This Ulta store offers whatever the heart desires in the way of beauty! From makeup, self tanners, perfume, cologne, body wash, lotion, and everything for the hair, a gal or guy could get lost in here for a while. I love smelling the perfumes and trying to decide on my next scent. The staff is helpful and they always greet me. I love a friendly smile and a "hello" when I go into a store. There is a fun salon in the back although I have never gotten my hair done there -- they always seem to be having fun though! read more

About a year ago I had my hair done at Ulta and the girl literally butchered my hair. She made bald spots that are now difficult to grow hair in those areas. My hair always breaks off in those spots now. She cut and styled my hair but it was extremely uneven all over my head. She really tried to style my hair right but she just couldn't do it. I wanted a red color and she gave me a brown chestnut color accidentally because she didn't know how to color match. Another stylist helped her with trying to get the right color but they both just couldn't do it. I was told that they would color my hair the right color I wanted and style it right but I have not been able to go because I was waiting on a hip replacement. There was just no way I would have been able to sit for such a long time to get my hair done right. I'm wondering if I could still get it done although it's been a long time. If I could get someone to do it correctly then I would definitely change my review. read more

I like the products in the store. But during my last visit, I walked in and started looking for a specific product. Two other women walked in and were standing in the same area and the employee walked past me and asked them if they needed help. She never acknowledged or asked me. I went into a couple of different areas of the store. I had been in the store about 20 minutes before a manager with blonde hair asked if I needed help finding anything. She was very kind. It makes me feel that as a woman of color, I am not valued while shopping in this space. read more

I just about pass out every time I enter Ulta Beauty....not because of poor customer service....It's because of the fragrances that are repeatedly sprayed throughout the day. But, I wanted my hair cut and colored by a "professional" so bad that I battled through the God-awful cloud of perfume and body spray. I had an appointment to finally get my hair cut and colored. When I got there, the stylist thought the woman she already had in her chair was me! She was totally confused. I thought to myself 'get up and go, just go'. But, I didn't. I didn't get what I wanted done. My appt. time was later in the day and because of this, I believe the stylist didn't want to have to stay too late. She told me because I had home-colored my hair (almost a year ago!!!!) she was afraid to apply the color I wanted on my hair. Afraid?!?!! I should have bolted then. I left Ulta completely broke and mad. I got the color the stylist had time to give me, not the color I wanted, and had the money to pay for. read more

No issue with the selection available at the store. No issue with the layout or long lines on the weekends. The issue is what happens when you're at the checkout. This is the only location I've ever been to that doesn't offer your rewards balance upon checking out. You have to ask them to cash out your earned money. My experience this past Saturday was not great. The old, blonde, pregnant woman was very sweet upon first impression, however when she offered the credit card and I declined, she went into a speech about "what a bad decision that is on my part, because you get more points with the card." Okay, I understand that, but again I declined and this old lady took out her cell phone and started texting while I was checking out. I had to ask her to stop texting and apply my rewards. I can say I absolutely LOVE ulta but there is always one employee I always get who rings me up who never tells me about the $40 in points I have when I literally spend atleast $140 every visit. I would say maybe train the employees to up sell if they have credit cards with y'all we should know that we have points to use EVERY a time. I told this specific girl that I had a promotion on my phone and I wasn't sure how to do it her response was " well I'm not sure either" as a GM at a buisness I would a NEVER say that to a customer. Well organized, clean, appealing. I expected a bigger variety of hair clips, an item I was looking for but did not find.

I walked in not in my best look and no makeup on because I had so many chores to do. I was treated like an honored guest and Megan immediately helped me find what I was looking for. She took the time to help me find a better foundation than what I had originally planned I getting. Her color match skills were brilliant! I was worried about snooty sales staff judging me buy my looks but nothing of the sorts happened. I WILL be back for more purchases. Please use this store. read more

This West Mobile location of Ulta is smaller than the one across from the mall, but it is awesome! The staff is friendly and very helpful. I brought my sister there while she was visiting from out of town. She loved it! She had been wanting to try a specific brand of cosmetics and was amazed that she was about to try everything that she was interested in! She has highly sensitive skin, so she wanted to try the products before investing. No one pressured her to purchase anything! In fact, they loved that we were having so much fun! The good news is that she liked everything, so it was a big win for Ulta! I also like the generous return policy. If for any reason something does not work out, you can return it. Oh no. So I went in for my first keratin hair treatment, that my stepmom gave me a gift card for. (I'm 19 yrs old) anyways, it was my first time getting my hair done so I just went with the flow. After she (THE MANAGER OF THE SALON) put the product in my hair it started itching and burning and she told me not to worry about it. The next day my hair smelled foul. It smelled like an animal died in my hair. It was even worse in the shower and when it got wet. No matter how hard I tried the smell would not come out. My boyfriend couldn't even sleep with me in the same bed because of how bad the smell was. It actually smelled like garbage.I had to wrap my hair for 2 weeks until the foul odor started to go away. I am never going back here. First and last time. I also don't think the keratin treatment did anything positive for my hair because I never noticed anything. I booked an appointment with Dianna and needless to say I will be back as a regular client because she was extremely thorough and very personable. She was also very knowledgeable when it comes to hair color and I am very pleased with the results! I scheduled a wash blow dry at the Schillinger Ulta for my Mom's birthday. I booked tthe appointment 3 weeks in advance by phone. We decided to try Edward. We were disappointed that when we arrived we had to wait 30 minutes as they had overbooked the appointments. It also seemed there had been a problem with the previous clients hair and Edward was rattled, nervous, and apologetic . There were several other Ulta employees working and standing around and I asked if they could do the wash blow dry but they said no. This Ulta Store is poor. The staff is rude to the point of completely ignoring the customers. The shelves are disorganized and stock is not worth purchasing. Will not be spending my money in this location again. read more

I wanted to like this store. The other Ulta is wonderful. The people at this one are not friendly. When I bumped up my purchase to qualify for the free gift, it was exciting. I got home and the gift bag was there but it had no contents. I do not live out the way of the new store so I did not drive back that day. The next day I went to the store. The event had ended and the sign was down. I was told that the gift was only the makeup bag and no makeup. I never buy extra just for another makeup bag. I will not go back. read more

Went to see Alexis last week for a cut and color and could not be more thrilled! She is amazing and did an awesome job. She took the time to look through the pictures I brought in and listen to what I wanted. I am super happy with results and have gotten so many compliments.
