Walked in and three employees were standing in the very front of the store. Not one acknowledged me. They decided to talk amongst themselves instead. NEVER have I been to an Ulta store in my experience where I wasn't greeted with a friendly smile and asked if I needed help with anything. (I usually frequent the Pleasant Prairie and Racine locations, I work nearby this location and will definitely not go back). When you finally get some assistance, you just get condescending, rude remarks and snobby looks like they can't believe that you're wasting their time. The employees attitude left a sour taste in my mouth... I love all things Ulta but I will go out of my way to drive to a store where the employees are excited to engage with customers and the atmosphere is fun and happy. read more

Ulta has alot of quality brands available. But let me say that the beauty salon is great. The price is compatable with other upscale salons. The cut I got was just right for me and the gal was skilled. I felt comfortable and for the first time is a long time I got the cut I wanted. read more

I'm giving 3 stars for the makeup stock they almost always have what I need,other than that I just avoid the employees at all costs because yes most of them are snobby, catty, customer service lacking dbags(store manager is very nice though)..I suggest doing your own research on products reviews before you buy dont necessarily trust an employees recommendation read more

I used to love shopping at Ulta. Now I will never shop there again and take my business to sephora. From multiple messed up online orders to a horrific customer service experience in their salon, I cannot warn you enough to stay away. The salon manager is so unprofessional and clearly does not have management experience or care about customers. Stylists there talk about other stylists playing hooky from work right in front of clients. Avoid this place!!!!! read more

Liz is a shining example of what a hairstylist should be. She has been doing my hair for over a decade. She's simply amazing. She can take an idea for my hair, say... P!nk's and she will work her magic and make the hairstyle work for ME! I am lucky to have her make me look good, wether it's brunette or bleach blonde. She's a treasure. read more

I love Ulta , but the customer service here has become awful. I literally had someone tell me she couldn't help me because she didn't know anything about Clinique. She then went on to talk about it for several minutes. I was so mad at that point that I didn't even listen. So, do your research prior to going here, because you might get some sass back idiot working the day you go. I'll return but I will do the research before I go. read more

I love this place for makeup but definitely not hair. I got my hair done and I showed a picture and everything. My hair was way past my shoulders and really long. The photo I showed was a girl with hair a little past her shoulders. I told the stylist I didn't want my hair that short I kinda just wanted about 2 inches cleaned off and styled.I wanted to keep my hair at a medium/long length. The problem was as soon as she started snipping she snipped so much hair off that it reached my shoulders at way shorter length then the actual picture. Not only was I super disappointed but my hair looked nothing like the pictures I had shown. It was a completely different style and length. I was fairly upset with how my hair looked. There was tons of layers that didn't blend well. I have very thick hair so doing layers on top of layers makes my hair look very big which I didn't want to begin with. Although the hair shampoo and conditioning made my hair super soft I was mostly upset over the length and style. Not to mention I picked the most expensive stylist because I wanted my hair done the way I wished it was. Very disappointing experience overall. read more

I went in on lunch today all excited to purchase a bunch of new makeup. I needed help with someone who works there to find my color match. I waited for over 20 minutes and nobody helped me. I even asked 2 women for assisting, they were working with other customers and said they would be with me in a moment. It didn't happen. After they were both done with those customers, they went on to help other customers and I was completed ignored. I felt it was very rude, and I ended up walking out of the store and not purchasing anything. They would have made a huge sale if someone would have acknowledge me and helped me purchase the right color makeup. read more

Have been shopping here for awhile and they have always been friendly and very helpful. Not today!!!!! The person that helped me in makeup did not have a clue. She read what was on the sticker/box. The checkout girl was extremely rude. I bought some big sexy hair travel products. Sign stated 3.00 each. When I got to the checkout. It didn't ring one of them up as 3.00 but 7.00. I explained that the sign said travel sizes 3.00. She stated that the register rung it up as 7.00 so it had to be 7.00 and she just looked at me. She did not offer to check it until I said the sign said travel sizes 3.00. She then got in her wireless and while rolling her eyes she said a customer picked this up in the wrong place and says it's on sale. Apparently not all the travel sizes were on sale. Of course that was in little print. (I will never learn). So I said ok I'll take the other hairspray that's 3.00 then. Now a store person had to be by the sign but didn't offer to bring one up so I had to go get it myself and the sales people were still there and she pointed out the tiny print. I said they shouldn't have the stuff that's not on sale by the sale sign. She was also rude and said it's where they go. So I went back up to finish checking out and she rang the new one up at 3:00 and told me my total bit never took the previous one off which I had not gotten. I mentioned this to her and she said well if you do t want it I'll take it off again rudely. At that point I should have just walked out but I paid for my stuff and left vowing never to go back...... read more

Ulta stores in general always seems to run low on products and take their sweet time replacing. My second complaint is that if you see a deal advertising a certain percentage off your purchase with the opening of an Ulta card account - be forewarned you will not get the percentage off of that days purchase but a "FUTURE" purchase...because for some reason their credit service needs time to check all your bank info - unlike other stores like Macy's etc who will usually be able to clear you for a new account right at the register when you're checking out. And I don't think the Brookfield store is any reflection on customer service. Overall no matter what Ulta store you go to in the US, there will be staff that are rude AF in these stores. It's almost like it's a job requirement when they interview. Plus - I don't need 5 people asking me if I need any help while I'm in there looking at the items. Once is enough. read more

I love all of their beauty products, this is the only place I shop for mine! But I got my hair cut and colored there before, I would never recommend going there. The girl who did my hair was very nice but none of the color put in my hair stayed, it literally washed out during my rinse. I was very unhappy and told her I just wanted a refund for the color but would pay for the hair cut. She refused to give me a refund for the color and I ended up paying over $250 for a hair cut and color that washed out I could have gotten better at cost cutters. All in all their products and supplies are great but would not recommend their salon! read more

I would say Ulta has great selection, however, this particular location is ALWAYS out of products I'm shopping for, be it hair care, cosmetics, you name it. The nail polish area is always messy and completely picked-over. I spoke with a manager about some of the empty shelves and she said it would be three weeks before more product came in. THREE WEEKS? I could order it online and have it shipped faster than three weeks. You can use the $3.50 off $10 coupons online so if that is your main motivation for shopping at Ulta, I'd recommend their website. Alternatively, there is a new Ulta in Waukesha on Sunset, I've been there a few times and their store is not as picked-over as the location on Bluemound. read more

I have been coming to this location for years. Everyone is friendly and helpful. I decided to use the hair Solon because my hairdresser that I have used for years had passed away. I spoke to the manager and I was specific as to what I wanted and also told her that I wanted my hair to stay similar to what it is now. I did indicate that my current hairdresser passed. She was the stylist I was assigned to. I arrived at my appointment and we discussed what I wanted and she suggested a few things. I agreed and asked for a quote. She came back with $231 for high lights, low lights , toner , and a cut. That is way out of budget. I have been to high end salons and never paid that. She found some discounts but it was still $176.00. Both of us we getting frustrated and I grew nervous about her doing my hair. I told her that during our phone conversation I was specific as to what I wanted I asked if she recalled our conversation and she said no because she talks to alot of people..WRONG, when you are trying to establish a new relationship . Then she discussed just highlights by that time I was ready to leave but I needed to get my hair done. While she was mixing the color, she then asked me if my former hairdresser was pregnant and that's why she couldn't do my hair...WHAT?!? I couldn't believe my ears, I was so insulted. She brought the store manager over and all she offered really to to find me a different hairdresser but my hair wouldn't get done that day..forget it! I can do it myself. I am waiting for the GM to call. To me it's a ripoff to use the salon. It's a chain to store with high end prices and awful customer service skills. The brow bar is nice. read more

Let me just start by saying, I never write reviews. I specifically signed up to write this review for the Brookfield Ulta location. My fiance and I stopped in this evening tot quickly grab a tube of liquid eyeliner. We walked in and went straight for the shelves and every single eyeliner pen was gone; we then tried other shelves/other brands, and still, every single tube of eyeliner, gone. There were nothing but empty shelves. We searched for an employee to help us but no one was to be found - however, there was a group of employees settled in the back, all talking and laughing about their eyebrows and other such nonsense. It was so bad, that another customer actually came up to me begging for help, asking me if I'm an employee. Unfortunately, I had to tell her no & that I too was hoping for some service. I am chronically ill & face debilitating pain and fatigue (which may not be very obvious by looking at me) and even running a simple errand can be exhausting. I just wanted a tube of eyeliner, any brand at this point, and to just go home. My fiance and I, after searching for an employee still, finally found an eyeliner pen, grabbed it and were on our way out. I decided to stop by and grab a contour kit on a whim, on our way to the counter, and of course, no stock left on the shelves. Of course the display was there, but no stock whatsoever. This would've wound up being a $100 purchase, but they somehow fail to keep stock on the floor and the employees do not care much to help. Finally, completely fed up, we made it to the counter. As we were getting our item rung up, the girl behind the counter proceeded to ignore me (the one purchasing the item) and very obviously and without a shred of shame, hit on my fiance. In between making suggestive comments to my fiance and giggling with the cashier next to her, she finally managed to hand me my bag and let us leave. Not one time, throughout all of this, did she act respectful or professional, in any way, shape, or form. I was, and honestly, still am, completely flabbergasted by this particular employee and her overt flirting and refusal to help or pay attention to the customer she was "taking care of". This was quite honestly, one of the worst shopping experiences I've had in quite some time. The stock on the floor was awful, empty shelves and containers everywhere, the employees do not do their job, do not help customers in any way, and if you do happen to even catch one's attention, you're met with condescending looks and snarky giggling to their coworkers while staring right at you. The cashiers up at the front know nothing of customer service and they certainly know nothing of professionalism. I am embarrassed, angered, and quite frankly, amazed at my experience in this store. I do not think I will ever be returning again. Luckily, there are other locations in the area, but to be honest, I'd drive an hour away just to avoid going to this particular store. I so regret wasting energy on visiting this store. When I am not physically able to go on more than a few outings a week, I have to make sure that they count - and sadly, this was a waste. read more
