Again I had bad experiences from this store. I had purchased a product at another Ulta and they did not have the scent I wanted. She said I could wait till they get it in or return it within 30 days. So I saw it at this Ulta and tried to purchase but they wouldn't do even exchange. So they change the rules to how they want. I need to stop giving them chances. I hate to write a negative review BUT... I ordered from the beauty sale 50% for pick up. Today I went in to pick up 2 orders, and one was available and then other could not be found (despite my order confirmation showing it available at the store!) The associate said it was re-stocked with no reason given, but said she would pull the items and re-ring the order. She did, but the item I bought on sale rang up full price! When I pointed it out and showed my order confirmation, she said she could not honor the sale price (even though the store made the mistake?!?!) Now I got an email saying the order was picked up and I was charged for it????? Unacceptable all around! I will dispute and Ulta needs to do better!! read more

Stylists.... save yourselves!!! Do not work here. Especially if you are a stylist. They lie, treat you like a 5 year old and management truly has no clue how to run a salon. Truly. Even if management wanted to do something to improve the salon they couldn't because corporate controls everything and they do not give a rat's behind about the salon department of their stores. The shampoo bowls are seriously some of the most ghetto janky DIY shampoo bowls with office chairs as the base. They do not properly support clients or stylists because they are positioned way too high. The booking system is absolutely horrendous. It will cause both you and your clients to tear your hair out on a near daily basis and it is clear Ulta has no intention of making any improvements. They will make all kinds of stuff up to get you onboard like telling you all the products on the shelf are available to use in backbar, but oh actually you can't use anything that doesn't have a tester and none of the hair products have testers.... and telling you there will be a commission on product sales... lies. All lies. My coworkers were sweet, but they deserve SO much better. I wouldn't wish this salon on any stylist. If you're looking for a job in the beauty industry, best to look for something less corporate. Warren buffet does not care about you. If you decide to leave, they will try to steal your clients even existing ones if you came to work for them and had clients already. Everything they do is shifty and greedy and they made it sound so good when it was actually so terrible. I have worked in a multitude of other salons and I understand that not everything can be perfect, but when it is like pulling teeth to get them to care about the conditions of the salon it isn't worth it. They will tell you certain things like "if the salon makes X amount (unachievable number) this year then maybe we will be eligible for certain upgrades".... but like how are you gonna charge as much as LUXURY salons and expect to make more money with shampoo bowls that don't even look or feel professional!? Be so for real! It feels cheaper than the beauty school and they are charging more than I was charging at a high end salon. It works... ish... but it's not good and it certainly doesn't look or feel professional or luxurious for these prices. It's clear the salons at ultas around the country are having issues keeping stylists as I have heard similar things from other stylists and have been inside other stores whose salons were completely empty/non functional. Pay attention to these red flags. This is not a company that will serve you well. They are professionals at taking advantage of you. read more

Went to the salon and will never be returning, there was so much breakage throughout my hair, I probably could've done the same amount of damage for half the cost and time. Also the manager attempted to overcharge me for my services by an additional $300 for unfinished results, and the stylist couldn't thoroughly dry my hair because then she would have to charge me more. After the work was done, the manager recommend that I should maybe get extensions instead to for the final look !!?? read more

As of today, this location has lost my business permanently. I am so fed up with the poor customer service here and today was the final straw. The benefit make up woman, An older employee with long frizzy hair, snatched an item out of my 2 year old's hand. My child asked if it was okay to touch it, I said yes as he is a GOOD gentle well Behaved child. There was absolutely no need for her to do what she did and in the manner she did. Thankfully Sephora is right across the parking area where I happily spend $168. So Ulta Summit Location, I suggest you spend more time on practicing good customer service skills. Beware if you want a wax lip service at this location. On Tuesday, September 5, 2023, my daughter had an appointment for an upper lip wax service at 11:40am. When we arrived, another client was being serviced, and "Connie" asked if we could wait about 5 or 10 minutes. We agreed, however, it wasn't until 12:05pm, when she was finally available. As Connie prepared her station, I quickly noticed that she was chewing gum, which is COMPLETELY unprofessional! She placed the wax strips as expected, then gave my daughter a mirror to see if there was a spot she missed. Unfortunately, there was still spots of hair on both sides of her face, so, Connie proceeded to re-apply the wax AGAIN. Then kept re-stripping her face multiple times. She sprayed something on her face, and told her that this was to "refresh your skin". It turns out it was Benefits, POREfessional setting spray. My daughter asked for the car keys and told me she was in excruciating pain. After I paid, I went to the car and saw that all around the upper lip area was red and she also had a string of wax hanging as well! She was so angry, that she didn't want to go inside the store. So I went in to speak to a manager named Lexy. I explained to her what happened, and her best response to me was, "I appreciate your feedback". I was so concerned about my daughter, that I didn't react to her lack of empathy. I went back to the car, but my daughter was still in pain. So I walked back into the store and asked Lexy what I could do to help ease the pain? Her answer was to "apply an ice pack". Lexy did not offer to help my daughter in any way. And we don't randomly carry an ice pack in the car. So we left very angry. The same day, my daughter made a complaint to Ulta's customer service number, and was told that a district manager would call within 48 hours. She received a voicemail the following Wednesday, but unfortunately missed the call. She spoke to Sage, the Services Manager on Thursday. Sage seemed extremely professional over the telephone. My daughter sent Sage 3 photos, which i am posting on this review. The are from 3 consecutive days, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. She agreed the Lexy should have called us back in, applied aloe vera, and made sure that the redness was reducing. Unfortunately, my daughter had to miss work because of this incident. Sage asked if we could come into the store, and that she would issue a refund for the service. We could not make it in on Thursday, but she said she would be there until 7:30 on Friday. Today, Friday, we went to Ulta at 7:10pm, just to be told that Sage left an hour ago! We made another trip to Ulta to see Sage. Unfortunately, she was on a phone call, and did not come to talk to us. Ultimately, it was a horrific experience! My daughter has waxed her upper lip multiple times at Sephora with absolutely no adverse reaction. We will never go to Ulta for any Benefit service ever again! read more

This the the fourth time last six months I've come by here to try to shop and it's a gamble on whether the place is open or not. I see three chicks inside...what are they doing? Walked in today just looking to buy a styling tool to help me on my day to day beautification. I was hesitant based on my previous visits at other ulta locations in SoCal. I was pleasantly surprised by this location at the summit mall. It was pristine! Everything was very clean and neat! The store even smelled clean! It was a great experience and Natalie was amazing. She answered my questions and helped me in choosing the right styling tool. Being a manager myself I value the customer service I received today. I will definitely be coming back to this location. Wow. How did I not stop in here sooner!? I've been to all the other Ultas in town and was honestly disappointed. I've never really received good service. Until today. I went in for some new face wash and left with a bag full of product that I cannot wait to try. The staff was friendly and helpful. The store was incredibly clean. Honestly one of the cleanest stores I've ever been in. With COVID I think that is saying something too since so many places have kicked their cleaning up. I was impressed. My wife came in to get a haircut here today and left in tears after the stylist or what they call a stylist butchered her hair to the extent that we walked out and had to call a half dozen salons to find someone capable and willing to take a walk in client last minute. The stylist just kept cutting more and more trying to fix her mistakes and ended up about 4 inches shorter than she wanted and the picture she took in as a reference. Once my wife told the stylist she didn't want her to cut her hair any more and she was not happy the stylist continued to try and put the scissors near her hair and continue cutting as my wife is telling her "no go get your manager". The manager finally came over and was trying to tell my wife that her hair didn't look butchered and would be fixable but we would have to come back the next day for one of the other employees to fix it. The worst service I've gotten from this location. The staff here used to be so good!! They were welcoming and friendly, but today was zero services. I asked where I could find the shampoo and conditioner; the lady in the front pointed to the back and said, "it's in that big tower, and you can't miss it!", then laughed and walked away.
