My daughter felt completely ignored and left feeling insecure with her hair because it was not at all what she wanted. Claudia was disrespectful and sexist. Can't believe in this day in age someone would act like girls can't have short hair?? We will never return to this salon. I called this location to see if they had availability for a hair cut and blow out for medium length, curly hair. The receptionist said they could get me in for a 2:15p appointment. (it was 1:30p when I called) I said sure, I could make that and headed over. I got a call from the salon 10 mins later asking if I could make it at 2:00p instead of 2:15p and I said sure. I got out of line from picking up lunch and made it to the salon at 1:55p. I checked in and sat down. A person checked in and sat next to me at 2:10p and the stylist came up to me and said she was going to give the person that sat down a quick bang trim and would be right with me. (I was thinking ok..why did they tell me to come at 2:00p instead of 2:15p) I overheard the client tell the stylist that she was there for a haircut and blowout and not a bang trim. She went and shampooed her hair and then proceeded to start cutting it. She had her assistant do the blow dry and then came and got me. By this time, it was already 3:00pm. The stylist apologized and said the system booked the client for a bang trim and that was incorrect so that's why it took longer than intended. The stylist washed my hair and asked if I wanted a conditioning treatment for an up charge and I said no thanks. Well it turned out that she asked me that because she shampooed my hair and left me in the bowl with a conditioning treatment anyway because her friend was waiting in the wait area for her hair to be colored. I sat in the bowl for about 35 mins while the stylist mixed and applied the color to her friend. The assistant had left during this time and so she was the only stylist there. My hair didn't start getting cut until 3:30p. Yes, I got a free conditioning treatment, but overall this was a terrible experience. Hire more people and be direct in communicating over booking appointments. If you value your time and quality of salon service, do not come to this location. It's a joke. read more

Six weeks after I visited the salon for a color and a trim, I'm still absolutely shocked by how horrible my hair is. I was naively thinking i just needed to give my new hair a trial period but am sadly mistaken. I came in to get a *slightly* darker color and a trim. Somehow, against my better judgement, I let this horrible hair stylist convince me into a few layers. Not only are my layers uneven, but they are virtually instylable. I asked for two (2!!!!!!!!) inches off. Please see images as that is NOT WHAT I GOT. I GOT 6 - 9 INCHES OFF DEPENDING ON THE LAYER. I'm getting married in about 9 months and I'm absolutely devastated over the amount of work, time and money it's going to take to restore my hair to something manageable by then. I got my haircut here on a whim and chose a random person to cut my hair. I have long straight hair so it isn't hard to do a good job. I don't do layers but somehow layers started happening and I didn't stop it. I don't think I would have like the layered look even if it had been done well, but it was not at all done well. It looked like it had been hack sawed and the technique she used to cut the hair was insane. Do not get your hair cut here unless you have a specific recommendation for a particular hairdresser. When I arrived for my appointment there was a woman there with a terrible dye job who was asking for a refund because her dye job was so bad. I also paid for the deluxe service which is supposed to come with a deep conditioning specific to your hair needs and I'm pretty sure they just put regular conditioner in and let it sit for 3 minutes. Worst $70 I ever spent. Plus I had to pay someone else $55 to fix my hair the next day. I do, however, recommend the facial services they offer. read more

I let them know I'm a novice, asked for advice, made open ended comments - and got close to no advice, insight, or dialogue. There was a lot of awkward silence as she clearly was irritated with me, possibly downright didn't like me, and couldn't wait to be rid of me. I picked out even less than planned. The checker was cold too. When I was surprised but polite that it cost $70 for foundation and lip balm, she was openly irritated and done with me. I now understand I am not their intended customer and that probably threw them off, even so, they were cold and unhelpful under the best interpretation. The checker at Hobby Lobby, a stranger at Walgreens, and a pharmacist - each individually gave me more advice, friendliness, and enthusiasm for make up than all three people I spoke to at Ulta. read more

Every time I go to this location the entire staff is super friendly and helpful. I went to go get a self tanner mist recently and was helped by Alex who was extremely friendly and personable. In addition to directing me to the specific product I was looking for he also suggested some other recommendations and seemed so knowledgeable and excited to share his personal favorites. Due to his genuine excitement I decided to ask him "what else should I know about" and he showed me some other non related products such as "quai" hair oil and now my new favorite hand lotion by "Lano". I then asked him if he knew much about a good product for eye puffiness and he helped direct me to another co worker of his "coumba" who was also very friendly and first asked me what exactly my skin care goals were rather than just tell me what I need.
