gel x nails
Erin P.

if you want fast service you and a fungal infection you should go here! the work was good (extremely over priced though) and it was my first time there and trying gel X which broke my nails off and are thinning. i got acrylic on my big toes and the work was great but now i have a black toenail and cannot get my feet done for weeks. again, their work is great but very unsanitary i guess. also wasnt a big fan of ANY of the worker's attitude when i walked in, only for it to change when telling me to upgrade my services and when it was time to pay. they were all eating on their nail stations which is extremely unsanitary also one of the workers brings their dog in and doesnt control it so if youre allergic to dogs stay away!! youre better off going to a spot in the hood or a local artist than this fake bougie place.

My daughter and I both got the So Soft Pedicures and Nail Extensions with Gel Polish. I also got my eyebrows waxed. The service was great. We will definitely come back.

My nails!

I requested a gel manicure with design and Kim did a great job. I showed her a picture and she replicated it perfectly. Will be going back regularly.

Hours after the service

If I could give zero stars I would. I've never been yelled at by a representative of a business for a poor service rendered by their business. Be weary of Julie's attitude and quality of service. Went in for a French gel polish change. Two technicians (Tony and Mike) attempted and the result was uneven tips without clean finishes. Julie took over with a silent attitude and didn't fix the problem. It was disappointing to see what their standard was for a final product and what they would let a customer walk out with. Finally went for a solid color. The polish lifted hours later. I called the next day about the issue and got yelled at by Julie. Why would I want to go back after spending so much time to not get the nails I wanted, then dealing with the shit quality of the most basic service the salon provides, and facing the disgusting customer service after bringing up the issue....

Pretty nails.

Second time visiting. I gave them 4 stars because I really love Sam and how he does my nails and still do. It's just Jason (the guy with all the tattoos on his left arm) is a dick. I am not rude to professionals who provide service, even when I'm not satisfied. I wish I could give him a 1. He got upset because I accidentally messed up my toe. The thing is like most salons they use tissue instead of the toe separators and my right toe kept touching the one left of it. Also, I am getting my nails done for my bday and want them to look nice. He made such a huge deal. Packed his nail case like a wuss and walked off saying he wouldn't fix it. Helen the sweet manager had to talk to him and ended up fixing it herself. I like myself too much to make a scene but he did. Shameful. He is a poor addition to the otherwise nice team at this salon. Happy Birthday to me.

They change out the plastic covering between each client. Huge fan of this! Sanitation is so important with pedicures

I think I can officially say that I had the most painful pedicure of my life here. When I walked in, everything seemed really promising. I had a 10am appointment and was sat down right away. I immediately admired the fact that they used disposable plastic covers over their pedicure bowls. You always hear about those horror stories of people ending up in the ER because of unsanitary nail salons. This salon is super sanitary and that is a huge benefit to getting services here. The pedicure process started great. My nail technician was doing a nice job at scrubbing my feet. At some point she decided that it would be a good idea to start roughly massaging the back of my toes. I told her 2 different times that this hurt, but she still continued to go at it. I was also squirming because of how uncomfortable it was, but she didn't stop. I told her at one point that my skin is thin behind my toes and that it almost felt like some of the skin had broken between the smaller toes. She then decided to douse my toes in alcohol out of a squirt bottle, which caused a lot of burning of course. When she was massaging my calves, she was also too rough. I don't understand what was up with this lady. Did she graduate from the Atlanta Nail School of Torture ? Overall, the ending result of the pedicure was good, but it was far from relaxing. One of the reasons I get a pedicure is for the experience. I'm sure many of the other nail techs here are wonderful, but she turned me off from this place completely. I wouldn't recommend this place to any of my friends living in or visiting Atlanta.

Pride by Thea!

I love this place and the amazing folks that work here! Thea is PHENOMENAL and her work is flawless!!

Inconsistency in length...ring finger nail is noticeably longer

I've tried this place twice now..once living across the street when I first moved and I wasn't pleased, so I went elsewhere. I decided to give them another chance once my nail tech opened her own salon and took a hiatus from doing nails, and because I now live in the building it's attached to. Once again, extremely disappointed. I waited an hour to get a pedicure. I chose a VIP pedicure (and added a paraffin wax which wasn't included) and it was the second time I've received a terrible pedicure here. The massage was non-existent and nothing about it was relaxing or felt VIP. I broke my second toe nail and their laying of acrylic and shaping was awful..I wanted to say something but I could tell no one knew what they were doing so I just decided to deal with it. Also, no one offered me anything to drink and I had to ask for water..TWICE!! Thea did my nails and she was a doll, but the shape and size was inconsistent. I left my anklets there in the cup holder and when I returned the next day (because they closed shortly after I left) they said they never found them so I'm like ok- they threw them away. Whatever. Two days after my pedicure my big toe nail chipped. I came back to the salon and the manager acted like she didn't remember me from Saturday when she started my pedicure and then had someone else finish, and I have very distinct long silver hair you don't see everyday. Again whatever. I've since been waiting an hour to fix one toe nail!!! I will never return it's just not worth it there's nothing special about this salon except maybe Thea's attitude. I paid $125 for a fill in/pedicure and tipped $30 (despite not being happy) but I will not be returning.

I went there based on the reviews!! I waited 15 min (no problem) the pedicure good.. I asked for french nails... the acrylic was way too thick, I said it, the boy doing my nails was complaining, huffing and with a bad attitude.... they charged me $77 plus $8 tip (I don't even know why I gave them tip) plus I have to paid for parking!! Look at mi pictures, what is that??? That doesn't even look that the picture I showed them!!! Anyway I'm extremely disappointed

Environment: Very pleasant. Bright and airy. Music was good. Felt like I was in for a spa treat Staff: friendly. One in particular very knowledgeable about products. Serviced purchased: Mani (full set) pedi (signature). Mani price was $27 for full set and then $14 for color and design. Pedi was $35 I wanted a particular design. I asked was this something that can be done and they assured me yes. In the middle of the process, I was told it wasn't possible because it had to be gel polish. Gel this, gel that, which totaled an extra $17 for gel plus the $14 for designs. Not only do I not like gel polish, I'm allergic to it. So I was quite irritated that they kept trying to charge me up and point me in the gel direction. On top of it I was upset that I could not get the marble nail paint I wanted unless I got gel. Don't get me wrong, I liked the person doing my feet and nails, but the nail tech kept referencing gel quotes seemed to want to charge me for everything. I was convinced this was gonna be my new nail spot since I was in need of one, but unfortunately I will keep looking. If I come back out of desperation I will just get basic colors. The two stars are for the First Lady that gave me Info and the person that did my pedicure.

One thing that I believe is important is that I rarely get ingrown hairs when I go to her. In addition, my hair doesn't grow back in an abnormal way. They did their job but when I first visited a Sweet Peach studio in Atlanta, I knew I had been missing out on an even better experience. I have visited this Virginia Highlands location once before, but actually thought that I was booking at their Vinings location. Oops! Halfway through my drive I realized that I was going to a totally different place, lol. (The team was so nice, they assured me that if I was at the wrong location, they would have worked it out for me) Parking in this neighborhood can feel a little risky as there are 'no parking' signs all over, it's hard to know what to believe. I called ahead just to confirm if I could park on the street without issue during my afternoon visit and was reassured. Spoiler alert: My car was safe in its original spot with no ticket in sight. The vibes at each Sweet Peach are the same, adorable and covered in peaches! Peach rugs, walls in peachy tones, adorable peachy butts, etc etc. Once you walk into a Sweet Peach, you'll never forget how they look lol. Another fun trait of each Sweet Peach? Sex and The City plays on each tv. LOVE. Definitely easy to get through a waxing/sugaring appointment as you see Carrie embarrassing herself once again for Big's attention. The team at this location (and honestly, every locaton) is SO nice. They were patient, incredibly helpful and just sweethearts. Tammy was my wax tech on my last visit and she did an amazing job. I was so confused when she told me. Fast forward 10 min after leaving the place, my eye begins to swell up (see attached photo). I am not on any antibiotics, retinol, AHA, etc. that would cause my skin to be thin. After doing some research, I now think her waxing technique was off, thus ripping my skin off off. I was sad this happened, because the location is great if you live in midtown, but I am really disappointed in this. She took $5 off my total price (normal price is $15 for an eyebrow wax), but I tipped her thinking the rip wasn't that bad. Well, my eye has been stinging and I hope this doesn't scar. While I have received some good services over the years, lately this place has just felt like a scam. Full sets "start" at $55 but there's a $5 fee for shape (you have to shape nails, what're y'all even talking about) and $15 for length. Now I get that when people have long or extra long nails, it costs more to do. But these are my nails below. The very last time I went in, she tried to gaslight me into thinking I have abnormally long nail beds and that's why the VERY obviously short nails are considered "medium" (also these are pictured a week after them being done so they're longer than when they were fresh). So I'm paying $70 for basic acrylic nails that they don't even properly prep -- my cuticles are never do much as pushed back. As for pedicures, I will say I've had some good ones there, but lately I've also not been receiving the same level of service. The world is trash right now so I get the decrease in effort, not as upset as I am about weird nail pricing. I continued to come because it was convenient, but one thing I will not be is continuously scammed. If anyone has any suggestion for places that don't have all these weird fees, doesn't even have to be cheaper, please let me know.
