Most of my shopping is done online because I hate going to the mall, or most stores in general, but I actually like coming to Ulta. They carry the products I use every day at great prices, like Dolce and Gabbana Light Blue perfume and Clinique moisturizer. Around the holidays they usually have gift sets, just like the larger and busier department stores. I rather come here as it's easier and less stressful. I've been using Tree Hut body scrub for years and they have a variety of scents, at better prices than most other stores. For me, it's the small things that matter, and I always find something here that makes me happy without breaking the bank. Located in the Westwinds of Boca plaza, on the SE corner of Glades and 441. I stopped into this Ulta and left pleasantly surprised. One of the associates was offering help left and right. Probably it was because closing time was near, but either way the extra attention was nice. I didn't end up finding what I originally came for, but of course I still walked out with something new. That's Ulta for ya! Lol. What really impressed me was the stock of Juvia's Place. This location honestly has the best selection I've seen at any Ulta. My closest store never has much worth buying from Juvia's Place so this felt like a treasure find. Checkout was quick and smooth, the cashiers were super friendly, and the store itself looked clean and organized. Overall I'd say this Ulta deserves some love. I wouldn't necessarily drive out of my way, but if I'm in the area again and need a beauty fix I'd definitely pop back in. read more

This Ulta does offer curbside, but I opted to pick up inside of the store instead.. upon arriving I was greeted immediately, the store was really clean, the staff are very friendly and were able to help with some changes I had to make on my account. i got a hair cut today for my curly hair. it used to be down past my breasts when curled and now its straight and barley past my shoulders, when it curls back up its gonna be at the tops of it. i said to take off 2 inches. ive been crying non stop since i got home. i have a gala in 3 days and the blowout i was given will definitely NOT hold. my scalp was burnt repeatedly with the boow dryer amd she pulled my hair so much i now have a migraine. i told her i "loved it" because she cant grow my hair back and i didnt wanna ruin her day like she ruined my next couple months. after, i needed help shopping and nof a single associate was on the floor for over 30 minutes. my hair is ruined for months thanks alot. read more

I asked a rep with help finding the combs, she asked another associate for direction and directed me to where the brushes were. I called out that they were brushes and not combs, the associate kept walking and yelled back "she said they were there". Ulta is always my go to place for cosmetics. I love that they have a selection of both high-end cosmetics as well as less expensive drugstore brands. The staff is always helpful when I need something in particular or are looking to try something new. Their customer loyalty plan is really good too. I have gotten a lot of free items over the years due to my spending habits! They often have good sales as well with 20% off coupons. However, the coupons don't always work on prestige brands, they have a hair salon there, as well as eyebrows and skin care although I've never used those. The only thing that aggravates me a bit is that I've found a couple items in the past that I want to continue purchasing and find that they have been discontinued from Ulta stores. If you have their credit card and sign up for their emails you get coupons online and in the mail too. This particular store seems to be the same as all the others ones I have been in. Used Marci for root touch up, I confirmed with her that she was not going to put any root color on my highlights.... Next thing I know the whole entire top of my head, including my highlights are covered with root color. She came back to me after 10 minutes and said oh I got color on your highlights, but I'm sure it'll be OK. It wasn't the whole top of my hair, including my highlights were dark root color. She said she would fix it if it was too dark but then all of a sudden she had no time for me and she said I can make another appointment and for $92 she could do the highlights. I thought to myself hell no. She should have corrected it right then and there. I would not use her for color or highlights. read more

I was very unhappy with my experience with Margo the hairstylist. I went in to set an appointment and explained to her that I needed my hair dyed purple. I advised her that I previously had it died a semi permanent purple. That is now a red. She called me about 30 minutes later and said she had availability for 3 PM. When I came in there, she said that she assumed I wanted it re-dyed red of which I never said anything about. When she realized that I needed a color correction to get the red out and a darker color at the top, she refuse to do it. What's the point of Hair Stylist if you're not going to do what your customers want to be done ? I have an Ulta credit card, but not quite sure what the point is. I'm going back to spend my money there if they're not going to do what I want them to do and I'm paying them to do. read more

After getting some botched and over-processed highlights at an expensive chain salon, I went to this Ulta immediately afterward - desperately looking for a quick diy color-fix that I could apply that same night. I was lucky to get helped by Vincent who was very knowledgable and patiently walked me through some of the diy options. But I realized for best results, my hair would need expert care and made an appointment to see him a few days later. And I'm so glad I did. Vincent is a true expert in color (and color correction) and is just as great at cutting/styling hair too. I've been back to see him several times now, and he always takes his time to assess and makes my hair look amazing. So next time you want to refresh your hair, go see him. Came here for the first time ever, bought a Kylie lip kit. Immediately returned it two days later because the color was too dark - the cashier was kind and handled my return promptly and efficiently. I then asked for her to call a makeup artist / beauty specialist over to help me try on / select a good lip color. She called over a manager who acted extremely bored and reluctant to help. She was basically silent the whole time and gave off annoyed vibes. Sorry but isn't this your job?! I ended up leaving without buying anything. I've been to Ulta many times with my wife, Diane. They have a huge selection of cosmetics, brushes to apply various items, boxes to carry and store your cosmetics, all at discount prices. The staff is less than helpful, possibly because they are always busy at Ulta. They have one line with usually only one or two cashiers. If you have a question, you ordinarily have to wait in line to ask. Ulta is a very large store where you probably can find what it is you are looking for, if you find it yourself. Ulta Beauty frequently has sales on their popular items. But again, customer service is not what it should be. Many times you get to the front of the line, only to find out that the sale doesn't cover what you are trying to buy. Ulta has the potential of being an incredibly useful store, but they aren't there yet. read more

Was in a few weeks ago to buy a specific piece of hardware for my hair...the prices are very good, competitive. And they offer a coupon (I forgot to bring mine in OOPS). It has been years since I had been in one and seems like they've improved not only the store experience but the products and brands inside, too! I had no idea they carried department store brand cosmetics and such. When I got there, I was early. And a few other people came early. We waited patiently outside and then when the girl unlocked the door to let us all in, she was in a bit of a fluster...some of their staff called in sick that morning and there were 5 or 6 of us ready to rush in and shop! But it could have been worse, they were still ok, just a little frustrated with how their morning started out. I don't have one near me, but it's definitely an alternative to the department store. And with all the problems with department stores threatening to close up shop, etc, I may have to invest more time finding an Ulta near me. read more

Needs to improve on quality service of employees. The store is clean and neatly organized, has all the products you need, except a MAC bar. Which is fine not all ulta Carry them. But when I shop hear, I feel like the employees follow your every step, are very rude and salty. They should get the te-training Rihana made Sephora do. My wife and I have shopped at the Glades location several times as we used to use their in-store salon. Due to high turnover of stylists (who seemed overworked somehow), we have since become loyal customers at a hair salon across the street. I'm not a hair salon snob, but the one in Ulta is mediocre. Haircuts are not Supercuts cheap and the atmosphere is less than relaxing (situated at the back of the primary room). I think you're better off going to a dedicated hair salon and spending a little more. Or go to Supercuts and pay less for similar results. What prompted me write this review: I went in to get an item advertised as "a sale of the day" sort of thing. When my wife and I showed up after work, we were told all 6 containers of the product had sold out and there was no way they could reorder. Big sale, limited stock? I was advised by a staff member that I needed to come in early to get the sale items before they sold out. Well, a lot of people work Monday morning. Big fail Ulta. Sadly it's not the first time I've come in for a sale item at this store only to have wasted my gas and time. The staff is inconsistent. Some associates are really caring and helpful, but the manager has attitude. Every time my wife and I have gone in, she seems annoyed or distracted. I don't like to go into a store that I inevitably spend a lot of money in and be made to feel like the manager wishes she could be elsewhere. It's also a perpetually disorganized looking store. It lacks feng shui appeal and engenders frenetic shopping. I wanted to like Ulta and the store location is convenient, but you can get a lot of the same beauty items at Publix or Harmon's, oftentimes cheaper. For the higher end brands, you're better off going to a department store for good customer service (and the same prices if not on sale) or shopping online. I came here, last minute, because i wanted my makeup done for my birthday dinner. After going to a blow dry bar, and being refused service for makeup, I tried Ulta. I called and immediately my call was answered. I explained my situation and they asked if i could hold while they checked to see if an aesthetician was available, they told me they could do a 3:30 appointment. I drove over there, was greeted by Stevie and all around had such an AMAZING experience. She showed me around and asked my opinion on which foundation looked more natural, she asked me what I was looking for, i told her Glam eyes, but not a "Cakey foundation" look. I have to agree with some of the comments here. I walked into this store and walked to the back to look for a root color by L'Oréal. I was followed by a manager because she assumed I was going to steal. I asked her for help and she replied "We don't have that anymore, You should go to Sallys." I looked down and there was the product that I was looking for. The floors are clean and it smells nice. It's a big Store so they always have a wide range of things in stock! Walked in and was looking for the tarte shape tape. I was trying the samples and noticed they had put multiple samples of one shade, so I asked if they had he shade missing. No one helped me, i literally had to walk around the store and find someone to help. Two employees right next to me were having a conversation about their daughters or something and noticed I needed help but decided to keep talking. The inventory was a mess. Update So after going there a few times after my 1st not so good experience I decided to go back due to the convenience of it being so near my home Today I have Rebecca and I must say the experience was amazing and my hair looks great Definitely will be back Made an appointment for my 13 year for a hair cut due to our usual stylist being out of town What a disaster . Walked In and was told immediately she the stylist was running late What bothers Me the most is that I made the appointment 1 hour before walking in and no one told me she was running that behind. She proceeds to come to me 30 min after my appointment and says I'm delayed because someone booked me incorrectly . We sat there for what seemed like forever and it was like " who cares" Now I know that you should never go to a retail store to get your hair done. If you're looking for make up, shampoo, perfume, or a host of other beauty items you'll probably find it here. The store is large, bright, and nicely laid out. Their prices are good, especially when they're having a sale. I get their flyers and they always have something I want to buy. Several months ago I was looking for a shampoo my hairdresser recommended. The large size bottle, at stores that sold it, was $29.00. I checked Ulta and they had it on sale for $15.00. I went there and bought six large bottles. Now I check their ads, and when I see a great price for something I'm going to need, even if I don't need it yet, I stock up. That's how good their sales are. I'm not saying everything they sell is cheap or discounted, but watching for their sales can save you money. read more

Salon at Boca Raton Store Review: I received a blowdry service at the salon today, as I do 2-3 times per month at the Boca, Deerfield Beach or Coral Springs location. When I got to the register, I noticed my receipt didn't include the following promo featured on the Ulta salon website: 30% off All Blowouts Offer valid for all guests with any designer. Prices vary by designer. Cannot be combined with any other hair offer at THE SALON. Discount applied at time of service. Offer valid 5/10/15-5/30/15. I was told to go back to the stylist at the salon for an adjusted receipt. The stylist, Lori Ann, was clearly bothered by this. She told me she was running late and that I should have told her I had a coupon. Mind you, this is supposed to be an offer for ALL clients during the month of May without an actual coupon required, so I don't understand why I was hassled to get the discount I was entitled to. I'm honestly suspicious why she didn't include it to begin with?! Are the stylists paid based on the dollar amount of their services? Does a $10 discount make that much of a difference to them? I tipped $10 based on the FULL price of the $31 blowdry, so I don't understand the bad attitude. Ulta, please train your salon team on their customer service skills! Good looking store, but manager and front of house staff was rude and came across as gender biased. I brought in an item to return, consistent with their return policy online. The manager and cashier rudely proceeded to tell me that what is in writing doesn't matter, and that they were doing me a big favor by taking a product back. In a time when customer service is critical in brick and mortar retail, this place will never see me walk through its doors again. I am very displeased with the customer service here or rather the lack there of. I was one of few customers in the store. Happened to be walking down the aisle and one of the beauty techs was walking the same aisle as me. Rather than be courteous and wait until I exited the aisle, the decision was made to talk through the woman standing in front her at her next client. Im five months pregnant. How rude! I actually heard another woman of the staff snicker that "we don't need that kind of customer". I did not voice this in the store. Didn't feel like they even deserved to be confronted about how ugly their personalities were. Perhaps, I'm a bit big. I'm 5 months pregnant. That was rude and uncalled for. I've been coming to this Ulta since I was 15. 12 years later, I'm having my first baby and wanting to revamp myself. I'll be taking my business to a more customer service oriented facility. 12 years of my money was 12 years too many for a store that does not know how to treat a customer, specially since they obviously they don't need the kind of customer who is repeat money in their business. I'd give one star but their saving grace was a friendly cashier that actually disinfected the cash desk after every customer and greeted me politely rather than looking straight through me like I did not belong there. In case upper management would like to know who the staff was, my trip was today morning Saturday the 8th at 10am. I agree with Ryan. I love the store. Many products, nicely kept. I used to love to look around at all the products. Been through some things and Looking around the store and buying new product was relaxing to me. Every time I go I spend way over $100 ( every couple of weeks) BUT, as Ryan said, they also make me feel like I'm doing something wrong, as if I'm going to steal something. One time the manager marched up to me and was clearly bothered that I was in there for more than a half hour and just wanted to get me out. The other time a man came over and asked me a couple of times if I had any questions. Clearly, making sure I wasn't stealing anything. Really? If I did have any questions I wouldn't be asking the loss prevention guy. I hadn't gone in for a long time because the first woman made me uncomfortable.
