I came to this ulta with high expectations, usually pleased with ulta locations. Yet not even 5 minutes in to arriving at the place I was treated rudely. My daughter was looking for the famous tarte concealer that everyone is crazy about, I asked for help picking the right shade. I was ignored by one of the Clinique staff. She said that she could help me find the Tarte staff so I waited. Once she came she just gave me the concealer she wearing and left. Shoving it in my daughters face; "here wear this". Once that happened a group of staff members surrounded us and came around us as if we were to steal something. Not only did we feel uncomfortable, but we felt rushed and unattended. The place was not busy, so I cannot even phantom when it is. This is truly a disappointment on so many levels. Due to my high standards of Ulta; I know they have better locations and better staff members. I will never recommend this Ulta to anyone. This was an extremely distasteful experience. read more

I've thought about this for over a week now and want to make a review. I do not know what the store policies are about their loss prevention security guards, so I don't know who to put this on. I am a white male 28 years old, middle class, normally dressed no tattoos... just to describe myself in their store, and not just this location but this one and the Delray Beach location on federal highway. When I go in there with my girlfriend, nobody bats an eye at us. When I go in there by myself to buy something for my girlfriend or myself.... Like it sounds stupid but I am profiled. Who would have guessed in these days a white male would be profiled but every single time, I am approached by the security guard and asked how am I doing, and they start a whole conversation on the first thing they think of. And then after talking to me they say "okay you're good, I'm just walking around" It made me so nervous last time at this location that I just went to the counter with 3 things in my hand 2 which I didn't even want to buy but I felt like I needed to to make it look like I wasn't stealing.... The whole time I purposely tried to keep my hands out of my pockets and the items in my hands in plain view of the camera. It makes me so uncomfortable I never want to go there Unless it's the only store that has what I want for my hair style. That stuff needs to stop . This ULTA is a far cry from my Fort Lauderdale stores...in a good way. Service was amazing, as is with all of the stores I've visited. What puts this store above the rest that they carry the items I want to buy. Every prestige item I wanted was in stock, so Ulta was able to get my money this go around. Only downside was that I had to search for make up cleansers and applicators. read more

If I could give this location 0 stars I'll. It was my second and last time at this location. The first time I went there, nobody was trying to help,they were very rude looking at me because I was wearing flip floats and relax style, I didn't pay much attention because I don't care;anyways I asked for help and everyone was talking to each other "been busy" the casher tried to help me calling somebody from her walkie and nobody came to help me, I waited for around 20 minutes and nobody stopped...I figured out my question ,and I payed my stuff, so the cashier was upset that nobody help me because she called someone. The second time I thought it would be different because there were more people, but again, none were trying to help people at there store. After a long walk,I didn't even ask for assistance because I was not going to deal with another rude sales associate that was not goin to show up, so when I paid I saw and offer and I even took a picture of that yo show at the cashier on any case if They do a different transaction, so when I paid i saw the receipt at my car and, I walked back to do a return because it was supposed to be $10 at the receipt said $24 both, it was buy one get one free... so I got there and the girl didn't want to do the return, she was asking me to take another one because it was take 2 get one free at their system, the picture that I took said 1-1, so I just wanted to returned then both because It was another price that it showed at the "offer". She then called several people and none of them want to the return, until an old lady came. She was so mad with me,that she gave me the receipt and throw me the pen to sign,and was staring looking at me with a very disrespectful eyes, very rude people. I work as retail sales associate and I want to tell one thing to the manager of this location: HIRE new people OR MAKE THEM TAKE CLASSES OF COSTUMER SERVICE BECAUSE IT SUCKS!!! read more

This place has everything! Even my hard-to-find soap that I usually have to order online. Could spend hours here just looking at all their different products. Great nail polish and makeup selection. I love ulta. The love how their is such a variety of products. The service however, disappoints. The employees can't seem to help you with your makeup questions. DO NOT GET YOUR HAIR CUT HERE. I went to cut my hair there instead of my usual salon, because I wanted to gain more points. I was there for 3 hours!!! It was an entire day experience. I went with my mom and the same guy was doing both of our hair. it's not like I didn't make an appointment. He also had us sit and wait before our blow dry to cut some man's hair. By the time he blow dried my hair, it was already dry. We actually left as the store was closing, and I didn't gain many points. It was a very bad salon experience, but I love the store and the products it provides. This is the only place that sells both high end and drug store makeup. They also have a great clearance section, which I love! read more

I will give ZERO, if I could. I have been a customer at the Glades/Boca location for a while, but there treatment of customers has gone down hill and into the gutter. I went in with my original receipt and they scam you into putting it on one of their gift cards. I purchased a concealer and had my original receipt and a NARs lip pencil with no receipt. I informed the girl to refund the concealer to my mastercard and do an exchange with the NARs, since they can bring it up because I am in the club. The slick checkout clerk did an exchange with the concealer and Nars lip pencil, then proceed to tell me she could not do two transaction at the same time. DUh - no system is set up that way. Then, she has the audacity to give me $25 on a gift card. I spoke with a manager and they tried to play they couldn't void a transaction because mastercard had to do it. A bunch of B.S. Do NOT shop there, if you return anything your original receipt will be useless. The sales people are slick and the security guards follow you around like, if you do not have money to spend. I brought my daughter in to have her makeup done for her graduation party. She was so excited and was really looking forward to having her makeup done. What a let down.. Rebecca was the girl to do it. She was extremely rude and had a major attitude. Very unprofessional. We were so disappointed. I will not being going back in an Ulta again. I would definitely recommend NOT using Rebecca. I am not a person who ever complains, however, this experience was terrible. I ended up redoing all of my daughter's make up! I spent $70 for nothing. I must also add that in the past couple of months, I have purchased 3 different lipliners from 3 different brands (Mac, Urban Decay, and Lancome) which all crumbled and broke apart. I received a less than satisfactory hair service for my dad's wedding. I never said anything because the girl who did my service was nice and amicable enough but when I went home my sister had to fix it entirely. I asked for a simple straightened ponytail with three uncomplicated braids (not French, not corn rows, simply three normal braids). The stylist (no longer an employee of ULTA but I'll get to that later), Priscilla, said she didn't know how to do that (???) and wasn't even going to straighten my hair until I asked if she was going to? I gave her a photo reference. I even showed the same photo to the girl who booked me in person the day prior and she said it wouldn't be a problem. I left upset with the result but paid about $50 for the disappointment. So here's where I'm really irked: Last week I received a text from the stylist telling me she was no longer employed at ULTA and letting me know where I could find her if I wished to receive any services from her. 1.) I did not share my information with her personally 2.) Stealing customer information violates a huge PCI compliance law. I discovered this only after speaking to the manager of this Ulta, Jean, and sought further counsel after I was unsatisfied with her response. She offered me 20% off a future hair service and said that "there was nothing she could do about the actions of former employees". I no longer feel comfortable going to the salon as it is clear that they do not take adequate measures to ensure their customers' privacy. Priscilla obviously stole my information before she left Ulta, meaning that this happened while she was still employed there. While the retail side of things is fine and the deals they usually have are great, I will be addressing this incident with corporate. read more

I started going to her at the Wellington location and followed her to the Boca location because she is that GOOD! Definitely worth a 30 minute drive to have perfect eyebrows! read more

I don't ever write reviews, but in this case I feel it's needed. I have gotten my hair cut and colored here a few times until my usual lady moved away. I decided to return and give the new color specialist Mallory a chance. Personality wise she is so sweet and down to earth. As far as performance, she fixed the brassy blonde I had in my hair and revamped my highlights. I'm so happy with her work. She is a very sweet and talented stylist, who cares about her clients. I have gotten SO many compliments on my blonde hair. I highly recommend her and I'm happy I gave her a try! read more

This location in Boca Raton on glades and 441 is the worst!! I have never had a pleasant shopping day there. Most of the staff are not helpful ...and if they represent a certain company and you're not interested they just walk away. One girl only wanted me to buy a lipstick from Lancôme and said there wasn't another brand that would be long wearing. Sephora's employees are always helpful and make sure you get what you are looking for. Today at Ulta I asked where a certain brand was and they just pointed to the direction it was in. It's hard to find a salon to a good stylist in South Florida. I've been her 5 years and I stil don't have a steady stylist. I have shopped at Ulta for years and even recently become dedicated to Dermalogica, the skincare line many Ulta centers avidly promote. I decided to give The Salon inside Ulta at Delray Beach a try. So, this morning, I made an appointment online. I made the appointment online because I cannot easily make or accept personal calls while at work. At 4pm, I received a phone call and subsequent voicemail from The Salon asking me to confirm my 6pm appointment. I could not get to the message until I left my office and was on my way to the appointment. When I called The Salon to confirm and let them know I was on my way, they asked me if I could come the following day instead because the stylist wouldn't be ready for me at 6pm. What's the point of having online appointments if they are not actually available and must still be confirmed by phone? I promptly cancelled the appointment and the person on the phone simply said ok and hung up. What kind of customer service is this? I was hoping to enjoy the salon services as well (this would have been my first time using The Salon), but I don't see myself giving The Salon another chance after this experience. read more

Rude staff & not helpful whatsoever. It's not hard for a woman to be happy in ulta.... but the staff there made it challenging. They didn't have one of the 'gift with purchase' items that went along with my Clinique purchase, the girl at the counter told me to come back another day for it. I asked if I need to bring my receipt and if I could go to a different location and she ignored me and started talking to a staff member. I asked again and she said "probably" and dismissed me. There was a staff member on the sales floor walking around and telling customers about an event going on this weekend. I had heard the whole spiel already. She came over to me and said "are you finding everything okay?" I said yes. And as she was about to start her spiel to me I stated "I'm out of town this weekend." She said with a very sarcastic attitude, "I also was asking if you needed help!" as she rolled her eyes. I just walked away. Needless to say, if you're in between which location to go, don't chose this one; there are so many great locations elsewhere. read more

I love ulta stores and the fact that they carry almost every brand including drugstore so it's like a one stop shop. Unfortunately I don't necessarily love this exact location. It's definitely big and has a lot of variety but every time I come here half the merchandise is out of stock. I genuinely don't think they get enough product in to last them until their next shipment especially of the common colors like light and medium. The drugstore section tends to be messy and half the products are opened because they don't keep consistent testers for everything. Which I mean I do understand it's not their fault that people open up products and put them back on the shelf but it still is unfortunate. The employees are nice enough to ask you if you need help but honestly the few times I said yes they weren't as helpful as I'd hoped. They never match my color correctly and just steer me to other products I wasn't interested in buying. I tend to get more done on my own since I usually know what time of makeup sits best on my skin. I suggest opening up a rewards card if you're a frequent shopper, it's free and the points slowly add up and you'll save a few bucks here and there.youll have to remind the cashiers you want to use your points because they never ask you. I won't stop coming here because it's the closest one to my house and I'm way to obsessed with beauty products but if you live near the one on Hillsboro I suggest going to that location instead. read more

Terrible customer service! I just had a "supervisor" give me terrible attitude and then hang up on me after i waited in hold for over 30 minutes to resolve my issue. Your website was not functioning during the 20% off so i called monday and was sent the email below. No where does it say it expires that day and the agent didnt say anything about needing to use it that day. I tried to use it last night and it did not work. I call your customer service to be told it had to be that night and now all they can do is give me a $15 gift card. I was going to soend $320 so that doesnt work for me. I asked for a supervisor and she was rude, disrespectful, wouldnt let me speak, wouldnt give me her name when I asked for it and wouldnt give me contact information for anyone above her I could reach out to about this. Then she just hung up on me. I was not yelling, cursing, etc. In fact, I am in my office so I would be embarrassed to do any of that. I did my hair color with Emma at ULTA in Glade Rd and 441 Boca Raton she is the the best, not only she fix the mess i had before for self coloring but gave me a color that i never thought i could have. If I could give this Ulta SALON in West Boca a negative rating number, I would. I do not understand why I was not able to receive an estimate over the phone for a simple blow dry when I called this Ulta salon so I called Ulta customer service. I called Ulta Customer Service and explained my issue & the girl on the other end if the phone was sympathetic to my concerns. She said someone would reach out to me to discuss. Only after I reached out to them again over 2 weeks later did anyone bother to call me back - not even from that salon!! I will say that there person who called me back was at least nice to me on the phone, (even though I told her that they lost my business). However, today, May 11th Jean the actual manager of this store FINALLY called me back (from my email of April 14th!!! Only after she said her regional manager told her to call me!!). Jean needs to go back to Customer Service school!!! Not nice or friendly on the phone at all!!! And to boot, she said the reason I could not get an estimate on my blow dry cost is because it depends on the level of the stylist & my hair length - I told her I know the length if my hair & why can't they know who would be available when I book an appointment??? AND (get this one) she then said they need to know how damaged my hair is!!!! Really!?!?! I know the length of my hair, (it is my hair)! You can't tell me who is available when I want to come (when I book an appointment) so I can know the level/cost of the stylist???? AND depends on how damaged my hair is!?!?!?! What!?!?! All I wanted was a simple blow out!!! Her final very snotty comment to me is that that is the way the Ulta salon works!!!This is NOT the place to go for a blow dry nor to be treated nicely!!!
