This Ulta beauty location is always super helpful. I needed help finding a foundation match as I usually have a hard time with my rosacea. Two amazing ladies sat me right down, asked my preferences and helped me find a brand as well as a color that worked for me. They didn't push product on me to the make me feel uncomfortable at all which I appreciated. Another time I went in looking for a specific hair oil. A team member went to see if they had it and let me know that I could have it shipped for free to my house when she noted the store was out of stock. The people at the registers are also helpful and always give me tips on how to stack deals and get the best bang for my buck. read more

Super upset. Thought I could come here and get real help on what makeup to get.. at a makeup store! First time I actually asked people for help and they screwed me. Good for you Ulta, to get your money and push your brands. I asked the associate to match me for a foundation and she asked me if I was open to others. Said yes, she tried it on only a small patch of my face and I bought it. Everybody says it brings out all of my texture and skin (and skin hair)... Unfortunately, all of the other recent reviews on this Ulta location are right. Their poor customer service truly shows through how impatient the staff all seem to be. As I was trying to figure out the free birthday gift the cashier seemed to be very uninterested in helping. Luckily a nicer cashier made a helpful comment but I had a difficult time working with the person checking me out. I'm a good customer, I don't care that I usually have to wait in a long line when they don't have enough cashiers (even tho you've seen at least 5 on the floor having conversations and doing their thing)...or that the most popular products are picked over, don't have tops on them, are not in the right spots...,but what really pisses me off is that this is the 3rd time I've had to say no 3 times that I don't want the credit card that I was pre-approved for... she was obnoxious today about it, and her manager was right there; obviously they have some sort of incentive- that's even more annoying. Poor customer service. I would recommend staff be mindful of how they address customers. As I was picking up an online order, I checked in on my mother as she was shopping. When my mother asked for assistance a young, thin white young lady with dark hair chose to say Wait give me a minute with tone and extremely dismissive. Wrong customer and wrong mother! Super disappointed in the service at the Salon portion specifically. I booked an appointment online and showed up to the location address listed on my appointment. Showed up 7min early and when I walked in and let them know I had an appointment the women behind the counter immediately assumed I had the wrong location - didn't ask my phone number or to see my booking or anything else that would have confirmed I was at the correct location. They instructed me to drive to another location 20min away, I called ahead to that location who stated they didn't have a reservation under that phone number and to try that store again. Called back to the *correct!* store and the woman told me I probably had the wrong state without, again, asking me anything to confirm whether or not I actually had an appointment. Just wanted to do something a little nice for myself and ended up crying with frustration. Won't ever try to book anything here again. Super disappointed. read more

Ran into Ulta for a nail file because I broke my nail while in the car on my way to the mall. Line was crazy long, only one person working on a Saturday and then another cashier joined her. Line was down into one of the aisles which made it hard to look for things in those aisles. 2 stars because I normally like this store however there was no one on the floor to ask for assistance and one cashier on a busy Saturday afternoon. read more

This review is strictly for the fabulous Caitlin, who works at the Benefits Brow Bar at this particular Ulta. She is the epitome of fabulous! She has the most genuine, warm spirit. I wasn't even in her section but she came over and asked if I needed any assistance. Two other associates had previously walked past me like I didn't even exist. This young lady took a sincere interest in helping me with what products I was looking for. She made amazing suggestions and even recommended products that were not specifically Benefit. I normally just grab what I need and go, not realizing a Brow Bar had been established in the store over the summer. I ended up making a brow appointment with Caitlin for the following day and she continued to amaze me. She perfected my precious facial hairs, grooming them to my acquired taste. Her bubbly personality was infectious and made my appointment so enjoyable. Caitlin's superior customer service skills have made me a permanent client of hers. Ulta needs more staff members like her! read more

I would love to leave more stars but I just can't justify it. I can only speak of the salon in this review as I didn't buy anything else. So I scheduled an appointment online to get my hair done for a special event. I really wasn't picky and I realize my extremely curly hair can be rather unruly, so I wasn't going to tell the professionals what I wanted. The only request I had was that it all was up. Well, it was up, for about a half hour and then the Bobbi pins put in started falling out. And the can of hair spray she used gave me such a bad rash on my scalp that I'm still trying to recover 5 days later! Not to mention that it was a hair style that reminded me of the exact style I wore to my senior prom 15 years ago. Had she not already spent an hour and a half, made comments about the color of my hair being off (funny brcause I get it colored at an Ulta closer to home...) and it needing trimmed, I would have had her fix it but I was just over it. While the selection at this Ulta location is larger than the Sephora inside of Penney's, I would rather forgo a product or order it online than purchase here. I have rarely gone into this location of Ulta and been given a direct offer of service and many times the saleswomen seem to pick and choose who they want to assist. I am a consistent buyer of beauty products (easily hundreds a month) and compare the service of Ulta to Sephora. Additionally, the amount of time that you may wait in line at this store can be ridiculous on a sale day. Two registers open on a high traffic day seems like poor decision making. I didn't think I would use yelp to review a retailer but I have felt strongly about the lack of customer service at Ulta in Midlo for some time. read more

I go into ulta today to kill time but to go get my summer face products considering the sun has already tanned my skin. I walked around at first not needing anything, but no one was there to ask if I needed anything anyways so that was okay. It got to the part where I was in one section for 30 minutes and 2 people were already helping others and when one of them was free completely disappeared and I had actually needed help thinking she would come considering I was just waiting until she was done with the other customer by her. The people that work in this store are RUDE!! When I first entered, I ask the young african American lady if she worked there & her response was "Yes, but I'm off right now!"! I said, oh, I just wanted to know where the restroom is. She said, back there and to your left. I walked back to the area, which was near the salon & ask the lady if the restroom was back here, she said yes back there! Very unprofessional!!! My thin, poorly shaped and over-plucked brows were in desperate need of attention and I didn't know where to go. I took to the internet for insight and came across some reviews for my local Ulta, and many of them referenced this magical brow wizard named Caitlin. My instincts told me she was who I (and my sad brows) needed to see. I called the store and just by pure luck she was working. Fate!! I was able to make a same day appointment and took off to see her. She did not disappoint. She had me at "goth princess". Caitlin has a great sense of humor and made me feel at ease despite my nervousness and embarrassment (you guys... my brows are rough... No lie). I love that she was so knowledgable and passionate about her work. She discussed the best course of action to get my brows to a good place and mapped them out. She showed me what I'd never seen before; there are hope for these babies! I left with feeling educated about what I needed to do and excited about the possibility of having beautiful, fuller brows. I definitely recommend her and I'm happy to add to the multitude of great reviews that sing her praises. She's definitely the Brow Guru! So go see her. NOW. You'll be glad you did! read more

Apparently ULTA believes that they do not need to serve people with disabilities. I have, and need, the assistance of a service dog. I was stopped at the door and told that ULTA's policy was to not allow service animals to enter the store because of OSHA. I explained to the manager that OSHA had nothing to do with the ADA and that their corporate opinion was, in fact, discriminating. She smiled and asked me to leave. Simply put, I was refused service because I am disabled and require the assistance of a highly trained canine. read more

I've stopped in here a few times since moving into town. I concur with previous reviews in that the customer service can be hit or miss. It's not been "poor", but they can certainly stand to have training to improve the customer experience. Coming from Northern Va and then living in Las Vegas, which is likely the "customer service capital", being serviced here leaves as a lot to be desired. I'm accustomed to politely declining assistance more than once while shopping... or accepting it where necessary. I've never been offered assistance here. The good thing is that I've not needed it. I'm giving them 3 stars for ease of access/location and store stock. Typically, at checkout cashiers at other stores will drop a sample or offer in the bag... offer an alternate to the promos if their out, but here nothing ;-/. I had to make the suggestion and was provided with something semi comparable after receiving a bunch of undesirable excuses. This store is HORRIBLE. The employees stand around chatting and when you do decide to interrupt them if it not the line of make they specialize in they do not offer to get you the correct person. The makeup area is filthy, low on stock and the lines are always long.. It is no wonder that once you know the product that works best for you that you opt to order online next time. If I could give zero points I certainly would. Although there is a large selection at this store, I would rather go to Sephora where I can get helpful and nice sales people to help me. I walked into this Ulta location and no one approached me. I finally found a few salespeople in a corner chatting and asked for a particular lip moisturizer I was told they carry and two different salespeople told me they have those scattered all over the store and that was it. No one offered to help me look for it. I left and went to Sephora and even though the salesperson was busy she took the time to show me all the items they had. I spent $210.00 that day at Sephora. I've been to this Ulta many times. The customer service is hit or miss, sometimes good, sometimes bad; unfortunately, today was yet another miss. When you ask if something is in stock to be looked through and simply told, "I don't know," with no research is the worst. I'm not sure if some understand that customer service means [good] service to all, but hey you win some, you lose some. Overall, as with many cosmetic stores as of the YouTube revolution, Ulta has a slim selection, with most items having been swatched many times over. I find myself asking each time I visit in vain, why don't they simply have a tester for each cosmetic item? Sigh.... I'm still a makeup junkie and until I learn how to cook-up my own foundation, gloss and bronzer I will simply have to risk the potential - I didn't want to come to work today - attitude of some of the employees, or sadly shop online only, wah wah. I'm not sure what these other yelpers are talking about, I have consistently had great experiences at this store. I usually go at lunchtime, so I can't speak to how the store runs during high traffic times, but I have always left pleased when I have gone. The staff has always been nice, but my favorite is a young woman with long, pale red hair (sorry I don't know your name!) She spent 20 minutes helping me find a good eyeliner and brow filler, and very skillfully applied them to me. She praised my abilities and helped me learn a few new tricks, too. As a result, I've spent hundreds of dollars at this store and will probably spend hundreds more. Highly recommend! read more

I went in looking to find my correct foundation shade, but when I asked the sales lady for help and told her I was interested in a Maybelline or L'Oreal foundation, the lady scoffed and said that she could only help if I wanted to buy a $30+ foundation. She told me she couldn't help me because there were no testers even though there were for both. She quickly held up random foundations to my face, handed me her "best guess" and then retreated back to gossip with her fellow employees in the high end section of the store. She clearly wanted to spend as little time as possible helping me and the shade she gave me was way off. Her makeup wasn't even good. read more

My friend and I had a wonderful experience at this store. We stopped in looking for new makeup. Kelly was very helpful. She helped us pick out the type and color makeup for the look we were trying to achieve and then showed us how to apply to get a professional look. Checkout was a breeze.
