Anthony at Ulta on Bell has been coloring and styling my hair for quite sometime after trying other stylists that were not capable of what they are supposed to be doing. Anthony had to go through extensive training to become a top color and stylist! He is excellent and you pay for what you get and I have been very happy with what he has done with my hair. I am absolutely horrified by my experience at the salon. I saw Sarah, and requested a modern 70s Stevie Nicks cut with curtain bangs. I explained I have wavy/curly hair and needed something low maintenance that I can scrunch and go. I got what I can only describe as a jellyfish cut. I had almost a bowl cut with long layers and straight across bangs. It was embarrassing. After explaining my hair texture and wanting something that showed off waves/curls, I was given a huge fluffy blow out so i had no idea how the cut would actually look styled normally. I did express my dislike for the cut and how i got straight across bangs rather than curtain bangs. I was dismissed and told that I was wrong and just "needed a curling iron". If you're a veteran curtain bang girl--you KNOW that's not how to properly style them. She tried and I looked like I just woke up from a bender. I was repeatedly told by staff how "cute" the cut was after I expressed not liking things. It was an unfinished haircut and it's apparent the stylist panicked during it because the layers were disconnected and the bangs were butchered and nowhere near a curtain. I had to drive to a completely different Ulta to spend an hour and a half in the chair getting it completely fixed/redone. The master stylist I saw was horrified and mentioned the cut was unfinished. I have very fine hair and without good texturizing it looks very chunky/disconnected when layered. My bangs were cut so short the new stylist couldn't do anything except a "comb over" from my crown and said it will be 2 months of growth to come back from this cut. At least I now look like myself again. The manager at OG salon DID refund me which I appreciate. But when i showed her a picture of the cut she ALSO doubled down saying it was "cute". It really just made me feel invalidated like I was the problem. Maybe she meant it nicely, but I had been through a lot with my hair in 2 days and honestly, it was an UGLY haircut. I used to come often to get my hair cut here but I found another stylist so my visits have been limited. I usually find it easier to place an order online and have it shipped instead. A few times (like today) when I needed something a bit more urgent, I place an order for pick up. I really appreciate that they offer curbside pick up. My 17 year-old daughter got her ears pierced in July for her birthday. They were uneven. She let one hole grow back so she could get them redone. She took her Christmas money today and told the girl exactly where she wanted the new piercing. The lady argued and said it needed to be lower. They are worse now than before! The manager gaslit her by lying and saying they weren't uneven. After asking for a refund, my child is now BANNED from ever purchasing anything there again. What a trash store. I came in for a hair appointment with Charmaine. I took a huge chance coming in for an all over hair color without first meeting the person & discussing their history, their hair philosophy, & more. The consultation is not just for the hair stylist to learn about the client but for the client to also learn about the hair stylist. But it's 2020 & it's just lawless out there. My gamble paid off & I could not be happier with the color & how awesome Charmaine was. She took the time to listen to me & took her time. Red is a color you can't rush or muck around with. The color is glorious & I am so so happy with it. I will definitely come back to see her. Word of advice, wear a disposable mask if you're going in for hair color. This fall I witnessed absolutely horrific customer service by a stylist to a young lady next to me I held my tongue but fumed... the customer finally got up to walk out with tears but was saved by the experienced stylist that was doing my hair. We made it work so she was able to get her hair done between my services.... It was so horrible that when I left I paid for the young ladies hair services. Today.... I call for an appointment for a simple highlight. My records are in the computer!!! The experienced stylist unfortunately has moved to a different state. I was told that I had to schedule a CONSULTATION before they would schedule my appointment!!! I have never heard of this! When I told the person I would not make two trips to the salon to get my hair done I was told she would refuse to schedule my highlights!!!! The worst customer service in any of the Ultra Stores I have ever encountered!!!!! BTW.... I called the new Ultra by 303 and I have an appointment at 2 this afternoon!!! read more

I'm walking up and down every isle looking for something; I never found it. So I left. You'd think the customers would be first.. but maybe they pay the workers to chat in circles all day long. 2/14/24 Update: I was finally able to get this resolved through Facebook messenger. The store attempted to deny that I'd made a purchase but I was able to prove it by producing a screenshot of my bank account statement. I should not have had to disclose that to prove a purchase was made. That said, I definitely will not be returning to this location and I suggest that everyone who wants their points should verify that the associate entered the correct info before completing your purchase so they don't steal what you're entitled to. My previous issue with this store is still not resolved and Ulta customer service has gone dark. At this point, I am going to assume that the cashier who did my transaction stole the points I was entitled to and that ulta does not care. Since 2009 they have given over 22 million days to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. This particular location is okay. The ladies when available are always super nice and help the best they can. I like online how I can read all the ingredients of products they sell and check inventory in store. It's nice to have this store for last minute needs or to smell scents of new perfumes or colognes when they come out. They have a salon inside which is cool. I no longer have time to go. I did try it over 10 years ago. Like anywhere else it all depends on who you get and no business anywhere special means they are any better than the rest. Its an individual thing. Went here as a new customer today and had an appointment booked with Lizzie. I was nervous coming in because I have a pixie cut that I'm trying to grow out and I had a crazy idea of how to do so. I brought pictures and Lizzie was patient with me and did a very thorough consultation with me and said that my idea was definitely something we could do so we did it! She also colored my hair and added some highlights. She was very honest with me about the bleaching process and me having used box color and not wanting to damage my hair which I greatly appreciated. The highlights came out great and are perfect shade for Fall, my color looks great and I love my new haircut and I'm confident that I can grow out my pixie finally after so many failed attempts over the years. She was very professional and kind and I loved chatting with her during my appointment. I will definitely be back to see Lizzie while we are stationed here (military). Good hairstylists are hard to find, I have tried 3 since we moved here in 2022 and am glad to finally find someone I like. Definitely recommend booking an appointment with her! read more

Do not trust this location. They will steal your online pickup order and then make excuses. I received a text message that my online order had been picked up when I was getting home from dinner. I called right away. I got hung up on after asking to speak to a manager first attenpt. Then called back and talked to Bailey she said she was one of the managers. I asked how was my order picked up and when I never got it. She put me on hold then came back and said do you have an alternative person listed I said yes and gave his name and put me on hold. Then told me the worker gave my alternative aka my boyfriend my order. I said that is not possible he is with me right now and we just got back in the house from dinner no way 5 minutes ago he was at ultra. She said the man showed his ID and it matched. I said your worker stole from me and I want to check the cameras she said only Jessica has access and is not in until Sunday at 10 am one hour before open to call before coming in. I arrived Sunday and was told Jessica won't be in until a few hours. Then when I said I was there to talk to a manager about a worker stealing my order the manager came over and said the worker accidentally gave it to a girl with the same name. I always go back to Lizzy when time and finances allow and she's always kind knowing that I "cheated" on her. She has given me expert advice on color to avoiding frying my very fine hair. She will tell you what's able to be done and what's not. She will tell you yeah we can't go from jet black to platinum blonde in a day otherwise we will fry the ever loving crap out your hair. She is very good at explaining to you why it it isn't healthy for your hair to do some things and get you to understand. Most hairdressers will shut up and take your money, leaving you with fried hair that is harsh to the touch. When I leave Lizzie chair my hair is soft, bouncy, and shiny!. And if I follow her instructions it stays that way. I give her leeway on my hair pretty much and basically give guide lines and let her go crazy otherwise. I have some examples of my hair below from two times she's done it. But we have done every colour of the rainbow and back. If anybody has purchased this tote bag, I beg you to please check everything in your house or wherever you have laid this bag down. I'm devastated and cannot believe what is happening, communication has been the worst with customer service/corporate/insurance this $5 bag is costing us thousands now! The bag was brought back to the facility which they asked me to do so. the bag had came with eggs from the distribution center and now they are hatching, they have left this situation in the dust. Whatever you do NEVER use Lizzie. She is HORRIBLE. She pretends to listen to you about what you want. I ever showed her multiple pictures of what I was wanting before we started. But it just went in one ear and out the other. She fried my hair. I had to get like 3 inches taking off because of her. She did full highlights in my hair. I told her I did not want platinum blonde because it would wash me out and what does she do. Made my highlights platinum blonde. I have three different hair colors now. She claimed to have all this experience but it didn't look like it. I didn't know how blonde it was until I got home. Because she only dried my hair 60 percent. I even tripped her almost 30 percent and she was huffy and puffy about it. Like it wasn't good enough. She also used an ash blonde toner. Which is said I didn't want either. I called to schedule for her to fix it. The girl that scheduled it at Ulta put it as a consultation. Lizzie wasn't there whenever I called because she was off. Even though Lizzie said she worked on that day. The Ulta girl said Lizzie never works on that day. I drive almost an hour and a half to get my hair fixed. Just to have Lizzie tell me she doesn't have time and won't fix it and would charge me to fix it. Why would I have to pay for her messing up my hair. She had an attitude about it. I talked to the store manager who was really nice and I got a refund for the terrible job Lizzie did. This is the last time I will go to Ulta Salon. They always mess up my hair. chemo patient here. growing my hair out. finally after months of growing I went in to Ulta to get a trim around my neck. the stylist cut my hair for 1.5 hours before she had me see what she had done. she chopped off 4 inches and had another stylist come finish the job. she didn't apologize. she didn't say a word. she just chipped away at all my growth. I left crying. with a super short shaven, yes shaven back and short short top. left feeling just defeated. the manager did reimburse me the $50 the horrible haircut cost me but I was still angry. how do you cut for over an hour and a half and just keep cutting knowing you don't know what you're doing. the other stylist informed me that the other women didn't know how to use clippers to clean my neck. I know how the birthday system works they send you an email and you get your free birthday gift, I also know a manager can over ride it in certain situations.
