    Several staff walked by without asking me if I needed help. This occurred after I was in the store for quite a while. When my friend started helping me choose some makeup by testing it on me, a staff member stepped forward indicating that I could be color matched if I desired. I approached an employee (who had previously looked at me and walked right on by) where a product was. After correcting my pronunciation of the brand, she showed me where the product was. I wouldn't return to this Ulta.

    Logan gave me a BD look-lift! A recent graduate, heading for his licensing soon, then, on to create looks for all walks of life. Drag queen by night make up artist by day. Very happy that he understood. Mature woman's look. Good job, Ulta. Great Hire!!!

    Samantha concocted a gorgeous custom color with violet and gold balayage. My only critique is that I didn't expect the appointment to last for 4+ hours.

    Asked for a root touch up, assumed she would use a color that matched the rest of my hair, instead she gave me dark roots. Before photo on top. Also got hair color on my face, didn't put cotton or Vaseline around my face. Previous visit with different stylist I asked for noticeable partial highlights. Then she said "I need to touch up your roots". Then she said she remembered I had just gotten a haircut recently, but did I want a trim, I said yes. So $260 later......barely noticeable highlights, charged me for a Signature hair cut, highlights and color.

    I didn't know that Ulta had salon services, so I decided to give it a try. I showed up to my appointment early and spoke to the girl at the desk. I booked an appointment to get my hair colored and cut. I had a specific style in mind and showed the employee. She told me that she didn't have enough time to do it, which disappointed me because I was really looking forward to this. She bleached my hair and then told me that it wasn't a good idea to bleach it (I have had it bleached prior with no problem and I use healthy product for my hair), so it wouldn't of been a problem. She decided to do a darker color, which was more of a red-wine color. Not the color that I had originally wanted, which was plum. I agreed to this because it looked purple enough in the book. I thought maybe it would come through in my hair. WRONG!!! I have dark brown hair, so color rarely comes through unless bleach is used. I was charged over one hundred dollars for a color that I didn't even originally ask for and for something that is not noticeable to the eye. I am going on vacation soon and wanted a nice, new hairstyle for it. Now I don't have enough time to get it redone. I was very upset after leaving the store. My hair looked exactly the same as when I went there (besides the cut). It was just a dark brown, my natural color. I originally wanted the top of my hair black with plum streaks....opted for the red wine color cause it was suggested and the employee was very friendly. I was disappointed immediately when I saw my hair in the mirror, but didn't say anything because it was dark in there. I thought maybe the color would show in the light. I asked multiple people for their opinions - my family, etc and they all said that it doesn't even look like I got my hair colored. Always have loved Ulta, but I don't know how to feel after this. I feel as if though I paid for something that I already had. I will not be going back to this store for hair services. Unfortunately, I think I could have gotten a better dye job in the mall. Just wanted to share my personal experience. I have been in communication with customer service and hope to hear back soon. This ruined my weekend.

    I had an appointment with Samantha tonight and she went above and beyond with my hair! I told her what I was looking for and the color I wanted and the outcome was more then could of ever asked for! I'm so excited to show the world!

    I know this is the best picture. My hair was darker, dry and curly when I came in.

I always leave something in the mailbox for the letter Carrier and set up a Hospitality station on my deck for delivery people. This is a good place to fill up that bin from For the most part, the value is still there despite the tariffs. I have noticed there are not as many soaps and there are more common place items. Good luck trying to find somebody at the jewelry counter. I do feel for the staff because I'm sure that they have reduced the employee count despite the need. The line went smoothly. They got through approximately 50 of us within 20 minutes.

I had been growing out my hair for 3 yrs and decided it was now too long. during this time I've had consistent trims/shape, but since moving I didn't think I could physically make the 1+ hr drive to my old salon bc I'm also physically disabled. I now regret this completely as it would have been less physically painful for me to endure the longer trip than to be going through what I am now. first, she took another client DURING MY APPT. WOW. as for the length, I asked for asymmetry (longer to the front). I warned her that my shrinkage is A LOT & she assured me she understood what I wanted, yet my hair is completely blunt, with no face framing layers. I showed her a reference photo of MYSELF, my own curls, from a little less than 2 yrs ago as a point I wanted to return to. I should have run screaming when she started using a comb on my dry hair, then began twisting tight sections which she would then cut into at an angle in multiple points to "create texture". SHE NEVER HAD MY PERMISSION OR CONSENT to completely change my hair texture, which she did. I even specified the way I style my hair is for DEFINITION, and the way she cut into it has completely destroyed my once perfect spiral curl pattern. I used to get asked if my hair was done by a curling iron or if it was a wig, now it looks absolutely horrible. you can see the after pics as well as a pic of my hair from 3 wks ago. I am completely traumatized by this experience and on my way home I ordered hair clips and even shears to try and salvage this atrocity, but there's no way to go backwards to before she completely chopped at my hair WITHOUT EVEN ASKING ME if that was what I wanted. when I left the salon, I did act like everything was fine, mostly because I still didn't know just how bad it was until I styled it myself, because SHE didn't style it. I was hoping it was just these products my hair disliked, or the humidity today, or my anxiety... I wanted to be wrong. I also thought she seemed genuinely nice and I didn't want to jump to the conclusion I already knew in my gut. when I told her how much I hated it, she eventually offered me a refund after saying I should just let it "grow out". she texted me confirmation of the refund, at which point I sent her the included photos of my hair after styling it normally (). I pressed further about the "added texture", why she would do that, and how can I fix it? she then proceeded to severely gaslight me, claiming my hair texture had probably just changed due to new products or diet, even though I covered both those topics when I was explaining what I wanted from this haircut. it was at this point I let her know what I really thought about her as a stylist and a person after she showed her true colors. the way I was treated was unbelievably horrible and I unfortunately won't soon forget it. I can usually only afford a 2x/yr cut, so for me it's always a big deal that I look forward to, after this I will never again visit a new salon, and I may never go to ANY hairdresser ever again. Cynthia truly did not listen to ANYTHING I said, and I was so nervous and focusing so hard on trying to "act normal" (which she of COURSE brought up to shame me further), that I didn't speak up or just leave when I should have. at first I thought this was just a mistake or a bad day, but after her response via text & lying response, I KNOW she maliciously chopped my hair & is hiding behind having "excellent reviews" as a way to escape the accountability, bc apparently I'm the only one to EVER be unhappy, ever. I am literally so completely devastated over this entire experience, I already know her response will just be more humiliation & deflection, as if a refund could fix it. DON'T MAKE THE MISTAKE I DID by trusting this salon. I can see Yelp has the ACCURATE records of this salon and from now on I will ALWAYS check Yelp too! I plan to follow up by suing Cynthia, she deserves it!
