Walk in a couple minutes late to my 4:30 brow appointment. No one was at the brow bar but I could see the wax machine was on and the needed items were laid out. So I stood and waited. A few minutes later an employee asked if I needed help. I apologized, said I was a couple minutes late for my appointment. Her response, "let me see if the brow lady is still here." Stood there a few more minutes. A different lady, I'm assuming the manager, walks up and said, " you have an appointment". My reply, "yes, it was at 4:30". Her reply, " Well it's 4:39. Let me see if she's still here." I bit my tongue and thought, how could she not be here, her tools are out. So I waited again. Manager comes back, "She's not going to be able to take you, there is a five minute grace period." My reply, "I was within the 5 minutes, when I came in no one was here and you and another person had to look for her". Her reply, " well I'm sorry I can't do anything about that. Would you like me to reschedule?" My reply, " no don't worry about it, I'm good". And this isn't the worst part. My husband was at the back of the store and heard the manager ask Whitney, the brow bar employee, if she could take me. Whitney replied, "I don't want to because she might make me late for my 5' o clock appointment." The manager agreed and replied, "I'll go take care of her." What horrible customer service. I walked in at 4:35 and it took them 10 minutes to figure out they weren't going to help me. Never going back. Ulta please ask your management to be more professional. read more

The only reason I go to this Ulta is because it is down the street from me. If it wasn't close, I would NOT be going here! Customer service is horrible, it is not well stocked and clean compared to other Ulta's, and the check out line is always horrible because they have one person at the register. Waited 15+ minutes once. Furthermore, I went in last week searching for a new foundation and mascara, and no one offered any advice, help, anything. By far, the messiest and unorganized Ulta I have ever been to. It's so unfortunate because they carry a large selection of some of the brands I love but everything was out of stock or it wasn't in the correct spot. When looking at multiple brand areas, I ran into the same problem: product was on the shelf but it was not the product that I was looking for. That product wasn't put in the correct location. Many employees were working when I arrive and the store was not busy at all. Some of the employees should've been greeting guests or at least restocking and going around cleaning the displays. Went back tonight. They get one star for honoring an expired sale sign that was still up. Other than that, still crap service, still crap store. I saw several filthy shelves (shampoo spillage) and many ripped open make-up packages. In an effort to make small talk with my cashier after needing some assistance with using the debit vs credit option, I said "Yeah, at some places you have to press cancel an order to use credit." to which she replied in a monotone voice "Ok. When I walked in there were 2 employees on the registers got what I needed within 10 minutes. As I stood in line for about 15 minutes, 1 employee jumped off the register to count money right in front of 5 of us waiting in line. I stood in line a bit longer but decided to leave what I was going to buy, none of the two cashiers attempted to get the line moving by calling another one of the 8 employees on the floor. I am a regular here but I hate to go to the one in Stockton. They never have sample. They are always out. Whoever is the REAL manager here needs to get corporate to send more qty of samples or substuite it. I don't care about the horrible line, customer service, etccc. I want my samples! They are also always out of stock (empty shelves). Management/corporate needs to provide more stock. The Salon at Ulta is amazing!! Went in today to shop and decided to get a spontaneous haircut. I didn't have an appointment and LissaLynn welcomed me with open arms. She was so sweet and attentive. Everything was amazing, from the wash, to the cut, and the blowout. I love how my hair came out!! She knew exactly what I wanted. Will definitely be going back to her for my hair care needs. I tried to like this store with the few trips I've been there but they don't make it easy. This is a pretty big store with tons of beauty supplies. How do you only have one person working on the floor, especially on the weekend. And one cashier working a line. I went in looking for blush by Tarte, all the floor samples were gone. Which is twelve or fourteen blushes. I needed help and the only person was a lady helping this guy out for twenty minutes. By that time I had already found something else I was looking for I had to find on my own. I'll just stick with Sephora who has more workers and cashiers. I am all about supporting local merchants, but the Lodi location is poorly managed. I have been to this location multiple times and disappointed 98% of my visits. The shelves are empty,the floor manager has poor customers service and this store likes to close before 9pm or rush you out 30 minutes before actual closing time. Went in this morning to buy some skin care products and walked out in tears after being completely ignored by at least 3 employees. While trying to find what I needed I walked by one employee twice and thought she must not work there since she looked right past me. Then I heard her greet another customer. This review is for the facial I received here with Morgan. First of all this is the only Ulta I have seen with their own private room for skin services which was much more professional and relaxing. I was nicely greeted by Morgan who immediately gave me a bottle water then she went on to have a real in deph and educational conversation about my skin care needs and what she will do. I would go to this store fairly often, considering I'm a makeup junkie. The store is well organized and mostly well stocked. The staff has always been really friendly and made sure I was helped, unlike the stockton location. The manager on duty at the time of my most recent visit, Vanessa I think her name was, was so very helpful and knowledgeable about product that I feel confident as a consumer asking her for advice and beauty tips. Very disappointed with my shopping experience at Ulta. The last four times I have been in searching for a specific product they have been out of stock. The esthetician was very nice and asked if I needed help. She would check the drawer stock and the result was always the same...out of stock. Very disappointed, went into the store to get a eye brow wax and the esthetician was just standing at her station. I kindly asked for a wax and she after looking down at her book and clock she said she had to leave right when her shift is over and asked if I could wait fir the next esthetician to come in. This store is clean but never has half of what I'm looking for. There are never cotton balls or applicators in the sample area so in turn people stick their fingers in everything. The gay cashier has zero customer service abilities. He completely ignores his customers and instead of looking at his customer and engaging, he talks and chats and turns his back on you while he's talking to his coworkers about lipstick and eyeshadow. This is by far the best Ulta I've ever been to. I went in a month ago to find a solution to the puffiness under my eyes. Two very nice people helped me. I spent a good amount of money but the love the product and they also gave me samples to try and told me to return the cream for a full refund if I wasn't satisfied after 60 days. I just got my hair colored here with Morgan, who I've had cut my hair a couple of times before. I always love how she cuts my hair, and found out today that she is just as good at color! I showed her a picture of what I wanted and she said she would get as close as she could, while still making sure my hair wasn't being damaged. Some old color bands ended up appearing when it was lightened that she wasn't expecting, but she worked at it and the end result was so beautiful. Despite the unexpected difficulties, she got it pretty damn close to the original picture. And my hair still feels and looks healthy. Will definitely be coming back and recommending her to others. read more

I was disappointed when I went in to get my mom a specific perfume for mother's day. I was in a hurry and I saw an associate standing nearby with a head piece so I stood in front of her and waited for her to ask if I needed assistance. She looked at me and left so I said excuse me and asked her about the perfume. She looked noticeably irritated and let out a sigh as she pointed at the shelf behind me.
