My girlfriend was in desperate need of makeup and a few other items. She sent me a text message with nothing but general items because she could not shop herself. When I got to Ulta, a female representative met me at the door, being a man, I was panicked and so I asked her for help. The woman had such confidence she calmed me down and we proceeded to help me shop. After showing a picture of my girlfriend to the woman, she knew exactly what to pick out. My overall experience was great. I would recommend this location to anyone. I don't know the woman's name but I'm sure she will remember the guy who knew nothing about makeup, lol. Clean location, seems to keep the shelves stocked, I say this as other locations are often out of what she's looking for. This was my first time visiting this location. I was eager to see how it was because it is so close to my house. Unfortunately, I was disappointed in the service. All of the employees were hanging out at the registers, instead of being on the floor helping shoppers. Every time I had a question, I had to walk up to the front. It was a bit frustrating. The items are low in stock for many of the quality products. But they do ship the item to your house without a shipping fee for the inconvenience, which is nice. read more

If I could give no stars I would. I got my hair done here by Stacey and she completely RUINED my hair. I have a natural dark dirty blonde hair and wanted to go a lighter platinum ash blonde. She did my hair and roots last Friday well it didn't even look like I got it done after OVER paying $280, I was upset and called her to tell her that I didn't like my hair. I gave her an opportunity to re-do it and make it right. Well that was a huge mistake!!!!!!!!! She completely and utterly ruined my hair. It came out orange after she already toned it.(Mind you my hair was already blonde)!! I also spent 4 hours last Friday there and again today! I'm sorry but I don't have 4-+ hours to spend at a salon which is ridiculous. The GM Tonya is very rude and lacks compassion since I was in the middle of Ulta crying with orange hair. I came yesterday to get a gift card for a graduate but it turns out she already had a lot of ulta gift cards given to her so I decided to return the gift card and get her something else. I do not have an account with ulta, but I was never told that in order to return something you MUST have an account with them. I had both receipts for the gift card and they still wouldn't let me return the card. They only said I could do a store credit which defeats the purpose. I was a first time salon customer. I showed up 15 minutes early for my 10:30 appointment. I was told at 10:40 the girl doing my hair was late and she would be there soon. Another 20 minutes later (30 minutes after my appointment was suppose to start) I asked how much longer and all they could say is she's on her way. I was irritated but waited 5 more minutes and left. I went for the second time today and felt uncomfortable again. I was waiting on an online order I placed to pick up in store. I knew I needed a few more things and looked around. I found a lipstick, and instead of helping me, the associate watched me as if I were stealing. I put it back, and looked directly at her. I was ready to explode. As I waited for that "order ready" email, I moved to hair gels. There are so many but no single person can help. So I picked out what I thought I could use. I got to counter and the associate made me wait. I stood there while she stayed on remote system and talked to another employee about trash pickup. I was then told that it's 4 hours to get online items to front! Four hours. Apparently, my fault that I did not and still DO NOT see it in fine print. She got mad when I didn't get a credit card and I was overcharged for items up front that were on sale. I felt like trash a second time. This is a small town and seeing an Ulta is quite interesting. It's nothing more than an overpriced Walgreens. I'll never go back and this old woman does not complain. I just know that back in the day, if you didn't do well at your job, you were just told, "we don't need you, bye!" I cannot understand why dandruff dimwits treat customers so horribly. If I want it bad enough, next time I'll GO OUT OF MY WAY to pay shipping. That's how bad it is!! Now, I look at my account and see the items I got online had been paid. As an esthetician and cosmetologist, I go to ulta ALOT. I have been in this location several times prior to yesterday (sept 28) but this time specifically, I needed help. I was looking for a new foundation and knew what I wanted but I wanted another opinion. I also wanted to be color matched to a specific foundation lol but I literally could not get ANYONE to help me. I was walking around aimlessly obviously lost, and even tried to approach a group of girls all sitting at the Mac counter and not one of them asked if I need anything or even acknowledged I was standing there. I work in the customer service industry and I can GUARANTEE you that this is not good customer service. When I got to the counter with what I decided to buy, the cash register lady was so in depth in another conversation with another employee that she also didn't acknowledge me. Checked out my items and handed me my bag and didn't even say thank you have a nice day or anything. I live in Midlothian but I don't think I will come back to this store, I'll drive out of my way just to get better customer service. read more
