Unfortunately the color was discontinued but she was able to price check other items and offer suggestions. I truly felt like a valued customer. I just received the most awesome customer service from the staff here! Not only did they save me money, everyone was so friendly. I actually came in on a whim while waiting to meet my son. I received a 20% off coupon (even on prestige brands) via email, so I went in to pick up one of my favorite Benefit Cosmetics mascaras. Benefit has a few mascaras that I use and while deciding which one I was going to get, a sales person came over and mentioned the "together at lash" pack. The pack includes 3 full sized mascaras (bad gal bang, yes they're real & roller lash) for $36!!!! The regular price for each one is $25, so the value is AMAZING!!!! I literally would've never known about this deal if it weren't for the awesome sales person (forgot her name). Since I was saving so much, I also purchased some liquid eyeliner and an eyeshadow. The ladies at the register were also very pleasant and helpful. The store was very organized and clean as well. I tried to fix this situation with manager ! After paying almost $400 are you going to let the client walk out with color on their skin, my hair was supposed to be chocolate brown with highlights, it is now bronze with orange on the side! my hair color corrected-if you are going to charge $80 an half hour, Your colorist should know how to handle the problem. One of the biggest problem that I had is when I went back to sink to have my hair when washed the water was too hot it burned I said some thing, it happened again a second time, my husband told Keisha about this and the response was every one's head is different for some it might not be too really?! It then happened again when we went to the shampoo bowl! I had to say yet again this hurts!!! Was basically told I could be too sensitive! When she was straight ironing my hair she burned the back of my ear that was my fault too?I came in with fantasy color of green it was more like teal, She said they were going to try color remover, everything should lift out pretty well which It did I explained that If we could achieve highlights, I did not want a chunk of root but all blended (Highlights where not blended properly!!! when I pulled back my hair it should be blended. She went ahead and applied the color remover that was left on my head, It did leave green on the ends so she explained that she was going to use a chocolate brown that had some red in it, because red cancels out green. She colored all my roots first, she asked the other colorist what was the easiest fastest way to do it ...to do the foil first, or do the color first? She wasn't asking about color corrections she was asking about simply how to apply color or foils to the hair?! She put the foils in, she put two foils on the side of my head by my ears. During this whole thing I had color all over my face neck After coloring the roots and putting the foils in, she ran color through the rest of my hair. You can tell the color that it was supposed to be it looks like a beautiful chocolate brown while it's processing! While I was sitting in the chair waiting for everything to process the foils had lifted, it took out all the green, I was very happy. I had beautiful platinum highlights! I expressed at that time so did my husband that we probably shouldn't tone it-she said we could leave it if I wanted to but she would recommend that we do a clear toner if nothing else. Walking to the back I asked her what she thought I should do, she told me in her professional opinion that I should tone it , she wanted to put a golden yellow color in that would complement the chocolate brown. When she came back to the bowl with the toner it looks like a bottle full of color , it looked creamy I've never seen toner look like that! Something went wrong, when she applied the toner and left it for 30 minutes while she went to go eat lunch, after rinsing it out and after blow drying it after flattering iron it was like a bronze color... the highlights were gone, the side of my ears there was one strip of orange with a little bit of black! I had been there for hours and I just wanted to get out of there! When she turned me around for the big reveal I was shocked! It look like it was all one solid block of color, the highlights were gone. In hindsight I should've said some thing right there but I was so frustrated my head was hurting my ear was hurting I was done. I called today to talk to a manager and so did my husband and instead of offering a refund which you should've done on the fact alone that she BURNED me 5 times Miss Keisha , you kept correcting my husband and myself defending the stylist. The stylist had only been a colorist for two years, it seems to me it should be left up to the master colorist to do a color correction? Obviously the client does not come first at your salon!!! I would've been more understanding if you had offered anything an apology, A partial refund, but you blaming me after talking to my husband and myself, I should not have to ask the stylist to turn the temperature down on the blow dryer when I say owe that's HOT! I nn should not have to tell the stylist to make sure she checks the water temperature before putting it on my head when it burned me the first time! I have been to many salons over my lifetime and I've never been burned with a straightener! I contacted my Ulta salon where I live they immediately agreed that if I wasn't happy it should be fixed No if Ands or butts! I wanted you to act like you cared! obviously there where things that went wrong and Keisha YOU SHOULD HAVE BEEN VERY APOLOGETIC NOT BLAME MY HEAD! I have never been to a salon where I was burned so much! , I don't think stylist she did it on purpose messing up the color, she has inexperience. I'd give this rating a zero if I could. Unfortunately, I don't live far from this Ulta so it's my only option close to me. I've been shopping here since they opened a couple years ago and it's the SAME ol' story every time I walk in. Walk into the store- no one says anything to you, get to the counter, they look and act like they hate their job - and they NEVER tell you how many points you have accumulated on your card. THAT makes me upset. I spend at least $750/year in there and they can't even recommend I use my points?! Yesterday, 4/21/18, I walked into the store, and the manager was standing there in a black suit and looked up at me and back down at his phone. I love shopping at Ulta. It's like a Walmart for beauty products but with a great rewards program. There are three Ulta locations equal distance to my home. I have had good experiences at all of them. Lately I have frequented the Arbor Place location more than the others. I've had to throw out much of my skincare and makeup because my skin has changed due to chemotherapy. It seems I am in the store weekly. The beauty consultants are very helpful at directing me to products I've researched beforehand or while in the store. However, they could use training on ingredients and many of the less popular products they carry. I've also discovered the app has been inaccurate in showing products at the store when they are actually out of stock. It's best to call before going or save a trip and order online. If I'm looking for skin matching or personalized help, I usually go to another Ulta location or the competitor. read more

So I went to to try this place out on Sunday with monique. It turned out so bad. For the amount I paid for this was definitely not worth $85. I had high expectations especially this being a big chain of beauty products. However I did not get offered a discount no refund was available she did nothing to fix the color patches in my hair. UPDATE: It has now been one month, and the manager never called. My one star goes to the cashier at the front of the store. She was warm, friendly, and greeted everyone as they came in. Let me start by saying I love Ulta. I have shopped at Ulta for many many years, but I have never been to this location. This location is not very old, and it is actually in the city in which I live. Even though it is convenient and close, I will never return. I will drive the extra miles to a better location. If I could give less than one star, I would. I have never shopped in a store where I have been so ignored. I just spent 25 minutes walking around every section of the store, and not one employee greeted me...not one, minus the cashier. I came in to try to find some facial products for my boyfriend. It took me a while to find a small men's section so I made many loops around the store. I passed both ladies in the makeup department several times. Also several times I stood around their section looking at various types of make up, perfume, and the men's section. While in the men's section I was directly across from both ladies. They stood there for a very long time speaking to one another making direct eye contact with me without saying a word. A lady older than myself walked into their section and she was greeted kindly and asked if there was anything that they could help her with. It honestly makes me wonder if it is my boring appearance today. I am dressed a little differently today as it is the day before Thanksgiving and I did not want to get out of the house. I put my wet hair up in a black cap, and happen to be wearing mostly black. This is not my usual garb; however, it was appropriate for the day. Nevertheless, that should not detract from assistance in a store. After telling the polite woman at the front counter that I appreciated her assistance, but got no help anywhere else in the store, I left. I called customer service and put in a complaint. The lady was very kind on the phone and assured me that my complaint would be heard by the manager at this location, and that they would contact me. She actually sent me a gift card to my email which was very nice. I am not a confrontational person, and do not like to complain, but I felt this was necessary. COME WITH A PLAN AND A COUPLE OF HOURS OF FREE TIME! This store is located in Arbor Place Mall on the lower level near the main entrance. I was very surprised to see it in this location. It reminded me of the Sephora stores that are really dominating the mall scene. Perhaps this is ULTA's first step toward competing with the competition. When it comes to inventory, this store appears to have it all, make-up, accessories, appliances, skin and hair care products and so much more. I also noticed that there appeared to be a full service salon at the rear of the store. This is the type of store that you visit with a plan or a list or you will just feel overwhelmed. I would also recommend that you arrive close to opening before there are a glut of customers and when you can ask questions and get assistance as needed. Today, the store appeared to have a skeleton crew, one cashier and one person on the floor. A store of this size should definitely have more staff available. I made a cursory visit and decided that I wasn't quite ready to tackle this beast. However, now that I know what they have to offer, I will be checking other locations closer to my home. This store is a nice "one stop" option for hair, skin and body products for those times when you need to visit the mall and have little time for subsequent errands. Check it out! read more

I'm giving this 5 stars just so people read it. Recently, (we're talking Dec. 23rd 2019 recently) I went to get my hair color corrected. I asked for it to be evened out since I had about four tones of blonde in my hair and some stubborn red that wouldn't come out when I used Color Fix. After being told on the phone that it would be about 2 hours worth of work and that it was $40/half hour, I was down. I got there, waited about 45 minutes for the lady to come in to start the correction and due to Ulta policy, while I was processing with both color eraser and later on with lightener, the lady left and walked around the store to sell since the cosmetologists aren't allowed to stand by their clients to check their processing. My scalp was burning and my stylist was no where to be found so I had her coworker call her over the PA and she came 15 minutes later to wash my hair out. I ended up leaving 5 hours later with severe chemical burns all along my hair line and a $365 bill that I had to take up to the front register. My hair was fried to shit, my skin was raw to the point where I couldn't brush my hair, let alone touch my scalp. I went in the following day to talk to someone about it and the manager was no where to be found. I left my name and number for her to contact me after the fact and she contacted me while I was at the doctor's office getting my burns assessed and as my doctor told me that I had severe chemical burns, the manager pressed on to the fact that it was "an allergic reaction to the product" and that they wouldn't give me a refund because they supposedly had camera footage showing that my stylist was by my side the whole time. It was an absolute nightmare and they didn't want to refund me a dime when I seriously could have lost all of the hair along my hairline. I have nothing against the stylist who did my hair because she was an absolute sweetheart but the policy being the way that it is is absolutely disastrous and it is pure negligence on Ulta's part. I visited the Arbor Place Salon for the first time today and was very pleased. My stylist was Treneice, and I received a wash and blow dry with a flat iron style. She was very knowledgeable about natural hair and explained every product she used. I was in and out in 1 hour. I will definitely be back. Great value for the money. read more

If I had a choice to put zero stars I would. This place sucks for anything other than just buying your makeup and beauty supply. I got my hair done ONCE by a lady with the last name Jones and she messed my hair up. Girl/Boy, I would not dare let anyone touch any hair or nails of mine. My hair still is growing out so I can go professionally get my whack job fixed. Never again will I get a cut & dye. My hair was cut off shorter than I intended and told the lady NOT to do & the awful, Oh the GOD AWFUL RED SHE PUT IN MY HAIR!!! I wanted it RED, It is ORANGE WITH ONE SINGLE WASH. I will start out saying I like the store. Its fun to go into and shop around. I have gotten my eyebrows done there a few times as well. They weren't wonderful but I didn't have complaints there. As for the hair salon, I would NOT go there. My beautiful hair just got a hack job. The young woman did not listen. I asked for a dramatic swing bang. Instead she literally took hair and just got a big chunk out. There is not style to it/ She asked if I wanted layers I said only a small amount, but what I got was a huge chunk missing starting from my chin to the ends of my hair. I was so upset. She also didn't blow it out completely she just ironed parts of it so it looked a mess. I kept my cool until I got home to see if I could fix it and there is no going back. It was really messed up. I called to see if the manager could fix it. She was kind enough to take me in and tried to fix it.She was really nice. She did what she could and I truly believe that. But its unmanageable and I hate it. I wear a head band and a pony tail to keep it out of my face, like its a disaster. I went in for a trim and I got about 4 good inches taking off. I was just at the Ulta in the mall & have never seen employees so unhelpful. I had to ask for assistance from two that where carry on a conversation rather than helping customers, for help. Then when I went back to the area they were in I was looking for something, they still were engaged in their conversation, but they managed to asked me if I needed help. FINALLY. Monique Peters in the salon is incredible!! I have never returned to the same hairstylist more than three times in the past due to having very difficult hair and never being satisfied with the results. This last weekend I returned for the fourth time and I don't think I will ever go anywhere else or use anyone else. She is phenomenal with coloring, cutting, and styling curly hair. I went in to purchase things for my 2 daughters (gifts), HONEST I have no idea what to buy or really works (I am just dad - lol) I walked around the store, saw a few maybe stuff but was lost. The Manager of the Salon saw me said hello & the 2nd time past, asked if I need some help. She showed me a few things then walked me over to a young lady and help me explain what they might like.
