop it off the day before and said it would be finished by the end of the day tomorrow, but it was ready by 9:00AM the next morning. There are few companies that will do what they just did. My daughter had a routine Bumper to Bumper service done and when she drove back to Indianapolis a day later, her oil light began to go on and off. I called Bryan (the owner) and told him about it. He then drove all the way to Indianapolis that next morning to look at what was going on and then fixed the problem. It was a bad oil filter. Just think about it, here the owner drove over 100 miles to diagnose the problem, drive my daughter to work while taking it to a local shop to fix it. How many companies will do that? Hmm, they diagnosed a faulty tire ball bearing on my daughter's Honda CRV that two other auto shops missed, consulted me, fixed it, and returned the car to me the same day for a reasonable price. They seemed to know what they were doing but the mechanic did not listen to me at all. Any time I was talking to him about options for my car he would cut me off and not listen to anything I was saying. It was very frustrating and ended up just paying the pricy diagnostic fee which no one discussed with me ahead of time either. No pricing was discussed ahead of time and they acted like I was not important to them at all. Bad experience. Maybe if I had had another mechanic it would have gone better. read more
