I shop here only because there's nowhere else to buy higher end makeup. The store is a mess with boxes and displays always clogging up the aisles. There seems to be no rhyme or reason for where things are located and it can be tricky trying to find what you're looking for. If I go in looking for a specific item, I would say 9 times out of 10 they are out of stock. Really frustrating. I went to Krystal at the beauty bar. She is great and super friendly. I was really nervous about getting my brows waxed but she mapped them out, meaning she drew were they are supposed to be according to your face shape, and told you what she wanted to do and asked if you if that was okay. She matched my uneven brows and they look so much better. She did however wax them a little thin to my liking. It was $21 for the waxing and she also fixes your makeup afterwards. read more

I never make bad reviews.. I hardly ever review but this is the 3rd time I've gone into ulta in corvallis looking for help with a new foundation. Sadly....each time I have had to ask for help and no one ever comes. I get tired of waiting and leave because it's just not worth it... no big deal, life goes on. But I just left there tonight and had to yet again ask for help... wait about 5-7 min before a gal walks out of the back, I start walking up to her with 3 different foundations in my hand and she proceeds to walk right past me to offer help to the 3 college girls who were just standing there talking. It was the last straw. I'm done. I will go back to driving to salem and take my money to Nordstrom and the MAC counter. I gave you multiple chances Ulta and you failed.... miserably read more

I have shopped here a time or two but tried some services for the first time today. I had a hair appointment at a different salon and they canceled on me last minute. I spent all afternoon looking for a place that had a spot open, and Ulta was the only place that had some time for me. I am SO glad that the other place canceled! Tosha went above and beyond to get me into an appointment today. Grayce did the color service on my hair and she was AMAZING! She was fun to chat with and did a great job on my hair. I decided to try the Benefit Brow Bar while I was there, Krystal waxed my brows and showed me how to shape them right. She was super attentive and also super fun to talk to. All the ladies were incredibly patient and friendly. I am so happy with my experience that I booked follow up appointments with both ladies. If you are looking for a place with excellent customer service accompanied by genuine and friendly people, this is the place! Thank you all for making my afternoon so great!! The store is great for purchasing high end beauty products and that's it. There is no "customer service" when I go in. If I have question I have to search for an employee. I would not recommend the salon to my worst enemy. I got my hair cut and colored there a year ago and had to get it fixed by the manager later. I was charged $140 for a trim and my hair color looked exactly the same as it was before she colored it. I showed the lady a picture of how I wanted my hair and it turned out nothing like it. Skip to a year later, I was in need of a simple trim (just about an inch off to get rid of split ends) the lady cut 5 inches off my hair, better yet it there was about an inch difference in length from my left side to my right side! The manager wouldn't get me in to fix their mistake with anyone. I had to drive from Corvallis to Keizer for their salon to fix it. I called customer service (which I never do) and all they did was say "sorry". I was so disappointed. read more

This store sucks. I don't know why I keep shopping here, when I usually end up leaving pissed off. As many other negative reviews have stated, their "customer service" consists of EVERY person that walks by asking you if you need help, then hovering around acting like you're going to steal something. Which is what other reviewers have mentioned, either being scrutinized/harassed, or neglected because of their age/looks/etc. Which is pretty much what I suspected, and why I avoided even going in here for so long. But then I got sucked into their "rewards", and finally went in - only to discover their "customer service" was exactly what I figured it would be. One time after I first started shopping there, the person came by to tell me they were closing in 5 minutes, and asked if there was anything she could do to "expedite my shopping trip" I was like, uh...no...I was just looking for something to buy, so I could leave...while she just stood there, so I finally just went to a different section. Seriously...um, maybe if you people stop asking if we're finding everything, EVERY time you walk by, and stop to give us the whole, "we're closing in 5 mintues, blah blah blah" routine repeatedly, and try to have a whole conversation about what we're "looking for", maybe we could actually find what the hell we came in for and leave your fucking store. Seriously. It always perplexes me how customer service people seem to have no perception skills, or awareness of which customers want to be left alone, and which ones actually want help. I've spent hundreds of dollars in this store, and am still treated like a bum or a suspected shoplifter. And the ONE time I tried to return something, (which was just past the 60 days) I was informed by the person (who apparently doesn't know her job, just like most of them), that they could only give me the lowest price in the last 90 days, which was half what I paid for. When I objected, she said that's just their "policy." Sure, you can make up anything you want and claim it's your "policy", so you can rip people off. So, I went on their website to look up their full return policy, and in fact, NOWHERE does it state, that you will only get the lowest price over the last 90 days...it says you will get store credit for returns after 60 days, so NO, it is NOT ok to claim it's your policy, and then hide behind that. If that's your "policy", then it needs to be IN WRITING. Otherwise, you're just trying to rip people off, and if it's not IN WRITING, then you need to honor what IS IN WRITING, AS YOUR "OFFICIAL POLICY". Is this rocket science or something? Another time before that, I went in to buy some things that were on sale - I tried to use a coupon, then she said I couldn't use the coupon because they were on sale. Uh...really? I then tried to give her a different coupon, which she apparently thought was the same one, and said "it's not gonna work, because they're on sale." Um, how stupid do you think I am, that I'd try to give you the same coupon. And she didn't even scan it, to see if it would work...so I wondered why, so I went online, put in the coupon...and what do you know, it worked! Imagine that. Not only that, but I was able to place multiple orders, using the SAME coupon (If you try to use the same coupon more than once in store, they say, oh, it looks like this has already been used.) So apparently they either don't know their job, or they just try and rip people off. Then, on my last visit, the same girl (Sam) came by to tell me they were closing in 5 minutes...then 3 minutes later, came by and said "We're closed now, so if you have any purchases better bring them to the front, or I'm gonna have to ask you to leave." Seriously? You're not even closed yet, (there were still people checking out) and this is your "customer service"? Telling people to leave, who have spent hundreds of dollars in your store? I would again refer to my previous statement, that maybe if you spent less time repeatedly asking people if they need help, when they clearly don't want or need your "help", we could probably get out of your store faster. I'm so sick of this snooty-ness, disguised as "customer service", which many other people have experienced, as evidenced by their negative reviews. After numerous unpleasant experiences such as this, I'm done being nice. I'll probably keep shopping here because it's close, and as other reviewers have mentioned, there isn't much else, but if they want to be rude and snotty, I can be just as rude back. ;) I mainly come in because I get coupons for free items, but half the time they don't even have the items, even if you have 2 or 3 different coupons, they "claim" not to have any of them...which is ridiculous. I got so sick of wasting my time coming in there to buy something, when they don't even have the free items on their coupons that THEY send you, that now I just put back whatever I was going to buy and walk out. read more
