Trisha was incredibly helpful, informative, and kind. Learning about makeup in my forties has been an experience. I've been working on accentuating my natural look and still want a little pop. Trisha asked questions and took the time to explain why some reds are more complimentary to my tone than others. She showed me the difference a lip liner can make and provided me multiple options with three products. I was more than pleased with my purchase and the service. I hope she's there if I go back. I've been going to their salon for years. I have seen the same stylist for years as well. I don't know what's happened but she totally screwed up my color. I have have highlighted hair with some low lights. I had 4 inches of regrowth. My hair is long and I asked for 4 inches cut off. When I showed her a photo of what I wanted ( similar to Jennifer Aniston) For color. When she finished I had GRAY HAIR!!! She then started cutting my hair even shorter. She said the toner must have sucked into my old highlights. I was horrified!! She asked me to come back 3 days later after washing it a few times and she would re tone it. I called the next day saying I couldn't wait. I was so embarrassed by the color of my hair. She had me come in the next day. She added another toner and it was WORSE!!! I was in tears now. She asked a color specialist to try and fix it. I told that woman I hated it and I wanted to just cover it with a darker permanent color. That's when Tia, the stylist that I've been coming to for years and the one who screwed up my color, said she would not work with me anymore because all I did was complain about her services on me and that my sister and I did this to her once before. Um.... my sister lives in Iowa and has NEVER had her hair done there, ever!!! The specialist took me outside to see if my color appeared different in the sun light.... which it didn't. She agreed, she saw what I was seeing. Ash GRAY!! She said to me, " I can't change the way my eyes see the color" . What??? So they are blaming me for my bad color? Really??? She ended up doing a darker toner which will wash out in a couple weeks and she told me to come back to her and she'd fix it more permanently. When I got home, I called my sister and asked her if I'm just not remembering this, but if she had her hair colored there with me? She said no, and why? I told her what happened. She is a cosmetologist... she said it's unacceptable that they charged me for that and they owe me an apology for how they treated me and a full refund. She called the salon and asked for the salon manager.... which wasn't there. She called her today and the manager completely backed up Tia and said she would not give me a refund!! I am going to talk to the district manager tomorrow before I contact corporate. If I don't get the apology and refund, I will sue them. I have pictures and witnesses who saw the gray. Do not go to this salon and certainly do not go to Tia. She has screwed up my hair before but admitted to it and fixed it right away. I never complained before this. This time, I'm not letting it slide. They had me in tears by blaming me for my bad color. Wrong answer!!! read more

Haley (I apologize if I spelled that wrong) was so incredibly helpful. She was beyond kind. I had a pick up order, when I went to the front of the shop there was a whole long line of other customers waiting to be checked out, so I thought I was gonna have to wait a little bit, which was fine, but Haley asked me (right away) if I had a pick up order. From then on, she was just an absolute angel, in the brief few minutes I spent talking to her she made me feel welcomed and she made me feel cared about. She even made sure that the eyeshadow palette I purchased had no cracks or abnormalities before I left the store. We had a okay experience while at this ulta some workers were extremely nice, but there was this one worker that was rude she was judging us, being rude looking us up and down with a disgusting look that made me and my sister very uncomfortable. This is a review for the salon itself. Read the other negative reviews - they are spot on. I chose to look past the negativity and give them a chance. As someone else stated, I should've just gone to great clips. I went in to get a haircut, more or less a trim with "long layers". My hair was down to my waist and it just needed a trim. McKenzie is the stylist that did my hair. I fully explained and showed pictures of exactly what I wanted. A V shape in the back, a tiny bit off the longest point, and a few long layers. I expressed over and over how I do not want much off the length since I don't like short hair on myself. She told me she 100% understood and was confident that she could do what I asked. She kept making remarks the whole time about she doesn't like the V shape on her own hair and she doesn't like layers on her own hair, etc etc. 30 minutes later and I end up with a VERY uneven cut and she did my layers in reverse. The hair closest to my neckline was cut to my shoulders and the hair on top of my head was the longest layer. I didn't realize any of this until that evening. I called immediately to get it fixed but they didn't have anyone available to fix it. I did come in on Easter and met Jordan, the manager, who admitted that McKenzie did a horrible job on my hair. She took photos for "training purposes" and then admitted that she couldn't fix my hair but hopefully one of the more experienced stylists had an idea as to how to fix it. She promised a refund, deep conditioning treatment AND an appointment with a different stylist to get it fixed free of charge. As soon as I got home, I got a text informing me she wasn't "allowed" to both give me a refund AND fix my hair. I took the refund. Breeley is the bomb! She hooked me up with a killer deal on some eye serum by Clarins. It's amazing, by the way! She also educated me on the ulta app and taught me how to get the best bang for my buck - which is so incredibly valuable these days. Thank you, Breeley! On a side note, she works the Brow bar there as well and offers amazing services that I didn't even know existed. This place hires great people who aim to please. I may be cheap, but I certainly appreciate talking to folks who are straight up with me rather than those whose only aim is to get me to spend as much money as possible. read more

I recently went to this ulta AGAIN after I was already irritated with the manager KATIE. The uneasy feeling she gave me the first time I was there was I describable and I felt terrible for the cowaorkers she was reprimanding infront if me and other guests for not helping this other client even tho two people were asking her employee questions ( I being one of them) after that I took note of her name. And of course our of desperation I have to run into ulta to get the st tropez express mist which clearly had defaults but it was the last one there and I NEEEDED IT! I asked for a discount since it was going to be a pain in my but to tape it so it didn't leak out the back end and she refused to discount me. In desperation I bought the product. As seen below you can clearly see that the first picture is how it should come and the second one is the defaulted one. Also came with no cap and was told that "caps fall off in shipment all the time" my argument wasn't that, it was that this was clearly faulty and I would need to tape the back down so it didn't back spray everywhere like it Initially did all over my hand and bathroom. Oh well my fault I needed it for this week but I am disgusted at the customer service by this girl for the 2nd time for me and who knows who else. It is clear as day this had faults to it and they just wouldn't budge. With it being the last one on the shelf I was felt forced to purchase and tape to try and minimize the mess. This is not a place for a facial. Boarder line incompetent. Hour facial took 38 minutes from check in to check out. Young girl was not knowledgable on skin conditons or contraindications for my rosacea was scrubbed and massged vigorisly. Thank you the broken capilaries! Bottom line is, the are just not educated or trained. The manager came and gave me a 10% discount ($6) for the shorted 22 minutes. Is it really a "discount" if I paid for something I didnt get? Im visiting from Florida and I forgot a few items. I thought a quick stop to Ulta would do the trick. I walked in the front door and almost choked back from the stink of mixed parfums. Then after walking a bit in the store itvwas so warm inside I honestly was so uncomfortable at the temp I asked a clerk about it and ahe just shrugged and said she couldnt help. I think you should take in account that older women also shop in your store and have elder women needs. I came in to get my hair done with my hair stylist faith. I have been seeing her for about a year and she is EXCELLENT. She is very personable and professional in what she does. The reason I'm giving it 3 stars instead of 5 is because of one of the managers there. I came in for a highlight which takes about 2-3 hours to get completed. While I was still processing one of the retail managers came up and told her that she needed to hurry up with me because we were closing in an hour. She's one of the older managers and is extremely rude to not only customers but staff. First off she isn't the salon manager so she shouldn't have said anything to her. I did an online order for curbside pickup, after picking it up I came home to realize I had been given the wrong product, a foundation instead of a concealer. The foundation was same brand and color of the concealer I purchased. I tried the foundation hoping to like it, but I didn't care for it.. Today I went to exchange the product with my receipt, and was told by the manager that there was absolutely no way that they could have made that mistake. She went on and on about how the online orders are processed. The product could only be returned at the lowest cost it has been sold within the last 6 months, so the only refund they could provide me with would be $2..... for a MAC foundation. I don't believe for one second that any MAC foundation has ever been $2. She recommended I keep the product, that they had given me by mistake because that was the only other option. This is my second bad experience within the last few months. My visit before this one I was charged for a "free" gift... I realized once I got home and had to turn around to go back.. I don't recommend curbside pick up unless you're ok with going back multiple times.. this is the worst customer service I have ever experienced. You better believe I will only go to Sephora from now on. read more

The only reason I come here is for a hairdresser named mena. The benefit eyebrow lady is rude. There is an older shaved woman who follows around anyone with dark complexion or speaking Spanish. She literally stood in the middle of the walkway to stare at my son and I while I was looking at makeup and he had a bath Bomb in his hand that I repeatedly told her I was going to pay for. At checkout I gave her a $100 bill and she held it up to the light FOUR different times and marked it with the fraud showing marker SIX different times! I was mortified because the bill was real and she was doing this with a line of people behind me! When I asked for a manager she said "no need I guess I'll accept it" and I got my receipt and ran out of there almost in tears! It's a bigger store so I loved it when it first opened but this one woman has ruined every visit in this manner. read more

I went to this Ulta beauty with a friend of mine who is getting her hair done. The reason I'm giving it three stars and not five is because while the customer service was exceptional and the salon staff were talented, generous, and thoughtful. The accessibility issue in the store cannot be overlooked. I am a wheelchair user and I had to have someone open the bathroom door for me because that door weighed so much that I physically could not do it by myself. Then on top of the embarrassment of having to have someone open the bathroom door for me to get in I had to knock on the door for someone to let me out when I was done. Again I reiterate the customer service and the staff are perfect but management or the owner of the establishment really needs to consider whether they want to receive an ADA compliance complaint. The bathroom door should not waste so much that a person cannot open it if they're in a wheelchair. Even the employees agreed that that door weighed too much and should be replaced with something that doesn't. Another issue on the accessibility side is that there are no push buttons for the entrance either so you either have to have someone help you open the doors or you have to finangle your way to open the doors yourself while trying to control your wheelchair. I understand that push buttons aren't always the most easy to maintain which is why many stores opt for sliding doors so that when a customer walks up to them they or rolls up to them they open. So in conclusion the store has great staff but I would give it a zero in accessibility. Improve the accessibility and I'll improve my post read more

I really try to avoid using this store because the staff is terribly rude. I popped in to pick up some hair products for a trip. Several of the items I picked out were buy one get one 50% off. The cashier Alexa rung me up. I thought the total seemed a little high so I asked her about the buy one get one. She hurriedly assured me it was rung up appropriately. I get in my car and look over the receipt in detail and it for sure did not give me the 50% off one of the items. This is not the first time I have encountered rude staff there, which is why I am taking the time to leave this review. You work in customer service so serve your customers with some kindness. read more

I walked in and was greeted by her. She rudely took my bag and started talking about me to the employee working the counter. I heard her complaining about my return. Isn't that the benefit of Ulta- you can return if you are not satisfied and have a receipt. What did I do wrong- I tried the products she recommended and they were not for me. Needed a facial and decided to try out this location. Had been to the Fort Collins location numerous times but since I had a few errands to run here, I thought this would be convenient. Parking: ample parking. Check in: quick Spa area: 1 star: if you're expecting a quiet, relaxing experience, you will be disappointed. The spa area is located right next to the hair salon. It's an enclosed area with a "wall" so there is no door. The open ceiling and curtain do not shut out any conversations from the spa checkin and checkout, hair dryers, traffic etc. In my 90 minute appointment, I learned more about all the customer's and stylist's stories than I care to know about. Ongoing phones ringing, one louder than the other. During this time I also heard a security alarm go off, and when I inquired about the nature of this, I learned that this security alarm was from a high end item. I'd expected this when someone leaves the store without paying, but I heard this for a good 5 minutes throughout the store. Ceiling light: I suspect corporate Ulta members have never had a facial here. You have a bright store light shining into your eyes, angled just so that you are forced to shut your eyes to maintain any level of comfort. Bed: no heated bed but they are happy to provide additional blankets. Esthetician: clearly she is new to the industry - nothing wrong and I recognize everyone has to start somewhere, but I will return in a few years when she has more time under her belt. I think by then she'd be more adept in truly assessing a client's needs instead of going through the motions of a given process. Finished product: my skin felt cleaner functionally but I won't be returning. I never expected a spa experience but my bench mark is the FoCo experience, and this failed. The Fort Collins location has a room away from the check in area and is a dedicated room with a door. This is a much more relaxing experience. The esthetician is more experienced as well. My friend and I had makeup done to our liking and we bought a bunch of products from Ulta. The place is beautiful and they have a lot of great makeup and stuff. The eyeliner I bought doesn't work. It's as hard as a rock and doesn't apply easily at all. My eyes are raw and burning after trying to apply for 20 minutes. It looks jet black but turns out light grey. Maybe because my eyelids are red from all of the rubbing. Too much money for such low quality. Very disapointed. read more
